  1. This Adam dude can’t be any worse of a bartender than Jax. LOL Even LVP says so!
  2. YAY FI forehead shaving! And flat ironing! Still a jerk for last week. But YAY the return of the manscaping. ETA Brittany, LET JAX GO.
  3. Why do I feel like Kelsey is super shady? I don’t need black tourmaline to feel that way. It could also be the LVP sangria talking
  4. This video has popped up in a number of threads and it always makes me laugh. And throw up. ;)
  5. That “handwritten” font has been trendy for a while—I like it, but think it’ll probably be “out” soon. I wish she’d chosen something a little more timeless, or at least something that wasn’t already trendy. She’s already playing off the iconic BH sign in her design; maybe something closer to the type used on that would’ve been better for the logo and other brand elements, and then she could play with trendier typesets in her marketing, etc. The suits—I love the deep red color she chose, but as for the style, I really only like the LVP suit in black with the white stripes. Other than that, the suits look ill fitting on the models, and if they look ill fitting on MODELS, whose job is to show fit and showcase the clothes at their best... what luck do I (with a more Kyle-like figure) have?
  6. I wonder if, in the original run, they showed a PSA at the end with a phone number for a teen runaway line. I know some 80s shows (especially sitcoms) used to do that after Very Special Episodes like that one.
  7. LOL I thought @SarahPrtr was asking if there was an actual movie version of PTV. Like: “PTV: The Movie.” I’m tired. @OnceSane‘s response makes more sense.
  8. I confess that there have been so many times I’ve wanted to start a sentence here with “Um” or “Uhhhh...—directed at characters, not board folks—and I stop myself. Otherwise I’d be um-ing and uhhh-ing on the VPR board all the time... especially Scheana and Stassi. Sandoval would’ve gotten quite a few Uhhhhhhs from me this week, as would Brittany (for throwing Jax a party AND a trip). And holy cow, Joel has a new show?!?! There have been so many times I think about how they’d mock this show on The Dearly Departed Soup (or even People’s Couch) and now I can get my fix???
  9. Sounds as interesting as, and as much of a bestseller as, Don Caro’s book.
  10. Old news at this point but I also laughed at one of the screencapped messages that read, “As a man whose theology is rooted in the hermeneutics of John Calvin, you are familiar with the Seven Deadly Sins...” Well, first off, those aren’t Calvinism; they’re from third-century monks... Secondly, I think Thomas is more familiar with the seven deadly sins experientially rather than theologically... Thirdly, Calvin is probably rolling in his grave over any sort of connection to Thomas. He looks both constipated and over-airbrushed.
  11. Not exactly the same, but I’ve used VPR characters’ names so often, they just started showing up in my autocorrect...
  12. The tl;dr version is that Erika tweeted Teddi’s blog with the comment “Pure comedy.” Many, many people—even, and especially, fans—called her out and said things like she had a “totally unnecessary reaction,” called her a “bully,” “mean girl,” saying Teddi was right, cancelling preorders, etc. My favorite was a tweet by a guy named chadjenson—“You have a million amazing looks. This isn’t one of them.” Even in their critiques, they were kinder than Erika and it was probably the most civil pile-on in Twitter history. At least from what I saw. Someone with better embedding skillz can share actual tweets :) ETA I was right. Thanks @WireWrap :)
  13. 1. Daaaaaaaannnnnng ;) 2. LOL It’s interesting, because both have businesses that are legit and stand on their own without RHOBH—*and* they have other TV outlets on which to feature their wares (QVC and VPR, respectively). NB It’s amazing and I never would have guessed that this season, I could go so many posts without reading about Rinna!
  14. What on earth would this guy’s “League” be? The Bad News Bears? I don’t get it. Say what you will about Stassi, but she is really pretty and she’s been a “star” on this show since it started. Jeremy got a busboy job at SUR basically because of his sister and is on the show for the same reason. And I saw a ton of guys who looked just like him while I was in college, skipping class and playing hacky sack, years ago, so he’s not especially remarkable looks wise. So maybe she’s literally not in his hacky sack league? I dunno.
  15. I can totally get that, but Erika took it a step further and mocked her for being a crybaby. It’s one thing to say “Your tears don’t sway me” and another to be like “you’re so weak, you crybaby.” One is strong and the other is making the other person feel worse so that you look stronger. I had hoped that was “British humour” but maybe not.
  16. She attacks mellow, sensitive people who are likely to cry and then mocks them for showing their feelings. Nope, no issues there.
  17. I think the crying was actually provoked by anger and frustration as well as hurt. Erika and Dorit both have a way of posturing that probably gets under Teddi’s skin—and they can both be very snide. And neither really ever is “accountable” in a way that Teddi finds acceptable. Erika’s meanspiritedness comes out of nowhere and is prompted at random moments. She also can’t take criticism at all. In contrast Tamra and Kelly can be rude and crude... but they don’t put on airs and they’re pretty upfront about stuff. Like Rinna, in a way. (Rinna doesn’t screech, but she does say whatever is on her mind.) I see Teddi getting along with them (and I think Teddi and Tamra actually do get along and like each other), OR just arguing and not crying. I think the one she’d really have problems with is Vicki, who is dodgy and never owns anything, and Lydia*, with her smug superiority and sparkle princess schtick. I just think she’d do better in the RHOC dynamics. Plus, they cry more on that show. ;)
  18. Good! And most of them are FAR nicer than Erika was, and also nicer than 57% of Twitter users. Erika, take your tag line back. It IS ice, not diamonds.
  19. Funny you should say that. I was thinking that she treats her the way she treats Brittany—like, what are you doing with these crazies? (Or at least, Jax.) ETA LOL that we call them “kids.” (I do it too.) Jax is pushing 40!
  20. Who knows. This is a woman who had a DEFCON 1 meltdown over a perceived slight stated by one of her biggest sycophants.
  21. I get the sense that LVP does genuinely like Teddi, and that she probably realizes Teddi is out of her depth with this group. I think the Teddi Bear nickname is intentional—as in, this woman is a teddy bear and not a real threat. To anyone. Except maybe Erika, a bear who shall not be poked except you don’t know when you poke it.
  22. This dinner (?) conversation has confirmed three things: 1. Dorit is ridiculous 2. Erika is ridiculous 3. Teddi should be on RHOC, where the fights are louder and the ladies are more prone to tell/yell it like it is rather than do the “subtle” side remark thing
  23. So grateful for the publishing lesson from Erika. A book cover must be eye catching! Why not pink marabou?
  24. Stassi’s been a jerk at times, no doubt about it. However, Sandoval has been OTT in his defense of Jeremy seemingly *because* it’s Stassi (whom he loathes) and Kristen (his ex, and we know how he feels about her). He didn’t see Jeremy’s behavior, but he’s probably heard the stories about his record from Ariana. And yet he chooses to blow up at Stassi's choice of words while ignoring the serious underlying issue. If I were about to date a creeper, I’d appreciate a heads up from friends.
