  1. Well, I really enjoyed the series. I admit I was a little doubtful after the first episode about the comedic tone of the series, but I was wrong and it really worked for this story. I had already seen all the previous Datelines so I knew how nuts the real Pam was but was still glad they showed those clips at the end. Really showed how well Renee Zellweger did in capturing the calculating dangerousness that was Pam. Also, that Pam really was that over the top and a bald face liar. It seems insane that Pam went to those measures to frame Russ but I guess she figured that she successfully framed him the first time so she could easily do it again. My favorite line from Pam was when the cop came into the house with his gun drawn and she looked up from making her sandwich and said, youโ€™re too late for all that. I already took care of it.โ€ I was glad to see that Russ looks like he got his happy ending. And Carol seems like a smart lady, since she figuired out Pam was dangerous pretty quickly. Looking forward to this week's Dateline.
  2. Yes, that's what I thought too. The implication was there, but it was not as clear as it could have been. (Maybe a scene or 2 was cut?) It didn't help that the discussion about the Gout Lady was in the previous episode a week ago and the scene was a quick one. I am really loving this show even though having watched all the previous Datelines, I already know how it ends. The acting by Renee Zellweger and Josh Duhamel has been terrific. I'm enjoying seeing the cops and the DA being exposed by this series as the incompetent and dangerously narcissistic public servants who cared more about their careers than finding out who the real killer was. Such a disservice to Betsy's family, and especially to Russ. Also, want to add that the podcasts, which I didn't discover until after this series started, are very good. Definitely worth listening to if you're enjoying the series.
  3. I would say that the cops are being made to look pretty bad too. From the very first scene, they're made to look like bumbling Keystone cops. If I didn't know this was based on a real life events, I would think this was one of those comedy shows where the cops look like fools for comedic effect. Also, I think that female DA is going to come off looking pretty bad too. I knew the story, having watched it on Dateline, and I'm pretty surprised at the overall tone this show has but I'm going to continue to watch it. The acting by Renee Zellweger was pretty good and it is a very fascinating story.
  4. I agree. This show really missed an opportunity to do smart and funny like they did in the original. Instead of pretending the finale (which I liked) didn't happen what they should have done was have Will be a widower and in the first episode, have Grace show up on his doorstep, having just split up with Leo. Kind of like Felix in the Odd Couple. Tht would have given them plenty to work with instead of this ridiculous storyline of Grace's pregnancy and Will and Grace acting like they're still in their 30s. They could have had Will and Grace suddenly being single and middle aged. Lots of possibilities for funny plotlines, especially since they now have adult children who will be giving their opinions and probably unwanted advice on Will and Grace starting to date again. I really loved the original series, but this whole reboot had been a mess. There has been the occasional good scene but I have turned off episodes after a few minutes several times because it's just too painfully awful to watch.
  5. Here are the first two thoughts that popped into my head after reading Daniel Goddard's goodbye comment. 1. See ya! Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you. ๐Ÿ‘‹ And... 2. I wonder how far in advance Y& R shoots. ๐Ÿคจ ETA: Okay, I think I misunderstood the cow tipper's comment. I probably didn't read it carefully because it's Cane so I just didn't care. That was his last scene. I thought it was his last day of shooting. Sounds like his storyline is ending rather abruptly.
  6. . ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ง So one more soap down. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ง I haven't watched Days in years but I hate to see any more of the remaining soaps been cancelled.and although they haven't actually said that, I think that's what's happened. I was trying to remember when I stopped watching DOOL and I couldn't do it. It's been that long. Feel bad for all the actors who just lost their jobs. And for all the fans who will miss the show. ETA: I can't get rid of those two emojis at the top of my post so I'm just going to leave them there.
  7. I can believe it. DG has to know this could be the last (and without a doubt the best paying job) he's ever going to have. He's looking at a future of dinner theater, if he's lucky. Maybe he can go back to Australia and do Beastmaster: The Geriatric Years. I'm still in the group of preverts that are not watching the show and just keeping up by reading the comments here. It sounds like the show has gotten stale and boring. There is not a single storyline that I'm reading about that makes me even remotely interested in tuning back in. Well, except the Halloween episode. That sounds like it might have been an interesting one.
  8. Thanks for posting those pictures Spinxella. Interesting to see while also confirming my decision that not watching Show is the correct one. I would say that Rey Rey looks like a mannequin but even a mannequin looks more lifelike than he does. That hair is so fake looking and I don't know what kind of makeup they're using on him but they really need to tone it down or change it. Sharon doesn't look bad and she has a great figure. I still wish she would find a new hairstyle. Her dress was one of the better ones but that's not saying much. So that's Theo. Not a bad looking guy I guess if you can get past the fact he seems to be coated in oil. I don't know who those two brunettes were standing next to him in that picture. Summer looks the same as I remember. Petulant and dumb. Abby looks terrible. That hairstyle and makeup were doing her no favors. Couldn't tell about the dress because I could only see the top part. I'm guessing based on all the other dresses it wasn't too flattering. Phyllis, ugh. That one picture of her with that condescending look on her face and "it's all about me" pose says everything you need to know about her character. Another reason I'm glad I'm not watching Show. I couldn't stand her before she left and from what I read here she's gotten even worse. Mariah and Tessa look great together but I thought Tessa's dress was too short. Also, her hairstyle was a little too severe. Mariah looked gorgeous and I think had the best dress of everyone. Devon looks good. (A little thinner?) I guess that was Elena with him. Attractive and had a nice dress. They look good together. Don't know if they have any chemistry but it's nice to see they're giving Devon a storyline. Kind of curious to see how they're going to bring Chance back in to possibly re-litigate Katherine's Will. Chelsea and Nick. Well, I guess they ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
  9. I've watched every season except for the last one. I stopped about three episodes in because I just couldn't take the unrelenting brutality and hopelessness these women were facing. When I started this show, it was a mixture of hope and despair and laughter and tears. I really enjoyed the first several seasons. I decided to read the comments on the first episode because I wasn't sure whether I wanted to watch this last season. I do want to see how these characters end up so I guess I'm going to give it a try.
  10. Just when I'm seriously considering tuning back into Show something like this reminds me why it's not a good idea. Don't really need to subject myself to the jazz hands, double-line stutter barking, over-the-top chewing of scenery, selfish acting style that is Michelle Stafford. Although, I'm sort of curious as to what happens when "sucks the air out of the room" NotBilly is in the same room with "arms windmilling like a whirling dervish" Phyllis. Will that sudden burst of extra oxygen cause ButtBiscuit to fall in love with Phyllis all over again? ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคฎ
  11. We had the same situation with my mom. Her Alzheimer's caused her to become agoraphobic. She didn't want to leave the house so we didn't have to worry about her wandering off. It was one of the main reasons we were able to keep her at home until the end. Also, Kaiser provided excellent home care support. It sounds like Show is getting a little better now that Mal is gone and Josh has taken over. Still, I can't get myself to start watching again. Buttbiscuit is still sucking the air out of every room he enters and is being his usual douche self. Sounds like Nick and Cane are also on the douche train. Jazzhands is coming back. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ Maybe if Jack and Mama Celeste start a romance, I'll tune in for that. I liked ELR when she was on All My Children. ETA: I just read the recap for today's show (thanks, valley!). I'm glad I didn't watch. Seeing Dina go to the Care Facility would have been very difficult. I cried just reading about it. ๐Ÿ˜ข But it sounds like Show is doing a good job with this storyline.
  12. Weren't Michael Damian and Lauralee Bell a couple in real life for a while? Or am I not remembering that correctly?
  13. Thanks, valley. I'm so glad that Jack ended up winning and besting Phyllis. This is the Jack I remember. if this is how Josh is going to write Jack from now on, I approve. If Mal had still been here, not only would Phyllis have won and gotten Fenmores back but Jack would have also had to pay her so she became part owner of Fenmores. I like that Lauren and Jack are going to be working together. And that Phyllis is left out in the cold. ๐Ÿ˜
  14. Yes, I thought she had burned a lot of bridges when she left Y&R. Talking about how toxic it was to work there with all the drama going on behind the scenes . How great it was to work at GH because everyone just came in and did their jobs. I wonder how the cast feels about her coming back. I'm guessing she's not going to get a real warm welcome.
  15. Noooooo! I'm not even watching the show anymore and I hate that she's coming back. I was hoping someday to start watching again if the show started improving. I don't think I can take Jazz-hands again.
