  1. I smell episodes burning off.
  2. I just watched this on Hulu and this is definitely one of the biggest fails I've seen. I knew month 5 was not going to go well when she had that giant taco bowl with (no-carb?) sour cream as an example of her following the diet. If Barbara is able to follow the 1200 calorie diet, then her portioning isn't the problem. Jeanne wants to eat and she wants to prove that she's special. The amount of times she wanted to prove Dr. Now wrong and shove it in his face was hilarious. Dr. Now wants patients to succeed, but he's not going to do weight loss surgery on someone who can't deal with cravings and will re-inflate their stomach within a few months. I think both of them need some therapy to untangle their issues.
  3. Of the actors, I was most surprised by Sam Underwood. He had excellent annunciation. I never knew some of those lyrics until last night.
  4. Of course, it's weird that his wife's name was Jeanie.
  5. There was more singing and dancing in this episode than in Perfect Harmony on NBC. However, I'm glad I didn't have to hear an 80's song rearranged from some unknown CW artist.
  6. So, is Arthur just going to embarrass himself every week to fit in with the local rubes?
  7. Also, he is a VAMPIR and not a vampire. He's the character who intentionally pronounces things wrong.
  8. Next week Nolan TALKS DOWN a nuke. If it's partially load bearing, he might not be taking it all down right away. Nolan had a contracting business, but he had multiple guys working for him. Doing this by himself means slow going. Also, this is a TV show and the never finished renovation project is kind of a trope.
  9. I think it started with Clara, continued with Capaldi's stories and kept going with Whittaker. Plus, there's the underlying issue that Doctor Who doesn't make a lot of money for the BBC. I think the weak story lines are a bigger factor than acting ability or the gender of the Doctor.
  10. I have to say that the "placebo effect" with Holy Water was kind of hilarious. There's no scientific method to determine if water is holy or regular, so a non-believer wouldn't think holy water was special anyway. If a priest holds a bottle of regular water and performs a blessing while splashing it on a demon, he's pretty much doing the same thing as it would take to make the water holy anyway.
  11. I think the girl looks like Michael Emerson and that's why she's scaring the hell out of people. This show is definitely getting tiresome. From the viewer's perspective, a lot of supernatural stuff is happening but they're always just short of finding proof.
  12. Since we're back on the artificial gravity discussion, this is what I referred to. From "Matters of Honor" Delenn: The White Star is a new breed of Minbari warship. Smaller than our other fleet ships, and faster than anything else her size. It uses both Minbari and Vorlon technology. Most important, unlike other vessels her size this one can make its own jump point into hyperspace. Ivanova: Very nice. It looks just different enough, so it won't be recognized as a Minbari ship. Lennier: Yes, exactly. Ivanova: I'll take two. Sheridan: I've noticed you have artificial gravity. Our ships have to use rotating sections. Delenn: Our drive systems are based partly on magnetic and gravitational principles. We've had artificial gravity for some time now. This way. At least in this scene, Delenn seems to make a point that the Minbari had artificial gravity for some time, as if this were something Sheridan / Earthforce did not know about. Obviously, the Minbari didn't share that with Earth. If the Centaui had it, did they (and the Narn, who stole their technology) just refuse to sell it or mention it to humans? I don't recall seeing that in the series.
  13. I still have trouble figuring out how many students are at the Salvatore School. They seem to be broken up into vampire, witch and werewolf groups and they have their own social orders. If I remember correctly, some time after the Hollow was defeated on the Originals, Hope was sent to the school because she couldn't be around most of her family. She's been there for a number of years. Then there was the whole thing with making a hybrid. I think Hope got a higher profile after the Malivore monsters started showing up and she had a reason to use her skills.
  14. Ah, Mystic Falls, never stop your traditions no matter how many people are maimed by them. Raf is back and he doesn't remember Hope. Which Saltzman daughter is crazier, the one going all Carrie or the one with the invisible lover? Apparently, the headmaster is Malivore, or maybe Clarke. There's a new sheriff in town, and no one has explained the whole magical being thing to her. And why wouldn't you have a Halloween episode of Legacies? Must be a low ratings night.
  15. I don't know that Nolan could look at her HR file. Even if Grey or Nolan could, I don't see how they could make the leap from 5% pay bump to paying child support. It still seems like if she were interested in better pay, she could find something in the private sector.
  16. Everyone's powers are plot-specific. When the Travelers created an anti-magic zone around Mystic Falls, the werewolves had their curse reset. Presumably, that would revert Raf to human. However, I think his mind is wolfed-up too, so no the best solution.
  17. In this case, I believe mature is code for "old." This was a pretty weak episode. It brings me back to the S1 episodes where Nolan was with Tim and they got into gun battles. The good news is that Nolan's TO has no ability to get Nolan fired. Apparently, she's Dirty Harriet who wants to get her kid back. I would think she'd have a better chance and make more money if she got a job in the private sector.
  18. I think that Kaleb was the recipient of a character arc. He started out doing wrong things by Salvatore School standards (but morally neutral by TVD standards). However, he also learned that feeding on local high school girls and convincing potential rippers like MG were bad ideas and there was a reason for Alaric to forbid them. The good news is that Kaleb learned he went too far and Alaric realized that his students needed to learn some self-defense. I think Kaleb is a smarter and wiser character than he was a year ago. I just think he was kind of an asshole back then. The whole point of the school is that the kids can't use 100% of their abilities and exist among other people. Otherwise, they could just be taught by the coven / pack / sires. I consider the story is of a school that has been open for a decade with few issues and that Alaric has been a good headmaster until the Malivore stuff blew things up.
  19. I remember there was some disappointment that Jughead wasn't asexual on Riverdale like one of the versions of him in the comics. It might be possible that they do this with Bess. However, lazy writing makes it difficult to write a character without relationship drama.
  20. She'll probably figure it out next week. However, it's possible Ned/Nick put his number in her phone and she's only seen "Nick" come up all this time. Of course, that means it should have come up as Nick when she dialed it. So, either he has a burner or they don't make booty calls. Also, the less supernatural explanation about the ghost is that Nancy has some repressed memory that's slowly manifesting itself.
  21. Flip or Flop would buy bungalows in SoCal that looked like 800 sq. ft. toilets and sell them for three quarters of a million.
  22. Thinking the same thing. Blake in jail will last as long as it takes Adam to get himself into jail.
  23. I'd like Hulu to release episodes at 8 or 9pm. There are shows I watch on Hulu the next day, but 5am loses some specialness.
  24. First of all, I think Damon was a monster, which is why he was the villain of Season 1. I never went in for that woobie redemption crap and I think he should have been killed ASAP. Even Stefan was too unstable to be allowed to go bad (over and over). As for Kaleb, when we first saw his blood drinking, he offered to let MG some of the girl he had compelled, like she was a bottle of beer. Plus, "forget this happened" and "Date's over. It's not me, it's you" aren't pleasant reasons to forget.
  25. Caroline was also more aggro when she was drinking from people. She killed one person and compelled a girl because she was talking to Caroline's boyfriend. Also, Hope was kicked out for turning a werewolf into a hybrid, which was a serious violation and led to the boy's death. From what I can tell, Hope's blood relatives didn't discipline her at all, so not very parental. Let's not forget we met Kaleb when he was assaulting girls and compelling them to forget. He was an asshole for a number of episodes.
