  1. I was kinda puzzled as to why Denise was so protective of the kids (all teenagers except Eloise) when we all know she curses like a sailor on leave 24/7 and then she said it -- she doesn't want to get a reputation in the neighborhood with the girls' guests talking about wild things they heard at the Richards/Phyphers house.
  2. I noticed that too -- I guess it's cool to have that written on your designer handbag when it's well known around town that you're currently broke and stiffing people left and right.
  3. Does anyone really believe that Dorit wants to stay home dressed in WalMart sweats spending her days with Jaggie and little what's her name rather than get glammed up and be photographed for hours? Not on your life!
  4. The zebra pantsuit didn't even fit Rinna -- the pants were just too damn big on her and miles too long. Those huge bell bottoms went out with 1972. Teddi clings so hard to her perception of herself as "direct", but she needs to learn the definition of the word tact. It doesn't mean "fake". Seems like she never even considers thinking about the feelings of the person she's talking to. Her feelings about any particular thing are the only correct ones. And she'll cry if you disagree with that.
  5. It's hardly a fair comparison. Kim is drinking her life into the toilet with nothing to show for the money she made all those years, while Kyle and Mauricio get up and work every day to afford all of what we see them enjoying. So they like to party. They did a good job raising their 3 of their 4 daughters to adulthood with their heads on straight and they can afford to live well. I don't hear about Mauricio or Kyle getting wasted and missing appointments, not showing up for commitments or getting into drunken screaming matches. There's a difference between scratching your ass and tearing yourself to pieces.
  6. Well some kind of bizarre vibe anyway -- good gawd what was that claptrap Aaron was going on about?? Concerned they're being followed because this discovery is such a threat to whom? Both seemed a bit off their rocker. And I was thinking if all this stuff he has Denise using is so amazingly effective, how come in the following episode she's still in such delicate shape the same as anyone else after abdominal surgery?
  7. Not having heard of her before, I had to say I really liked how she shared her humble beginnings, how firm she was with her sons and the way she's going about raising them to be polite, grounded young men. Total respect for her as a mother, making them share the household chores, say Grace before meals, training them to be gentlemen by asking "who's going to hold the door for the lady?" and her stance on No Gucci until you get a job and buy it for yourself.
  8. Sutton's Southern upper crust upbringing might not allow her to fit in very well in Beverly Hills, but I don't see anything too unexpected or strange about her. She doesn't seem overly delusional or anything. "Socially awkward" I think is accurate because she is a bit of a fish out of water in BH. I agree with Sutton that Teddi was rude. She WAS when she said to various guests that she didn't care if they came or not. I mean, when you invite someone to your shindig, you should be able to at least pretend you want them to come. (I don't get all her "I must be direct" b.s.) I saw how her hubby comforted her after her little tantrum/melt down and realized how he's got his hands full with her over-sensitivity. And let's face it, she was this way before she was p.g.
  9. Oh lord Kidd, don't sugarcoat it like that - LOL. (Totally agree!)
  10. We got a chance to see how she'd operate when she was invited to go on that Haiti trip with Bethenny. The woman has an extremely serious problem that is probably going to be with her for life. She'll kick the habit from time to time but I think with her entrenched addiction, she will likely always go back. She made a very big mistake by not getting the best professional help she could afford right after Richard's funeral. You have to think she was an absolute mess, but the longer you let the brain malfunction, it gets harder and harder to change its patterns. Once you hit your 70s, it's over - you are what you've done to your brain all those years because at that point it's unlikely any type of therapy/drugs will actually be able to change anything no matter how much she might want to.
  11. Haha! Well, if you can't even make it past 7 years in a marriage, you probably don't have what it takes for the marriage last long enough for the old dude to croak naturally. He was only 68 when they married. He married wife number 5 in 2010 - seems like this guy will still last another few years. He certainly can afford the best care.
  12. I was thinking the same thing when I watched her flirt with the big-$$ house owner. That guy is so not interested in a woman Ramona's age -- he's looking at the 30-somethings.
  13. How ironic that Sonja was going around bragging that she wasn't a trophy wife, she was PARTNERS with old man Morgan. Because it was her and her business mistakes as his "partner" that torpedoed the marriage during the time she was playing out her delusions as a heavy-hitting Hollywood producer. The whole thing resulted in her and Mr. Morgan getting named in one huge mess of a lawsuit that cost him quite a few millions to clean up. I read somewhere that this is what caused the end of Lady Morgan's high-class marriage.
  14. As long as we're discussing proper technical terms, unless Leah spread her labia, you wouldn't be able to see her vulva. The tattoo was probably on the area of her mons or labia -- the external genital area.
  15. IKR! She told us why -- she still wants a man to make love to her, to hold her, to want her. She was married for quite a few years and became accustomed to it. I can't imagine anyone has a problem understanding why (at 60! horrors!) she's looking for a man to replace Mario.
  16. I think the person at Bravo who doesn't like Jill is Andy.
  17. LuAnn is pretty self-centered and if I had to live with her she'd drive me crazy. But what I would do to have her hair! Even in her mug shot her hair still looked not too bad. Honestly, no matter what style she chooses, long or short, her hair always looks fabulous.
  18. I was pretty shocked and in fact dubious about Bruin's mother "losing" the baby, when in the previous episode Brandi was saying the paternity test came out confirming fatherhood. While I do think there are tests for paternity that can be administered before the baby is born, it involves risk. Because of that, it's much more common for paternity tests to be performed after the baby's birth. I mean, there are not that many urgent reasons for paternity testing before birth. Not to say it couldn't happen, but my cynicism tells me they found out the new baby wasn't a full sibling to Bruin. And that, plus the fact they didn't really have the emotional resources to handle another addition to the family so soon makes me think they passed on adopting. I think Bravo might have drummed up the story of bio mom "losing" the baby in order to sidestep any flak they might have received for wanting the baby only if it was Bruin's full sibling (which IMHO was a totally reasonable condition to adopting).
  19. This is why wealthy people usually marry other wealthy people. A family with that kind of money makes a Trust in order to keep the family assets intact, especially when a marriage takes place and the financial status is so disparate. Otherwise, some grasping (say, broke with kids) woman can wangle her way into the family with looks and sex appeal being her only assets, and later dump him and make a claim on the money -- that neither of them actually earned. So Kary is chafing at this arrangement probably having learned years ago that the Trust is there to keep her hands off Eduardo's family money. If you think about it, his family probably feels he's been generous enough already, supporting in style three kids that aren't even his. (This fact alone would successfully torpedo any claim of 'financial abuse'.) The idea behind a pre-nuptial agreement is to put a plan in place for the future. It's common for a financial settlement to be paid to the non-wealthy partner to compensate them for signing the agreement. Kary probably did get some sort of financial settlement, but then blew through it instead of investing it or keeping it aside as separate property for her own benefit or that of her children. So now here she sits wanting to quit the marriage and knowing she's signed away whatever legal rights she had to force him to give her anything more. I think it's pretty likely that Kary has few business skills and if she was ever gainfully employed, it's meaningless at this point. All she knows now is how to be the pampered wife of a wealthy man. Her knowledge is probably strictly limited to buying baubles and following fashion. That's not going to get her very far in the business world. Plus she's still got kids to finish raising and she's too old to catch another good-looking rich husband this time around. Working with what looks and sex appeal she still has, she'll need to go up substantially in age for her next rich husband. Anybody remember Charro?? Coochie coochie!! Maybe Kary can take up learning Flamenco guitar.
  20. Just catching up during coronavirus -- I think Sterling hit the nail on the head regarding that relationship. Kary was happy enough with the status quo, but then found out Eduardo has a mistress. He's not giving her up, and Kary has to like it or lump it. Naturally, Kary is lumping it big time and is angry and frustrated about her lack of power in the relationship. She'd like to leave, but would face being a pauper compared with her current situation. So she stews about how to get out of a marriage where she's become second banana. If she already had a 2 year old child by him at the time they married, she was probably content just to legitimize her child and get the Mrs. in front of her name, not to mention access to his income. Now that she's older and wiser in the ways of the world, she realizes the position she's in and is clearly a very unhappy woman.
  21. Chinatown in Honolulu has quite a few small meat markets and about every third one has a pig head in the deli case.
  22. I think it was Mu Shu who posted "at least Shane was nice to Gina this time" or words to that effect. After seeing your thoughts above, it occurs to me that if Shane knew Gina was going to get stood up, that's probably why he held back on the snark. He was happy enough to watch the fallout with the extra added bonus of seeing Gina and Emily on the outs again. Sadist little bastard.
  23. Every time he's on camera, it's noticeable to me how careful Steve is to not even brush up against Vicki. God forbid he should put his arm around her. This ep they're talking about a proposal, but Steve's behavior toward her is like they're still new acquaintances. And Vicki's uptightness at sex talk isn't new, but her self restraint in general didn't exist before Steve. I haven't read far through this episode's board, but did we just see Vicki wearing her new engagement ring and no shots of an actual proposal? Have I missed something?
  24. I don't think Shannon had any illusions about the girls attaining anything resembling zen, but I think she thought she would be able to enjoy the place. How wrong she was.
  25. Had nothing to do with her BAC -- one-year suspension for DUI is standard statewide in California. It does not vary by county.
