With regard with the ingenious plastic wrap greenhouse, maybe I missed it but how did they go in and out? If they cut a door, the side they cut it in would fall down and the adjacent sides would also fall down. I can't believe that Discovery is presenting this crap as a reality show. Then again wasn't it Discovery that showed the completely faked "mermaid" show as reality and later admitted that it was all fake? These Brownclownz would not survive one week in a real wilderness environment. For that matter they would be in real trouble in a gritty urban environment like the one I grew up in.

The six year old TV killer didn't strike me as cute, I felt he was sort of bratty (and heavily coached) and behaved more like a 4 year old than a 6 year old. Did my ears deceive me or did he really say when JJ pressed him on who threw the dice "some fool I don't know"? I agree that JJ is not up on newer technology, she still thinks of a TV as a CRT with a heavy guard glass layer in front of the actual glass screen. Large flat screens are pretty fragile, and on one of the court shows (PC maybe?) years ago there was a case in which a TV was damaged in spite not having visible marks on the front of the TV but a statement from a repair technician who fixed the TV who identified the cause as a frontal impact that did no visible damage to the front but the impact was transmitted to the actual screen behind it which is a lot more fragile.

What we see on these shows are not necessarily representative of section 8 people or SSI people, what we see are the ones who come on TV court shows and most of them seem to be extremely cognizant of all the ways to game the system so that we support them.

The All Creatures Great and Small had a story about the Vet and his wife trying to get feral cats to accept their help. Like most things in the real world, this was a mixed sweet and bitter story.

I was disgusted. Another entitled section 8 person, a free new refrigerator/freezer every couple of years person (mine is 21 years old and working fine except for an occasional wheezing noise) who wants a landlord (who gave her free rent on Decembers as a Christmas gift) to give her more money. Screw you! Give section 8 to people who understand this a helping hand to let people move up the ladder, not a "give me more money" entitlement.

Does this mean that if the judge is sufficiently pissed off about the perjury, he can rescind the plea deal and send these losers to jail?

I have been flooded by hurricanes, water lines 11" up from the floor. What this plaintiff had was really minor flooding, more seepage than flooding, just some standing water on the floor, not more than 1/4" deep. The sofa she claimed was destroyed would not have been affected by the "flooding" we saw documented, and she showed pictures of the toys damaged which only showed a couple of cheap ass toys. The landlord really should have brought in real professionals to deal with the problem, but the plaintiff was a money grubbing liar and JJ fell for it.

To me that is the real tragedy here. These kids have been stunted in their intellectual and emotional growth by their parents' manipulative and dysfunctional parenting. I don't think any of these kids would be worth a shit even without their screwed up parenting, but they would not be as hopelessly screwed up as they are without bullshitbilly and spotlessami messing up their development.

Oh Lord, I am watching this episode now. Did that moron actually design a boat with mylar sails that will use the solar wind? The solar wind is a real thing but this moron is so ignorant that it is painful to watch (but I still watch, like looking at a train wreck).

I would like to pat myself on the back for my psychic abilities. By the way Gordon, "outside" Washington DC is true, fifty miles outside; for that matter Singapore is outside DC.. How ignorant do you think we are? Silly question.

Now this is a truly depressing concept.

Maybe an elderly, hard of hearing sparrow who has a head cold and has misplaced his spectacles?

You heard correctly, but I find the "44" hard to believe.

Interesting, suddenly a brand new poster shows up to defend the brownklownz. No history, posting on an inappropriate thread to defend them. They have been shown by the show itself to be liars, hustlers, fraudsters, and a lot of other bad things. Anyone else want to guess which of the brownclownz is posting here to defend them? I have had friends who live alternative lifestyles but they don't cheat, despoil their environment, steal and defraud the state, taking benefits away from people who actually qualify for them.

Sadly, next week we will see Ramsey heal the dysfunctional relationships, fix the Inn and everyone will live happily after, at least until the cameras stop rolling. Sorry Gordon, these people don't need business help, they need psychiatric help and Gordon you are not a therapist.

Even if it was the twelve year old, it sounds age inappropriate, especially for someone raised in the bush according to the story line.

Not all the way through. Thanks for the correction.

I have to figure that one of their main expenses is carrying liability insurance for whatever damages the Brownklownz cause. Heck I would let them borrow my car because the odds are good that the show would have to buy me a replacement after these bozos got done with it.

Well, I fortified myself intellectually for watching last night's show with a Bowery Boys movie on TCM. A few thoughts on this episode: When BullshitBilly told us about how they live "an honest way of life", I waited for a lightning bolt to strike him dead; no such luck. Burning up the RV - hey Billy, there is a thing called a temperature gauge (or at least an idiot light) on the RV; too modern a device for you to understand? Also, with all of the drama about fire, I saw nothing but smoke (real or not?) and colored lights shining on and through the "smoke", never any flame. No pigs in Alaska? I beg to differ http://www.huntwildpig.com/state-specifics/alaska/ New Brownklownz hobby - snake molesting. I wish the camera on the beach had turned around so we could see all of the normal people fleeing from these nutcases. Ah, the meat roasting on a spit. I noticed that the meat was not sizzling, there was no smoke when they were showing the (incidentally well roasted) meat turning, and no heat shimmer from the non existent fire just below the image frame. As noted above, the driving time line is completely unbelievable. Another week of complete BS.

I ask myself the same question. I recorded tonight's show and when I got home, I started to watch it. Five minutes in I felt my IQ dropping so fast that it hurt. I may brace myself to watch it this weekend out of morbid fascination. Actually, the reason I watch is so I can enjoy the snark over at http://railingkill.com/category/alaskan-bush-people-episode-recap/

I was pretty disgusted with daughter who can't afford a place to live without scrounging from her mother but keeps popping out babies to increase her benefits paid for by us. Just following Mom's example who can't teach her daughters to either keep their legs crossed or use birth control, it is a career for many of the scum we see on these shows.

Yeah, the sell decision smells funny. I sort of hope that it was a scam on the show and all parties (including the son and daughter-in-law) got a piece of the profit. Worse would be that the parents sold and kept everything and the son and daughter who invested years of their lives trying to run the hotel while constantly being sabotaged by their parents ended up with nothing to show for it.

Perhaps all of the above?

How about crowdfunding to raise money to keep that violent criminal in jail where he belongs?

The first time I cried as an adult was when we had to put down our cat at 17 years of age, who we had since I was about four years old. He was a shelter cat, a big raunchy Tom (who we did get fixed). He was a neighborhood terror, he liked to taunt dogs (this was in the 50s and 60s) and lure them under a car where the dog was too big to maneuver and scratch the crap out of them, sending them running away bleeding and whining and he would walk out from under he car and sit and groom himself with an air of satisfaction. I loved that cat and his final months as his health deteriorated quickly was hard to watch, and putting him down was the only choice, but it really hurt. The other two times I cried as an adult were once when a relationship ended and when my mother died. Our relationships with our pets are strong beyond any reason.
