The Bowers family are friends with the Duggars. The Bowers are often lumped in with the Bontragers, because the parents married off their two oldest children/daughters to two of the Bontrager sons. The Bowers have 9 kids. The oldest two are girls/Bontrager wives. Then there are six boys, who don't seem to have good job prospects kind of like the Rods. The Bowers are grifters. Like most fundies, they don't care about social distancing, mask-wearing or Corona. They're travelling around the country and ignoring any health guidelines. Their recent blog post shows them at various sites such as the Alamo. It also shows them with JB and Michelle and four of the Duggar kids. (The Duggars are not at the Alamo.) @Sew Sumi may know which ones and if I missed anyone. The leghumpers are defending the Duggars right to break social distancing on Lily and Ellie's blog. 🤬

No I don't know of Michelle having any other Gothard relatives with the exception of J'Tyler. Fundie wiki doesn't list any.

I don't think she lived with them for months. She just was over there a lot.

Yes I posted that her father has four kids and runs a ministry with Dwain Swanson, but didn't want to use her last name to try to protect the innocent. Nor do I think her parents lost custody. I think she lives with them (her parents) near Great Aunt Michelle and her family.

Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
Now, now sh*t like the pandemic also makes these two years seem longer. Also Lauren and Si seem to be in a better place since their daughter was born. I predict Baby C in early 2021. (In other words, I think she might be pregnant, but I've been wrong and right equally with this crowd.) -
We don't actually know Emily is living at Josh's and Anna's house. I believe Emily's parents live in the area. She could be living a) with her parents, who live in the area b) with Josh and Anna c) at the TTH, but no one knows which one. Emily is the youngest of four children and the only girl. One of her brothers turned up in photos posted by the Duggar's fundie friends who live in AR. Her father is Michelle's nephew. He runs a ministry with Dwain Swanson, Si's father-in-law. I'm not sure it would be caled fostering, since Emily's parents haven't officially lost custody of their children (as far as we know). I wasn't sure that was Emily since her hair is different than in the other pictures I've seen of her.

Who is the girl with the dark hair with red tips? She is too old to be a Duggar granddaughter and I didn't think any Duggar girls had hair that color.

I feel sorry for Jessa; her bitchiness has been overexaggerated to the point where it's hard to believe. JB and Michelle are shitty parents who are incapable of loving anyone but themselves. It's no wonder their kids don't have natural affection, compassion, or understanding of other people and their feelings and how relationships work. Topic: It's hard to believe Jill and Derick are so boring, they aren't being discussed in their own thread.

Mitchell and Bryn Bontrager are expecting #2 in December. Their oldest turned 1 in March. All of the Bontragers are quiverfull. The Bontragers have 4 married children. 2 of the children (Josh and his wife Cassidy)(Chelsy and her husband John Maxwell) have 2 children each. Both of their second children born within the last three months. Their other married children (Carson and his wife Carolina) and (Mitchell and his wife Bryn) are expecting #2 this year. Carolina is due the end of August. Allison Bontrager is planning to get married in August. She is their third child. There are two young Bontragers who could be a match for single fundies, such as the single Rod adult daughters. These people aren't taking COVID seriously (not social distancing, wearing a mask, etc.). I hope for Bryn's sake she and her husband is trying to social distance more and that she has a healthy pregnancy/delivery/baby.

She was five years old! Children that age can lack understanding and she (Jessa) was probably looking for attention from her checked out mama! The Duggars and their fundie friends seem to believe that a child that age can hold sin in their hearts like an adult. Within the last month Ashley Nicole Young's husband's post from less than a month ago about how their four year old child had a"sinful nature" and I thought they (Ashley and her husband) were insane.! I don't think Jessa is a bitch (or at least as much as a bitch as she is made out to be). Michelle and JB were/are terrible parents, who should never have paraded on television as role models.

Actually the laundry room breakdown happened when Joe was a baby. Joe/Joseph and Jinger are the second closest in age siblings besides Jordyn and Josie (Josie was premature; Joe wasn't 4 months early). Jinger and Joe are 13 months apart. She was between a year old and 2 years old when the laundry room breakdown happened (not even in preschool yet).

The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah
Temperance replied to SpaghettiTuesdays's topic in Counting On
I'm sure Jana is being introduced to any eligible men they can find. I think most of these matches are either arranged by the parents or the young people are allowed some fraternization with other people of similar beliefs. It is expected that a new courtship will be announced soon probably one of the boys. It's now been 2 years since they last announced a new courtship. -
And now a word from Allison Bontrager! Allison is 26, engaged, planning an August wedding, and has a message for single ladies: Wait for a Real Man Today I just have a few thoughts to share. I only want to tell every girl to know that the right man will treasure her, will be noble, will pursue Jesus before he pursues her. A good man will treat you like a queen. Best of all, he will point you to the King. Girls, I know you’ve heard it a hundred times, but PLEASE DON’T SETTLE. I am not talking about a perfect man, but one that is good, Godly, and a true gentleman. He will make mistakes, but when he does, he will have the character to admit he’s wrong. A good man will fail, but try again. A real man won’t leave you wondering if he is serious about life and following Christ- he will prove it by the way he lives today. A true man will pursue you honorably and treat you tenderly. You will be more of the woman God created you to be with him, not less. He won’t pull you down, but help you climb higher. This is a man to wait for- and don’t you dare settle for anything less. And send this post to a friend who could use some encouragement. I only hope some girl will read this and decide to wait for the real man God has for her. That’s all, girls. Leave me a comment and tell me what you think. I’m praising Jesus for the real man He has so graciously given me, and praying that by His grace I can encourage some girls to wait for one as well. And to love Jesus and live FULL, productive, meaningful single OR married lives. love, Allison

Her own parents are big-time conspiracy nuts. (I'd say more, but don't want to break rules.)

Well I couldn't tell which baby is which.

Quoting myself to add something. I was rush typing this yesterday, but I realised later that there was a reason why I thought COVID might necessitate some sort of emergency delivery/c-section. I'm putting in a spoiler, because it may be too upsetting for some people. (concerns pregnant women and corona). Topic: Ben and Jessa should be more worried about COVID in general.

Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
You mean Garrett, not Giddy. Giddy turned 2 in February before we were in quarantine. And technically Jill's kids have been over 2 the entire time. -

There was a further comment added yesterday underneath Teri's comment above (in the post I'm quoting). It's from Lauren and she says in reply to Teri: "I think it can depend on the couple. I have seen some couples are able to be independent near their relatives, and I have seen some find that being near relatives can make things difficult. It’s always so important for couples to make those decisions together, early on, to avoid conflicts in the marriage later. Genesis 2:24: Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. How each couple, and their families, must follow that verse is going to be so different."

Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
When did she say that? (I must have missed that). -
I don't think c-sections are things to be "cavalier" about, but a lot of my friends ended up needing c-sections and emergency c-sections even with very good prenatal care. Things happen and I think it's best we don't shame women for c-sections. Part of why Jill Dillard was depressed was because her community wasn't terribly supportive of c-sections. I think it's best we don't shame women for having them. As for the pandemic, I take it very seriously. I never go anywhere without my mask even outside. I'm trying to be as cautious as I can and I'm not pregnant. Fundies are idiots and apparently most of them Covidiots. The above scenario was worst case. Joy may need another c-section anyway and I hope her doctor is kind to her. As for Jessa, there were rumors she was pregnant, but she doesn't look very pregnant in the photos of this week so who knows.

@Christina87 How are you? It's good to hear from you again.

Yes it puts her at greater risk, but if they decided it was best, they can do an emergency c-section. If they did an emergency c-section, there might be health risks/consequences, but probably the baby would be all right. She's significantly farther along than when Michelle had Josie. Joy is 32 weeks and Michelle was about 26 weeks with Josie. Any other pregnant Duggar/Bates are far enough from a due date that they wouldn't be able to a c-section in the same way.
