  1. She did get screwed. The construction business, especially now, has to be a gold mine. I cannot believe she does not even own a home, that should have been part of the settlement. Also, Rents are skyrocketing in the OC right now so, unless she got a multi year lease-which I doubt- that's going to be her next problem. With that crappy settlement David should be stepping up on the college expenses. He can afford it and they are his daughters too. I thought I heard her call him Rine, not Ryan?
  2. I would think they would have had 529 accounts set up. Most of my upper middle class friends did this with their kids and only one would have been David/Shannon level rich-they had a movie room in their home, but no basketball court. Accountants recommend it for many reasons. If not, who was paying what towards the girls education could, and should, have been negotiated. I seriously doubt there isn't a 529 or, at least a specified savings plan for college.
  3. Shsnnon only got 1.4? Was that cash? No real estate, is she still renting? Who the hell was her attorney? I can't believe David is not responsible for the college expenses, or at least the majority of them.
  4. I agree Heather is awful, but I still think Erika holds the title of worst Housewife. Heather is reminding me a lot of first season Camille, although I still felt sorry for Camille with what Kelsey did to her. I don't expect to be developing any sympathy for Heather.
  5. I watched for a while and had the same thought. Did they deliberately want to show us that Heather was always that bad? Wasn't there a season where she was actually a halfway decent person? Still pretentious, but kinda human? Because I don't recall detesting her before and now I am wondering why
  6. I certainly agree on the similar names. As for the other, I ALWAYS have mixed feelings about women like Noella. I can't help feel a little sorry for them. Yet the stupidity is staggering. Marriages frequently do not last. Men frequently dump their wives and then also decide not to support their kids either. How does any woman not know that? Or do they just think they are so special it can't happen to them?
  7. I never understood how they got selected. I do think they were kept because they were already firing three, and thought they needed familiar faces to hold viewers. I also think a lot of viewers, myself included, warmed to Gina last year. Unfortunately, she managed ruin that quite quickly this season. Emily has always bored me. So far I have been more interested in the newbies, which is odd. We will see if it lasts. It may just be that I am disappointed in Heather's return (yes, I knew she was pretentious, but I guess that sounded better after trashy Tamra, Brownwind and Kelly than it actually is) and, while I don't hate Shannon, I find her exhausting. She is truly neurotic and now she just seems sad. She was sad when divorcing David, but I think we all knew it was for the best. SUCH a miserable marriage. But, once again, Shannon insists all is well but the audience knows she is lying.
  8. You are right about the comparison to Camille, but I hadn't thought of it myself. Good catch. Camille knew she had been hated 1st season and, if course, had to have been horribly humiliated by the disgusting way Kelsey handled wanting a divorce. Maybe Shannon just got scared by all the firings? I also agree 100% about Heather. Yes, I knew she was pretentious. I didn't mind it much. There was so much completely trashy, drunken behavior from Tamra Vickie and others, I kind of liked that Heather acted above that. But, this year, she is just downright mean. I find Shannon exhausting, but I don't think she was being malicious at all, yet Heather acts as if it was some sinister plot. I also notice that Heather is clearly the Queen Bee this year and everyone is trying desperately to please her. It's not fun to watch. Like many others, I was liking Gina last year. This year, she seems to be going for the Tamra Judge shit stirring award, but she isn't even as subtle as Tammy Sue. Butt out Gina. I have always found Emily boring as hell and that hasn't changed. I have no idea why she and Shane are together, or if Emily would be more I interesting without him. I assume she is still there because there were just so many firings last year and they figured most people don't really hate Emily, which is true. Most people are bored by her. Still withholding judgement on the newbies, but certainly not impressed by the shirtless husband. Just like with Vickie after Don, I sometimes want to reach into the screen and slap women that can certainly take care of themselves desperately holding on to someone that is either a complete loser (Brooks), or someone they are clearly unhappy with (Shane). News flash ladies, it is perfectly OK to be unattached. I hope the marital issues with Sweet James-which were discussed last night-get interesting, because an entire season of Heather being mean to Shannon, Shannon being even more neurotic and Gina stirring it up is going to be really boring. Did Terry get his own Orange? Because he is showng up waaaaay too often.
  9. Yes, Gina really showed herself again. I actually liked her last year but maybe it was just that with Kelly, Brownwind and what's her name-the one season wonder-Gina looked decent. But, I already dislike her again. And Emily is still a waste of air time. Yes, the other chick was drunk and stupid too, but she was right that they had just net when Emily was blathering about them being friends. When this show started, the women were, at least for the most part, actual friends and neighbors ( Vickie, Laurie, Jeanna). It was the same with the NY housewives. This group just doesn't mesh well. Maybe it will get better but, so far, it sucks. Also, I am in for some pretentious behavior and house porn and I liked Heather, for the most part, the first time around. But, she is looking so bad this year. $36,000 for that stupid party? I, and several other women, just spent hours of preparation and an entire day putting on a boutique/bake sale at the animal shelter where I volunteer. We were thrilled that we raised over $5,000. Not because we sold $5,000 worth of stuff but because our supporters, many former adopters, would hand us $100 for a pack of cookies priced at $3.50 and refuse change. Bless them, they helped us save more lives. If you can afford to toss money away, at least put some of it to a good cause. Not wasted on a bunch of women you really don't care about and that you KNOW are only going to get drunk and stupid. Not liking Heather this year at all.
  10. Ewwww. I tried to watch Winter House for some unexplained reason. The plot included 2 women out of the group wanting Austen. Like, seriously show, do you think anyone bought that? Granted all the men were complete losers, but Austen was so somehow the Prize?
  11. Millennial stereotype😃😃 I love this place. The shows may suck, but the posters are great.
  12. Yep. I think the only one maybe in question is Kathy. I read she wanted more money and wasn't showing up but that may have changed. But Dorit is back.
  13. Her hair extensions on the show were hideous. I don't think so. Word is they are already filming next season with the same Coven, along with Garcelle, Sutton and Chrystal.
  14. If I had to tolerate Meghan again it would only be worth it if they moved her to BH and put her on Erika's case. Now that would be worth watching.
  15. Meghan is exhausting. I never liked her, and yes, it was glaringly obvious that Vickie called that one. Was it even 5 years? Jim was a total jerk, but she was insufferable. I can see her just liking the idea of marrying the President's nephew, but I have to wonder what he was thinking.
  16. And wasn't the house rented? Last season I believe her, Shannon, Kelly and Brownwind were all renting. Nothing wrong with it, but rich people rarely rent their primary residence, unless it is while they are having a home built (Heather, Sutton on BH). It just felt like a bunch of phonies pretending they were rich. Which, we have certainly seen before on the franchise, it just isn't something I watch for. I actually liked Vickie's home the best, and last season, to my utter amazement, I thought Tamra's house was nice and tastefully decorated (she must have hired a decorator). But, I don't want Tamra back. Could tolerate Vicki, because she cam be good TV, but rather she just stay gone. I don't have a read on the new ones yet, but the one husband apparently cannot afford shirts, so that's wierd😀
  17. My feeling is that Erika probably did not know exactly what he was doing. Even if she did, it would likely be impossible to prove. I have never thought there was any chance of her being charged with a crime. But I do believe she will be on the hook for every dime that went into her LLC. What I found interesting, other than the info about his previous marriage and learning he was guilty back then, is that he was deposed in late 2020 and appeared lucid. I hope Erika is perfecting her bedroom skills, because she is going to need someone to give her 21 million or she is going to have to get by on her howives pay. I realize it's a hell of a salary to most of is, but when you spend like she has fir 21 years, it's pocket change.
  18. I didn't dislike Heather before, but she does seem even more pretentious now. Still, I prefer her to Kelly, Brownwind and what's her name from last year. I don't like the looks of her house, it just isn't my style, but I am glad we finally got to see the finished product. I have a feeling Shannon is going to have a tough season since it seems so apparent that Heather is the Queen Bee this year. But, I still can barely get through Salt Lake, and I need my housewife fix so I'm in. At the very least, I think it is going to be very snarkable.
  19. So funny, same here with Elizabeth. Last season was absolutely the worst ever.
  20. Austen is a total bore and total waste on Southern Charm so I cannot imagine why the PTB think he would be any more interesting on this. I actually cannot stand him. I fast forwarded more than I watched the whole series.
  21. I just heard about this. I generally haven't faulted Rinna for her hustle, but this is just beyond. It's not like I thought she was a good person, but wow.
  22. I watched as well, but had to turn it off. She is such a truly despicable person and watching the same women that acted as if Denise had committed a crime sucking up to Erika was just too much. I don't know or care if she knew what Tom was doing. She knows now and she actually believes she is the victim because she cannot continue with that pathetic, laughable vanity project. Bitch, please.

    S01.E08: Origins

I was a bit thrown momentarily by your references to "The Village People". I am old, so many of you may not remember that actually singing group by that name. Every member dressed in costume, so I was picturing this already truly wierd group mingling with the group. As nuts as this show is, I wouldn't even be surprised.
