I don’t understand why people are assuming that there’s no fallout to people coming back after five years. How long did people want this movie to be? Ten hours? Why can’t these things be dealt with in future Marvel films?
-
I can unequivocally say that I have zero interest in a movie that focuses on this.

It’s just odd. I actually said aloud, “Those kids look nothing like Derek” when I saw them. LOL. The Grey genes are mighty!

Word. The Jo meltdown wishes it were the April meltdown. I don't understand why Jo is acting the way she is. Instead of feeling sympathy for Jo, I feel anger and annoyance towards her. She is not the who was raped. She is not the one who had to endure a violent and evil attack. She is not the one who had to carry a child she didn't want for 9 months. Jo is making her mother's attack ALL. ABOUT. HER. with no sympathy for the woman who was actually raped! It's truly infuriating. Also, since she's not talking to to anyone, we have no idea what's going on inside her head. It's terrible. Alex deserves better than this and so does the audience. I hope that the HAOG guy is leaving. He is a terrible actor. His final scene where he's yelling at Contacts and then sits for his interview made him look like a sociopath, and it's 100% the acting.

He'll always be Caleb Nichol to me. :)

YES. Once again, we have an “Idiot Plot” where if the characters did what made sense, the story would be over.

I honestly think this movie has become better on rewatch. I enjoyed it when I say it in theatres, but I laugh even harder watching it on HBO.

I don’t want this merger to delay Deadpool 3. I love the series too much for that.

I adore “What If?”!

The "HELL YEAH!" Movie Moments

Well, some people feel differently, and that’s okay. Also, talk to me when you’ve had that happen to you at least 100x (like me). ETA There is nothing insecure about Carol during that entire movie.- 395 replies

I thought this episode was excellent. Perhaps I’m alone in that. This was show I remembered in season one. Something doesn’t have to be surprising for it to be good.

It’s really unfortunate that they haven’t had any main characters be a nurse on this show. That’s the only reason those three were doing the exam; the audience probably wouldn’t have cared if it was some random nurse that we don’t know.

As someone asked in last week's episode thread, does anyone in this hospital actually have work to do??
-
I really appreciated what the episode tried to do. The flashback scenes were terrific. The actor playing Abby was excellent. I did think some of the dialogue was a bit too obvious; subtlety is your friend. I do have one significant nitpick. Teddy, Jo, and Qadri would NOT be doing a rape kit on anyone. There’s this thing called a SANE — Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. Now, not every hospital has one, but GSM is surely big enough to have one if not several. These nurses are trained to perform sexual assault examination. So many TV shows get this wrong, and I don’t understand it. It’s important that the SANE does it because if evidence isn’t collected correctly, it could be inadmissible in court. As someone who’s unfortunately had to be seen by a SANE, this bugged me. Also, Abby would’ve had an advocate as well.

Exactly. It wasn’t a party invitation; actual business was going to be discussed.
-
Well, her child is sick and in the hospital. I think some sympathy is warranted.
-
It wasn't "drinks with the girls from work." The people who run the studio wanted to talk about the future of the studio, which could've had a major impact on Beth's future. She was invited to a business outing. I don't see any reason to belittle Beth's career and aspirations.

Well, that’s condescending and inaccurate. Beth wanted to *teach* not dance. Also, there are plenty of adult women who dance; it’s their career. To dismiss it as some childish endeavor is rude, IMO.

I love The Secret of My Success. I watch it any time I happen to catch it.

Your examples were extreme. No one was asking for that. *within reason* asking to charge a phone? *within reason*
-
Heh. I am most definitely kidding. It took the same amount of effort to show her the restroom as it did to help her charge her phone.
-
Honestly, Beth should’ve never asked for the restroom. It required the host to get up from the table and show her where it is. She should’ve just peed on herself during the dinner as to not inconvenience the host since Beth was the one who was late.

Wait a second. Kids seeing their parent go to night classes as adults doesn’t benefit the child? It doesn’t benefit the child to see that education doesn’t have an expiration date? It doesn’t benefit the child to see their parents achieving higher learning? It doesn’t benefit the child to see their parents continue learning in the hopes of getting a promotion or a higher paying job, which would benefit said child? Please explain how seeing a parent going to night classes wouldn’t benefit a child. Beth and Randall’s kids are not 1, 3, and 5. They’re gonna be alright for a few hours alone. And as someone who was raised by a single mom who most of the time wasn’t available afternoon and some early evenings, I think I turned out okay. And Beth/Randall *have* put their kids first. I don’t understand this sentiment. Beth worked part time for several years when the kids were younger. Also, please note that I said “tailor your dream” in my last sentence, please.

THANK YOU. It’s been Randall’s turn since the pilot.
