  1. I'm glad I'm not the only one that was confused. One minute I'm watching the bride who wanted to get married with dolphins reveal what gender her baby is, and then the next thing is a bridal salon in the UK. I was doing other things while watching the first hour where it was at Kleinsfeld, but I'm sure I would have heard and/or seen something that indicated the show jumping to another continent if they had gave some kind of indication that is.
  2. Yes, I found her really annoying. Besides the pricing thing, I also don't understand why she wanted an older home so badly, but then complained about features that older homes have like the rooms and closets being too small. I think that even her real estate agent seemed annoyed by her.
  3. Yes, the only regular round question that I didn't really like was the one about what Alec would pull out of a time capsule. I guess wife made the most sense since that's what most of the panel went with, but all I could think of was how SNL made fun of him a few weeks ago for being so hot when he was younger. So I would have went with condom too. I thought of spit and piss for the car wash question too, and couldn't believe that the contestant went with poop after doing well the first round. I liked him despite the dumb answer too. I would have went with crap for "cut the blank" too, but I said solar power and wouldn't have matched Mario. Finally, I'm not sure why the audience booed Lamorne Morris for answering boyhood; although, I could see why they booed him for some of his other answers. Boyfriend is what came to my mind first, but I don't think boyhood was all that bad since there was the film Boyhood that came out just a few years ago that was nominated for a lot of Oscars. I would have never thought of boy toy, so I also that wasn't such a good final round question since there are so many choices it could have been unlike "cut the blank" which I thought was pretty limited. I didn't think of cord, but I also thought of the three answers the celebrities gave for their answers.
  4. Yes, I know they already pick out a place already, so I thought it was weird that the wife kept going on about the beach property like a little kid especially when they wouldn't be able to work from there even if they were actually picking from those 3 places. I don't know if it was because she had a lower IQ or not, but I got the feeling that something was off about her.
  5. Yes, I don't think they would actually throw the game for one contestant even if the tiebreaker question didn't work. Maybe Adam was right, and they would have done a coin flip if they had to go to a tiebreaker, and neither contestant had any points stills. (Also, small confession, I actually said fire. I was busy doing something else right right before it came back on, so when I sat down to watch again, all I could think of was fire. I knew it was a dumb answer but I didn't even think about Tabasco sauce or magma until the celebrities revealed their answers. So I think it's possible that Ana had brain freeze or was trying to think of what the contestant would answer. I totally blanked out on the Granny stripper question too; although, I thought that she might leave a girdle or some other support garment. Dentures made a lot more sense though. However, the other questions that I can remember now, I would have done a little better. I thought of slippery when wet for the road sign question as most of the panelists. I also would have answered microphone for what does Alec take home question; although, I thought the celebrity panel could be an answer too. The microphone made more sense though, imo. My mind also went straight to penis for the Santa Claus question; although, I think sack was probably the better fit. I would have definitely answered crosswords puzzle, but I would have went with Lady Gaga. Lady Luck made more sense considering that the contestant was so into poker, and in that case, the "cheating" didn't bother me, even though the guy was totally dumb and really didn't "deserve" it.) I did like this week's episode better than last week's even though the contestants on last week's show were mostly clueless about the game as well. I think that the celebrities this week seemed to gel better for some reason, and even Kenan didn't bother me that much despite almost being as bad as the contestants. I think that last week's episode got off to a bad start because Vivica A. Fox protested the judges not awarding the contestant with her answer on the first question, and it seemed to bring down the mood of the room. Plus, it seemed like she was really annoyed by Chris D'Elia, which I couldn't blame her for, since I think he's usually obnoxious; although, the first time he was on the show, it worked, but the second time, he was just annoying.
  6. It was great until WU, but then it was just alright. I liked the spoof of rom-coms which seemed timely after recent news about how young actresses nowadays no longer are making them, and I always felt similar to the way Charlie did tonight about his Grandpa Joe, but Celebrity Family Feud wasn't very good despite Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones giving it their all. Kristin Stewart did a great job though. I'm not sure if it was because I was expecting her to be like Felicity Jones, but I was pleasantly surprised that she was actually funny and not as awkward as I imagined.
  7. I thought the couple from Smtrna, GA was going to "choose" house number one too. It was under budget, plenty of room, and didn't need that much work especially since the woman insisted that they needed to remodel right away despite initially being over budget with the third house. I agree though that I liked that they adopted the 3 legged dog, and they didn't want white cabinets, so they weren't too bad compared to some other couples. At times though she came off as annoying; although, perhaps it was producers' interference that made her seem that way like when she was so against the split level for not having the kind of porch that she just had to have or with the biggest house complaining about almost everything inside of it needing to be replaced despite the fact it was already over their budget.
  8. I thought the Oregon couple was cute too. They seemed like a great fit, and neither one seemed annoying. I liked the first house too even if it was on a busy street. I also liked the custom built even though it would have put them way over their budget if they got all the additions for it. The one that they ended up was okay, but it seemed on the small side for the two of them. As far as location goes though, it makes sense that they went with the smaller house.
  9. Yes, I think Chris D'Elia was right that they should have found two new contestants for the second game; although Alec ripping on both of the contestants probably made up for how dumb they both were.
  10. Yes, as far as I know Monet and the Polks that were chasing her are still alive. I can't believe I went from hoping Lee was going to be the last survivor because of her badassness at the Polks to hoping that she doesn't after she kicked out Dominick to die and would put Audrey in danger just because she wants to erase the confession that she made. I think Pixel maybe right in that there isn't a survivor and that there's some kind of twist in how the lone survivor thing was written.
  11. I can't really think of much to write at this moment because I'm still in shock. I guess my theory that Matt would be the lone survivor died tonight. I totally wasn't expecting that. Also I think I find the Polks even scarier than the ghosts.
  12. I'm not sure if we're allowed to speculate here, but I agree that Matt, Shelby, and Lee are lying and have ulterior motives. I mean I know that logic just goes out the window when thinking about this show, but it seemed like they got a lot of help that the other victims didn't get for some reason. ETA: Somehow I missed mamadrama's post, but I agree with the theory that the Matt and Shelby are the new Polks which is why they were allowed to escape and why they go back to the house.
  13. I didn't even think about the uber driver's name, Rhett Snow, until I saw someone else bring it up in connection with the unfinished MURDE.
  14. Yes, I saw last week right after the last episode that there was a screencap of what looked like the GenXers winning, but then today it seemed these new photos would go with the rumored boot list. I hope it's misdirection though, and the Millenials lose with Figgy being the obvious boot because I hate to see a tribe keep losing early on unless they're really annoying, and so far there's a few people I like on the GenX tribe like Jessica, Ken, and Lucy.
  15. At first I thought it was a mistake, but it would seem to fit with the spoiler posted by Michel with CeCe being the next to be voted out.
  16. I was wondering about that too. I've never read the fine print for the show though, but I wouldn't doubt that they would resort to similar manipulation that American Idol, Dancing With the Stars, and other reality competition shows use to try to make it seem like someone was in the bottom when they really weren't to get their fans to vote for them more. Actually American Idol did have it in their fine print that they could throw out votes if they wanted to, or at least they did early on. I stopped watching around season 7, and then watched the last season, and I didn't read anything in the Grassy Knoll about that rule changing. It was because early on during season one some fans were using power dialing hardware and software, so to combat any effect they would have on voting, they created a clause where they could throw out any votes that were deemed suspicious. Or if I put on my tinfoil hat, perhaps there never outside manipulation that happened, but the producers just wanted a way to create a loophole where they could throw out votes. I don't think that it was ever used, or if it was, it probably didn't affect things that much. For instance, I only heard one rumor about it being used back in season 3 when George Huff and Jasmine Trias were up for elimination. The rumor is that Huff actually had a very slim margin victory over Trias, but Simon Fuller wanted an all female finale, so they used the clause. I doubt it happened because Huff seemed to peak early on, and Gloria Estefan and Donna Summer theme nights didn't help him any at the end either, so it's not too hard to believe that Trias's fanbase would have carried her to the finale. Anyhow, I don't think that AI would ever go so far to pick their own winner and disregard voting altogether, but I could see why they had that clause to protect themselves.
  17. Yes, I'm not sure if it was because I kept flipping back and forth during the commercials to the Olympics or not, but I didn't like this week's episode as much as the others. There seemed to be more dud questions, and even when the "good" questions were marred either by how dumb the celebrities were or how dumb the contestants were. I like Ellie Kemper, David Alan Grier, and Natasha Lyonne outside of this show, but they really shouldn't be asked back. Jerry O'Connell wasn't too bad; although, I found him to be dull outside of the belly dancing.
  18. Yes, I think hamburgers was too generic of an answer. I think they should have had her be more specific because I was thinking "Big Mac" as the answer, but I also thought that some of the judges might say "Quarter Pounder" or even "Whopper", even though the latter is from Burger King. It seems the opposite of the Judge Judy answer last week since they were looking for a specific euphemism there. Plus, if a contestant had answered "Big Mac", I think the judges would have ruled that "Whopper" wasn't a match which seems totally unfair. Overall, I agree it was a pretty good show; although Ali bugged me at times too especially on that last answer. I was so excited to see that there might actually be a high scoring tie game too, and then it didn't happen all because of her answer. I get what she was going for, but I think she should have went with the obvious answer of "old spice" since I felt it was one of the questions that had a definitive answer. I answered Batmobile and paint brush for the Batman and Davinci questions; although, I thought about beard for the latter question. I had no clue about the Baby Shaq one. I was thinking a big bird like Jack, but I couldn't think of one that flew, so I went with airplane like the contestant did. I did like Kal's answer; although, I do think he overthought it a bit. For the Playgirl question, I answered back like the contestant too just because I thought about those funny videos out there of guys' waxing their backs, and because I really didn't want to think about Alec waxing his pubic area, lol. Finally, for the Victoria's secret question, I thought of bits of lettuce, which probably would have been booed, because I was trying to think of something that was basically calorie free. I thought the ice cube answer was probably the best answer, and wished I would have thought of it. I have heard of the cotton balls thing being true, but I don't think most people probably know about that or at least think about that when trying to think of a funny answer.
  19. Yes, I watch the first part to see what house will end up being chosen, but lately I've been tuning out for the last half until the reveal, and that's only because I want to know how much overbudget it ends up going. I knew it was a bad sign when the wife talked about her preferred interior style was like an old farmhouse. I was like, "yep, I know where this is going already."
  20. For the Al Roker question, I guessed Chocolate Rain too. I was trying to think of weather related words and that popped into my head because of that guy from YouTube. Thunder or storm makes a lot more sense though. Yes, for the Barbie question, I was thinking of Barbie's sister Skipper at first, but I figured that most of the celebrities probably wouldn't remember and changed it to clothes. Shoes wasn't exactly a bad answer, I thought, it's just that there was so many different ways that question could have gone. I also went with all rise for the Judge Judy question. Finally, for the Shark Tank question, I was thinking thong which probably would have gotten booed. Fin or tank top was a good answer though, but again like the Barbie question there's a lot of ways that it could go. It seems like there's a pattern of there being one really easy question like the Kimye one or the Scarlett Johannson question per round, and then there's the overthinking and/or dud question. I feel somewhat bad when one of the contestants ends up getting both of the bad questions especially if the other contestant doesn't seem very bright, but I guess they can't make all the questions too easy.
  21. I agree with Irlandesa that they were lower key, but it was nice. While some of them didn't give the best answers, I didn't feel like anyone wasn't into it like I did with all of the other episodes except for last week's episode. I thought it was a good balance between wanting to help the contestants and being entertaining. I would also add Niecy Nash to a permanent panel that consists of Rosie O'Donnell, Leslie Jones, and maybe Tituss Burgess because he and Rosie get along so well. However, I also agree with Irlandsea that I don't know where they find the contestants. I think that tonight's episode would have potentially matched last week's or came close if they contestants weren't so awful. Although to be fair to the girl in the second game, I think that she got stuck with two dud questions. She definitely would have won had she got the Kimye question. Those other three contestants though were pretty dumb especially the one that answered hair.
  22. Yes, I don't think they were blatantly cheating at least during the phase I part of the show when there were two contestants. It seemed that the bottom row especially Leslie just wanted to see what the others wrote, but either their answers were different or they had already submitted their answers. In the phase II part though, there was active discussion or cheating going on at least for the first contestant, but it didn't matter anyway because he answered security breach instead of what the group went with which was guard. With the second contestant, there wasn't really a need to because I think everyone thought of control right away, so they didn't have a discussion on what was the best answer to go with. It didn't really bother me that much since I think they were trying to help the contestant win more money, and in the end it didn't matter since the contestant didn't go with the answer that they came up with. I agree! I could see how Leslie Jones could annoy people, but it was like the panel was feeding off her energy, and it made everyone really lively and get into it. Plus, I think the answers were a lot better this time, or maybe it was the questions being better even the really weird questions like the one about the army didn't require too much overthinking this time, imo.
  23. Alisan's song will probably move up, but I thought she was terrible this week. Usually I think she's fine even if I do think she's been oversinging everything except for her audition and then last week, but it didn't even sound like she was singing this week just screaming and screeching. I'm sure she'll still win though unless Adam or Laith can surprise.
  24. I agree that I really enjoyed the first nine episodes especially from episode 3 on, but after that I think the Dong dilemma and the trial take it too over the top. Also, I usually enjoy Tim Blake Nelson, but I really disliked Randy because of how stupid that they made him. I hope that they cut out his character next season or at least not make him as dumb if they feel that they have to keep the character. I also love the suggestion of getting to see the lives of Kimmy's bunker mates from time to time. I know there was one when she tried enrolling in the eighth grade. Something about how she should be able to do it since Billy Madison did it, but the lady that Kimmy pointed out that Billy wasn't a real person and that he also came from money unlike Kimmy.
  25. I'm only up to episode 8 so far, but I agree that it's sweet but not too sweet. I was a bit worried when I read a few reviews about how much of a Pollyanna, Kimmy was, and I thought it might be annoying after awhile. I love what the show is doing so far with Kimmy's character though. I just wanted to reply though because you brought up The Middle, and Kimmy reminds me a lot of Sue Sue Heck, one of my favorite tv characters of all time. I think that so far the writers of UKS are able to walk a better balance of making Kimmy optimistic and naive, but not too much so that it becomes totally unrealistic like Sue can be at times. Of course, the writers for The Middle have had to write a ton more episodes, so it's probably unfair to compare them too much at this stage.
