  1. Double thanks bannana. Watching and writing about this episode was going above and beyond. The Buttbiscuit propping is out of control. It's gotten to nausea inducing levels and I'm only reading about it. I don't know how you preverts still watching do it. (Lots of antacid and pepto?) This is the only part of the episode I enjoyed reading about. The rest was Mal living out his wet dream of the show becoming "The Life and Loves of Billy Abbott". The Chief is my new favorite character. Can he just randomly show up and call out the citizens of GC when they are being their asshole douchiest?
  2. I hope you're right, miamama. I love the "Billy will be loathed by all" part. Couldn't happen to a more deserving ButtBiscuit. But about the Philly twu luv and wedding......blech. (<---This is where a vomiting emoji would have come in handy.) ETA: I learned how to add emojis. I actually thought we couldn't use those on here but I saw Capricasix had them and realized I was wrong. Maybe I was thinking about TWOP?
  3. Thanks for the always awesome bannanacap! Sounds like Show is getting a little more interesting. I really, really hope Jack is not going to be used as a punching bag by that douche-bag ButtBiscuit and asshole Turd over this poisoned face masque debacle. Not that I'm watching but that's something I never need to see (or read) ever again. Haven't those two victimized Jack enough? Is Show actually going to give them another round of attacking Jack over this. The two biggest low-life, scumbag, corrupt, lying, conniving assholes in all of Wisconsin get to ride in on their high horses to go after Jack. Really Show? Please tell me that's not where this is going.
  4. Have to add my thanks for the awesome banannacaps. Show sounds like it's getting a bit better. I like that Nikki is standing her ground and not going back to Prick. And Ravi sounds like a real stand-up guy and could be a great character if they did more with him. Still not enough to get me to watch though. When I read that Buttbiscuit and/or Prick are finally getting what they deserve (lose everything, are vilified by GC for the foreseeable future, drop kicked into a volcano), then I will tune back in.
  5. Thanks, Diane M and TwistedSoul. That's why I was curious. I was wondering if the writers are going to have Ash be John's after all. At least this time they won't be undoing a DNA result and Ash turning out to be John's biological daughter is a realistic possibility. Of course, first we'll have the fall out from Graeme telling GC that Ash isn't an Abbott and all the repercussions from that.
  6. I didn't start watching Y&R until the mid 80's, so can someone who was watching back then fill me in on how Dina was so sure that Ash was Brent's and not John's. Obviously, there was no DNA back then. Was it the blood types (which can in some cases determine paternity)? If John thought Ash was his then Dina must have been sleeping with John while having the affair with Brent. Just curious as to how they can be so sure that Ash is definitely not John's child.
  7. Nicole's older adult children have chosen Scientology over their mother and have said she is no longer their mom. That's on them. I don't think that means Nicole needs to be "vague" about her other two children. She is no doubt proud of them and doesn't feel the need to hide the fact she has two daughters with her second husband. ETA: Or what QuinnM said.
  8. So did I. And I was wondering who that was. I was going to look it up so thanks for clearing that up. After that last scene, I thought to myself, well, StarCrossed is going to have a new member soon. Agent Foster is smart and is already questioning her boss wanting her to let him know where Walsh is before anyone else. I hope we see her in future episodes start to put the pieces together and helping to uncover the truth. The entire episode was great. Loved Glimmer trying to cover with Agent Foster and Walsh's exasperated looks at his clumsy attempts to think up credible excuses on the spot. I am looking forward to seeing Foster's reaction when she finally sees Walsh and hopefully she gets to see (what's left of) Nancy as well.
  9. So glad the show is back. It's going to be hard to have to wait a week to see new episodes since I binge watched the first season. I'm glad they showed what happened last season because even though I saw it a few months back, I had forgotten a couple of things. Happy to see that Nancy is still with us and still as snarky as ever. I loved the part where Don was trying to find his "mother" and his relief when she didn't speak English. Despite their obvious problems, I'm rooting for those two. LOL Nice to see Gerry is enjoying his abduction experience and making a good impression on the newest addition to the alien team, Eric the floating box. And Gerry and Eric seem to have hit it off so let's see what becomes of that. Could it be the beginning of a beautiful bromance? ; ) Was anyone else waiting for the vacuum cleaner to start making clunking noises when it sucked up the finger? I agree, Nasim Pedrad works well on the show and I'm interested to see where her character goes. Overall, a good start to the season.
  10. No, she didn't explain. She asked him a simple question about his opinion on what sort of women does get raped. I don't see that as an explanation. As for that remark not doing anything to solve the crime, this guy was still a suspect, so who is to say his thoughts on what kind of woman get raped aren't relevant. At this point in the investigation, they had no idea what would be important and were still trying to figure out the mindset of the rapist. As for the pleasure it gave her to ask the question, I don't see the problem. Asking it did nothing to hurt the investigation. And I for one was glad she said it.
  11. You're correct. He asked them if they would like to adopt a baby boy in addition to adopting Lily.
  12. I checked for a forum too and wasn't surprised to see that there wasn't one. It's times like this I really miss the message boards at the IMDb. I agree about what happened in episode 5. I was yelling at the TV. I loved Broadchurch but I didn't care for Happy Valley. I checked it out because of James Norton (who was great on Grantchester) but I stopped watching Happy Valley after the first episode. I should have given it a couple more episodes. Everyone always raves about the show so I've been thinking for awhile now that I should give it another chance. As for the accents, I always watch these shows with CC. Even after years of watching shows from the UK, I still find myself having trouble understanding some of the words and phrases they use.
  13. Just finished watching the first episode and it's pretty good. I like this kind of show (I'm also watching The Loch) so thanks for the recommendation. It's strange to see Lorna without make-up and prison clothes. And acting rationally. :)
  14. It did look like he changed his mind and was not going back to Litchfield which was what I thought when watching the episode. However, we see him leaving the bus station but he hasn't actually left it yet. And they don't show him getting on a bus to go somewhere else. They could still have him change his mind again and turn around to catch the bus to Litchfield after all. We really won't know what he decided to do until next season.
  15. That's the way I remember it too. He was trying to decide what to do. It looked to me like he decided not to get on the bus back to Litchfield but it was left ambiguous. I wonder if we'll find out next season or that is the last we see of Bayley.
  16. I'm guessing because the guards are outnumbered a hundred to one and they know it. One of them makes a run for it and he (or she) won't get very far before there are a group of angry inmates dragging them to the ground and probably kicking their ass. Lytchfield is a big place with most of the exits locked or currently guarded by inmates so it's not like they are just a quick sprint away from freedom . Now they could all try at once but this group of guards doesn't seem smart enough to coordinate something like that. Even if they all managed to take off at once the odds are only one or two might find a way out before they were stopped. The odds are not in their favor and I think they figure they are better off waiting until the negotiations are over and they are released.
  17. I think The Jinx would be a good choice. That scene of Durst confessing without knowing he was still being recorded is a scene that is tailor made for this show. A Durst-like character would make Larry seem normal by comparison.
  18. So glad it got renewed! I really enjoyed this show and I think it's great we get another season. Even if John Lithgow isn't a regular next season, I hope he makes at least a couple of appearances.
  19. Great job BBP! Thanks. A couple of my fave parts. Also, Ashley with the grapefruit faces. Haha.
  20. I will miss your recaps bannana and am just grateful you did them for as long as you did. Sending a big THANK YOU!!! for taking the time to write them for us. Good luck on finding a job!
  21. I used to watch the show on mute. It was better that way and nice to look at while I did laundry. When DG showed up on Y&R, I felt dumb that I didn't even recognize him but then it was years later and his hair was short and brown (not long and blonde) and he was wearing clothes and not just a loincloth.
  22. Maybe the locks haven't been changed in the last twenty years (or however long its been) and Dina still has her key. OK, I'm kidding and yet I wouldn't be surprised if that turns out to be the reason.
  23. I'm sorry to see GR go. I always thought he was one of the better actors on the show. One of the main reasons I am sorry to lose the character is because he is not a Newman or an Abbott. Show does not need to lose long time characters that are not related to the Newmans or the Abbotts. Kevin has always been a secondary character and Show needs those to help dilute the incestuous pool that GC has become. I think there is still a lot they could do with Kevin if they were willing to make the effort to write for him. And I agree with those that said that they would much rather see JT go than GR.
  24. I haven't watched B&B in years but I was watching when Scott Clifton first came on the show as Liam and he was a good actor. His initial story of trying to find who his biological father was (Ridge, Thorne or Bill) was well done. And his subsequent story of getting to know the winner of the WTD DNA tests was also pretty good especially since it turned out to be $Bill (Doug Diamont), who was one of the show's more interesting and well acted characters. Unfortunately, after that Liam got caught up in the awful Steffy-Hope merry-go-round of broken engagements and failed weddings. I stopped watching B&B soon after that. So, although I am sorry that PB lost, at least he lost to someone like SC and not Steve Burton which would have been a real travesty.
  25. I finished watching the season yesterday and loved it. Great little show that reminds me of The Good Place only more quirky. Of the main cast, I knew John Lithgow, Sherri Sheppard and Nicholas D'Agosto but all the roles were very well cast and I didn't see a weak link in the group. As other posters have pointed out this is one of those shows that has so much going on with all the background details that it's worth a second viewing. John Lithgow never disappoints but he was just top notch as Larry. By the third episode, I didn't even care if he did it, I wanted to see him get off. I found it hilarious that he was his own worst enemy and kept making himself seem guiltier with everything he did . I really have missed seeing his comedic talent since TRFTS. After having read some of the comments here, I'm glad I've never heard Sherri Shepard on any talk show since I always enjoy her performances. (It's why I can't watch Richard Gere. I saw him once years ago on The Tonight Show and he came across as such a pompous ass I can't get past it.) Really hope this gets another season. I will miss this bunch and I want another season of these strange but endearing citizens and to see their efforts for another client. I had heard about the Michael Peterson case but it has been years and I had long forgotten about it and the details. So I looked it up and decided to watch The Staircase. By the middle of the first episode, it was pretty obvious that Trial and Error was based on this documentary. I just finished the second episode (of eight) and their witness coach even looked like French Stewart! (And I loved seeing FS again with John Lithgow. ) The witness coach in The Staircase even did the same hands on his shoulders and voice exercises that French Stewart did with Larry. It's an interesting documentary but I am really enjoying it because I'm seeing the parts that were parodied on Trial and Error and I find myself laughing again. (Despite the serious subject matter.) Me too. That smile seemed to convey that he was happy to see "his" team together again and with a new client to help like they had done for him. ETA: Lots of great lines posted here and I want to add: Josh: I found three gray hairs. Larry: It's the stress. Wait till you get them downstairs. Then it's a wake-up call. I laughed so hard at that. Also, when Dwayne ran into the (wrong) house and started shooting. The look on Josh's face was great.
