  1. Me too. I really liked the actor and especially loved his scenes with Nina. Would have loved to have seen more of them getting to know each other. Instead we got him losing his mind over Phyllis which was completely out of character for him. He had been an honest and by the book law enforcement officer and suddenly he was throwing that all away for his love of Phyllis. ?? UGH. Such a waste of what could have been a good addition to the cast especially since he wasn't related to any of the Abbotts or Newmans.
  2. Same here. I stopped about halfway through. I just couldn't take it anymore. I understand it's a prison but watching these women being beat on and abused just because they're in a position where they're vulnerable and can be beaten by those in authority is not what I want to see. The first few seasons were a mix of hope and despair with some genuinely happy moments. This episode was just violence against the inmates and showing that there's no one in their corner. Bleak and depressing and dark. No thanks.
  3. Really enjoyed this season and thought this last episode wrapped things up nicely while still leaving plenty of story for next season. That's what I thought. I figured he waited until all the shooting stopped and then went in. There was probably some unknown person(s) who were also watching and followed Fancy in and took him by surprise. Or he could have been ambushed in his car. Either way, I believe Fancy was unaware that he wasn't the only one keeping an eye on the pub. And who knows? Maybe this third group are the ones who somehow facilitated the massacre in the first place and knew what was going to happen that night. I'm sure we'll get answers next season.
  4. This looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. I guess this season is not based on a true story like last time. Kind of liked that about last season(and I discovered The Staircase because of this series.)
  5. I was thinking that dog looks embarrassed to be seen with her. Seriously, who wears heels like that to walk their dogs? It must have been a very short walk.
  6. Great interview. Thanks for posting. I wasn't sure where they were and am glad I know before the first episode. Sounds like season 3 is going to be as much fun as the first two. This show is the one I am most looking forward to seeing return.
  7. So glad I stopped watching this shit show. Are they purposely trying to drive viewers away? Who would actually believe a judge would give a small child to an old man with one foot in the grave. Even without factoring in his background of numerous crimes, giving CAN to Victor is ridiculous. The best interest of the child was obviously to stay with the man he thinks of as his dad, who has given him a loving, stable home. (Nick is a good dad, I'll give him that.) And Nick is also a blood relative. The stupidity if this show has reached never before seen heights. Mal, you are the worst.
  8. I was looking forward to this show coming back. Really hate hearing this news. It was a fun and quirky show and deserved a chance to wrap up its storylines.
  9. Yes, you're correct that the name of the case is the brand name of the pencil. In one of the episodes (don't remember which one) they do say that Black Guardian is the brand name of the pencil that was used to torture the suspect.
  10. I believe IAB officers were brought in because the victim was currently going to trial against the LAPD and accusing LAPD officers of several civil offenses in the Black Guardian case. So it was clear from the start that police officers were going to be suspects and need to be investigated. That's what IAB does. So the two that had already investigaed the officers for Black Guardian were included on the task force. But Bosch was still in charge since it wasn't an IAB investigation but a homicide case that had police officers as possible suspects.
  11. So that was Arturo. Nice. Thanks for the clip spinxella. And MTS is looking great. Love the hair. Much more flattering short. Victoria looked nice too. The mop looked like it had been combed and styled which is a huge improvement from the last time I saw it.
  12. I was thinking that she said something because she didn't know where she lost it or if it would turn up again. If she hadn't mentioned losing it and it turned up near the crime scene, it would look more suspicious than if she never mentioned it. It looks like we were both wrong since it seems she just lost it. At least so far. I haven't seen the last episode so there could still be a twist coming. Or not. ?
  13. I was just thinking after the first two episodes that I guess they weren't going to follow the books and kill off Eleanor. And then they did it. Took me by surprise. Maybe I should have seen it coming with her going undercover with the Asian gambling but I figured as long as the story didn't take her to Hong Kong, it wasn't going to happen.
  14. Me too. I thought that her losing her ID was the giveaway that she was the shooter but I guess it was a red herring. Never occurred to me it was the other one. Really enjoying this season. It started out a little slow but by the third episode I was fighting not to binge the remaining episodes. Been doing one a day to make them last.
  15. Thanks bannana but I'm pretty sure a much more clever prevert came up with Vyle. Awesome recap as usual. And the redemption arc of Buttbiscuit is complete! So all is forgiven and Buttbiscuit ends up losing nothing for cheating with Jack's wife and trying to steal from Jabot by using Dina's password. I think NotBilly has become more teflon proof than Victor. I miss the soaps that had characters actually pay for their bad behavior. It was much more interesting and satisfying to watch than seeing Turds and Buttbiscuits rewarded for all the misery they cause. So JT really is dead. Is Zapato still around? Maybe he'll be the one to dig JT up.
  16. Really, Show? You had to give Jack a son that lives to see how many knives he can sink into his father's back? Wasn't Jack having Buttbiscuit, the worlds worst brother, enough. Apparently not for Mal, so now we have Vyle, who has come back to GC so he can betray and decieve his father too. Why is Jack not allowed to have one family member who is loyal to him? Ugh. Reason #156 why I am no longer watching this ? storm. Thank you for doing the bannacaps. ?
  17. Great recap banana! Thanks for doing such a detailed job. I feel like I actually watched the episode. So who do we think is going to find JT's body? Because there's no way our inept rip-off BLL wannabes are going to be able to dispose of the body without someone stumbling across it. I give it a couple of days before it's uncovered.
  18. Spoiler tagged in case anyone hasn't seen the first season yet.
  19. I wonder if Chelsea's exit will have anything to do with Nick finding out that CAN is Adam's son. If that does happen I might watch just to see Nick finally lose a WTD contest. Would be a first for him.
  20. Thanks 2727. Just finished watching it and it was great. Really enjoyed it. I am sure it will be taken down soon so anyone who wants to see it should not wait (or download for later viewing.) I will definitely be watching this telemovie again since there was a lot going on and I'm sure I will catch some things I missed on a re-watch. And I'm thrilled that the show was picked up by another station after being cancelled. ( I didn't even know it had been cancelled but I'm in the US so I don't know what's going on with the show except for what I read on this site.) This is a wonderful series and I'm glad we're going to get to see more episodes of Doctor Blake.
  21. I think you may be right. Depends on when (and how long) MO takes mat leave. I'm sure Mal wouldn't pass up this scintillating story for Scabby. We have Yanni and the Pimp as our two candidates for baby daddy. So right off, we have a lose-lose situation going in to this one. Then we have a narcissistic airhead as the prize for our WTD winner. Again, a losing situation for all involved (including the baby). I'm sure the audience will be mesmerized by the caterwauling of Abby for the next several months as she goes on, ad nauseam, about her earth shattering dilemma of not knowing which bad choice impregnated her. I feel for you preverts still watching Show......
  22. Yes, you're right, I haven't watched in quite awhile now. I've seen two or three episodes in the last year and after reading your recap, I did watch the one where Nicki got stabbed. My take-aways were that Victoria has become a loathsome cold-hearted bitch and the writing is (still) crap. Oh, and also that Lane continue to be boring AF. Even those two discussing Cane's newly deceased baby mama couldn't bring the drama. Should have been riveting but all I did was think "come on, get back to TOTT". (I normally would FF them but my first show in months, I decided to watch every minute.) I did enjoy watching Dina stab Nicki and her bleating "Help me!". That was the highlight of the episode. And watching MO hide her baby bump was also entertaining. Will miss your recaps but am grateful for whatever we get. Philly. Blech. One of the many reasons to not watch this dreck. I keep reading here with hopes that Show will improve and that I will want to start watching again. Unfortunately, that hope has dimmed more and more every day and I have pretty much accepted the fact that Show will be cancelled without my ever returning as a regular viewer. I know they got a two year renewal but with Mal at the wheel and the ratings sinking fast, CBS may rethink their options regarding cancellation.
  23. Thanks bannana! Your bannanacaps have been outstanding. Show, OTOH, sounds like it is getting worse by the day. This is story telling at break neck speed and to hell with showing any of the consequences and ramifications of all these unfolding storylines. What is the point of setting up all these events if we don't get to see the fallout from them? Does Mal not realize that's what soaps are about? Showing the unfolding drama of how the characters are affected and changed by all these events. Instead, the latest tragedy/event is rushed on through so we can get to the next. Sounds like this show has become all sizzle and no steak. Nothing for the audience to sink its teeth into.
  24. No, Colbalt Stargazer was correct . It was a client. It was in the first episode of season 7, Causa Mortis. This is what Jamie said about the client: Jamie: Neal and I had a client. James Carper. A sex murderer. While the D. A. Is describing the crime to the jury, Carper gets an erection Barnum and Bailey could have pitched a tent on. I threw my coat over his lap so the jury wouldn't notice. Jack: I remember the case. Carper walked. Jamie: Yeah, even though his DNA was all over the crime scene. Neal built his practice on the infallibility of DNA evidence. Then he met Carper's trust fund. New tune, DNA is unreliable. The jury acquits. And three months later, Carper killed again. I believe in monsters and things that go bump in the night, Jack. May they rot in hell along with their attorneys.
  25. Yes, it's Billy. And it's not just his flat ass, it's the whole nostril flaring, perpetually sneering, smug, smarmy, condescending, douchebag package that is Buttbiscuit, that we find so intensely unlikable.
