I was originally going to give a massive eyeroll at the dog/backpack issue (now with Satan!), until I got to the suicide part. Fuck you, Tim. My brother committed suicide, and he was worth more than a whole boatload of "someone like I". You and BME want to whine about haters, but you never stop to think about why. God has not, nor has He ever, directed you to make the hateful attacks and judgments you seem to love. Save your pious "I may make people mad, but I can't disobey God" drivel. You and your kind drive people away from Him. In case I was unclear: Fuck off Tim. Fuck all the way off.

We are currently in the midst of Landon. We got freezing rain and sleet yesterday, so the snow is a nice change. I am grateful to work remotely, and my chihuahua is most displeased with the whole event. Mr. Turquoise was supposed to have his surgery follow-up today, that has been postponed. Everyone stay safe and warm!

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! My day was spent in quarantine due to Mr. Turquoise having surgery on his knee (that was bad enough to require surgery but not nearly as SEVERE as Jill's) on Thursday. He thought ahead and got the fixings for a steak dinner and a cake. It was a nice day, and everyone's well wishes just added to it! The surgery went well-doctor told me when he got in there the tear was worse than the MRI had indicated, but he felt the surgery would make a big improvement. We are already seeing results.

Well, there has been movement on Project Yank the Uterus. I am currently 5 months’ “pregnant”, but growth is not indicative of cancer. Hospital will be in touch to go over financials/set a surgery date. Now may I not have any more Covid delays. Today is my birthday. I needed that gift.

That's me. I'm still waiting for a surgery date. I had my MRI 12/27, and they sent the report to the doctor right away, but not the images. Call. Even though I signed a release specifying they needed to be sent, they "didn't know they were supposed to" send images. They sent them electronically. Doctor can't access them. Call. Where are the hard copies? Not sent, because "no one told them". I told them. They were overnighted, and should have gotten to the doctor Friday. Office was closed yesterday. I had better hear something today... But I think @Ijustwantsomechips has been having issues for quite a while too. It seems to be a common theme with women and hysterectomies. It takes years to get anything done.

I thought about that as well. Mr Turquoise "only" tore his meniscus right before Thanksgiving, and will be having surgery next week. He's mobile, but not taking off on refreshing jaunts these days.

Even worse...she will be 32 on Wednesday. I'm only 6 years younger than my sister. We aren't close. First it was age, now it's the fact that we're polar opposites. I'm very thankful I wasn't forced into her being my only friend, due to the fact that our other sibling is male.

I did not realize how much Josie & Jackson resemble each other until this picture. Maybe it's the way she's wearing her hair back?

@Ohiopirate02, I feel you. Mine was T-shirt material with a polo color. So soft, and felt like wearing a big T-shirt. But I couldn't put it on again after that day.

I had a somewhat-similar summer dress incident years ago. When I said I wasn't pregnant, the lady doubled down and announced I looked several months along. The dress went to the thrift store... Now I have a distinct fibroid-pregnant belly, but no one says anything. Guess they see the graying hair and assume I'm just big. LOL

I know it never would have happened, but part of me can dream about seeing her "It's a great day..." board at Joshy's sentencing: It's a great day for Josh to be going away for X years!

It was in the 60s yesterday, and supposed to be 72 today. Also VERY windy! I have large Christmas balls hung on my front porch, and I had to retrieve a couple that blew down. Happy Holidays to all! My family has celebrated on Christmas Eve my whole life, so the big celebration is done. My son and his family will celebrate with my DIL's family today. So it's a quiet day, and Mr Turquoise and I may stay in pajamas, eat leftovers, and possibly pull up a movie or two.

I'm so sorry for your loss @Scarlett45. Blake was a beautiful kitty, and you could see how much he was loved.

Mr. Turquoise tore his meniscus the Sunday before Thanksgiving. We saw a doctor that same day. No knee brace, he has been using a cane, and we slept in the living room a few nights because all the bedrooms are upstairs. No trips to Florida, no constant updates on SM. And yet he is healing...not as fast as he'd like, but still healing.
