  1. I guess YMMV is true. I thought it was a beautiful story, I could suspend my disbelief a little about Armie Hammer's real age. I think the age difference was fine for these two characters, there was no power imbalance between them and Elio parents were comfortable. I love a good love story, this and The Big Sick were probably my two favourite movies last year. I know it's a longshot but I really want Timothee Chalamet to win the best actor award.
  2. That opening scene is terrifying. Liam is scary and Veronica has an appropriate reaction. I was glad that she seemed to quickly realize she was in over her head and was trying to extract herself. Don't blame her for being super pissed at Logan. Great he was able to get her out of there but not good judgement on his part either. KB and JD have unreal chemistry tough. They are both the type of actors that have it with everyone and it's a lot with each other. Bradford Anderson who plays Ryan is really good. He was on General Hospital for years (maybe still is??) and he's was always better then than the writing. Veronica has no friends so it really doesn't surprise she doesn't have any LBGT friends LOL. There's also some stuff that will come up at the end of the season that makes me think it is for the best, they make some weird writing choices IMO. I'll wait for the final episodes to get into my opinions on that. Van Clemmons is the best. I'm surprised Veronica didn't know where he lived. Duncan's dreams are so weird. It seems that him and Meg had a much more sexual relationship than him and Veronica so I'm not really sure what it was supposed to mean. Why does he see Veronica as the whore?
  3. Claudette had a poor attitude and I not really sorry to see her go but Mustache Joe had three bad dishes. I still think that Mustache Joe or Fatima should have gone first. Feels like they were tired of her and wanted her off the show.
  4. I don't think Duncan is really shady either. He's just not a POV character. We don't ever really follow him outside of Veronica anymore. He's just dull and really doesn't have much going on. I don't find it weird that Logan and Duncan would be living together. I think they are both a little lonely. I loved Cliff in this episode. He's the greatest.
  5. I loved this movie so much. Glad it lived up to the hype. Timothee Chalamet was amazing, hope he gets nominated for all the awards. I think that they likely had a chemistry and attraction that they were both aware. They were both verbalizing something that they knew was brewing between them. Yes I thought he was expressing regret about not exploring his relationship with another man. I also thought that both parents knew what was going on prior to the away trip. There seemed to be a lot of knowing looks. I think they suggested so they could be together, they're European and it was the 80;s, LOL.
  6. Good photos, Deputy Sacks isn't new though. He was in several episodes in Season 1. Dick at the shooting range cracks me up.
  7. It's so different to watch Jackie now. I love Tessa Thompson. I remember originally hating her. I have to admit now if I was trying to order coffee and the barista was behind the counter having a conversation with her boyfriend how annoying that would be. Jackie's not wrong LOL. I love Logan getting his groove on with Kendall, those scene made me laugh. You are right, he's definitely the product of two actors. He's enjoys the messy situations. JD and KB have nutso chemistry though. The scene at the hotel in the hallway was hotter than the sex scenes with their partners. Even though I've watched this season before I don't remember all the specific of the mystery. I'm totally blank on how the motorcycle gang and the overall mystery tie together. Can't wait to get into it more.
  8. I think with Jason Dohring it was just the right combination of the character, writing and his chemistry with KB. I've seen him in other things and I think he is just ok but I do think the role of Logan is perfect for him. I think that happens to a lot of actors. Teddy Dunn to me is bad but he's also written terribly, he left the profession after this role because he realized he wasn't good, didn't enjoy it. I feel a little bad for him.
  9. I'm really looking forward to season two. The overall mystery may not be as interesting but in a lot of ways I like season 2 more then season 1. I like the episodes better, I think Wallace is better, more Mac. I think a lot of other characters get better stories. I watched the first episode and I will have to stop myself from staying in binging the whole thing over the weekend. I also think the production looks so much better, they obviously have a bit more money to work with. Everyone looks just a bit better. Still can't get over her getting back with Duncan, yuck. He's the worst. I get breaking up with Logan but Duncan is not the nice guys they always tried to make him. He sucks. I do like salty Meg though, hee hee.
  10. I like Chrissy's game too. I'm not sure if I think she can win but she's a different character. She reminds me a little of Kathy Vavrick-O'Brien. She's not quite as likeable but they edit the game so differently now that it's hard to tell. Both her and Lauren are characters that we haven't really seen much of and I'm enjoying it. I have no problem with all the younger women going first. Jessica wasted her game on Cole and all Desi had to do was vote for Joe and she would have stayed. None of that is Chrissy's fault.
  11. This was a good show. Chance was so great. He has such positive energy, I thought he did great. I agree the Steve Harvey was a riot. Leslie's face had me cracking up. Chance's impression was really good. I assume Eminem only preformed one song because it was longer then normal. It was probably almost the same amount of time. I love Skylar Grey's voice, she so talented, she wrote Walk on Water and Love the way you Lie. Eminem sings along with the chorus parts, LOL. I agree this was the best show of the season.
  12. I like Rob a lot I just rarely agree on his opinion. I hardly like any of the same characters that he likes. I think his show has been struggling a bit because last season of BB was not great and this season of Survivor has been slow on the strategy to date. I do agree on Brent, Melissa, and Taren. I love them. They are not in the position that they have to book guests for the show or interview the contestants though. They are very free to say pretty much whatever they want about anyone. I gives them a much freer and open and honest conversation. They are just talking to each other for the most part and it feels way more like the way I would talk about Survivor. He's very lucky to have them. I think as his show becomes bigger and he knows most of the Survivors are listening or at the very least anything he says will get back to them it forces him to be a little less free with his opinions. I think that goes for most of the past players. Except Tyson, he doesn't give AF. LOL.
  13. Miley Cyrus doesn't really have vocal fry, her voice has a natural deepness. Vocal fry is more words breaking up in your throat sounding. Kourtney Kardashian is the worst of the Kardashians. Men don't get called on it as often but they do it too. Hugh Laurie when he does his American accent has terrible vocal fry. Cirie was on the Live KIA this week. I love her so much. I'm not sure she can ever win but I'm up for her playing whenever she wants.
  14. I know the narrator was Peter Dinklage, he sounded so much like Phil Hartman to me. I thought this was kinda cute. It was just silly, I didn't mind it.
  15. I think she knew, they both likely knew, I also don't believe that they never knew anything about Weinstein. I'm a nobody from nowhere and I had always heard rumours. I just don't believe they were completely oblivious. Their 'we just don't travel I these circles' didn't ring true either. Does Jian Ghomeshi know that? He kept his job for a long time at the CBC even though there were several people who came forward. He was the talent and they catered to him for years. "when you're a star they let you do it..."
  16. I remember back during the 08 election Pat B and Rachel M being the most unlikely of pairings. They were always great together. I strangely never minded him either but I don't think I would want him around today, his ideas at the time seemed so far in the past and turns out he was right about a big chunk of people. Scary. I noticed on Friday that Donnie D started in on some rant about "Real Men", Joe quickly shut that down with "men and women". I feel like Donnie D is going to be one of the next that woman will start to come forward about. Wouldn't surprise me at all.
  17. The part at the end with Sandra walking towards the bus stop with the creepy guy made me laugh out loud. I love her.
  18. I think this was my favourite episode. People were being likeable and very little Klingon. I was almost out after last week but I'm still hanging on. Stamets and the doctor are cute. I'm interested in Rainn Wilson's character. Finally I'm finding something to enjoy.
  19. Yes I think it's been renewed for a 2nd season. I can't imagine where the BTK stuff is going since he's not caught until 2005. Maybe it just ends up being a "one that got away" story. I think Holden was just having a panic attack. That stuff in the last couple of minutes with Ed was seriously creepy, I too would have lost my shit. I hated the Anna Torv character, her and her questionnaire was so annoying. What was the symbolism with the stray cat supposed to be? That went over my head. Holt McCallany's Bill was the best part to me. He seemed the most real. Were we supposed to feel sorry for the tickling principal? It's weird to me that that would fly even on the 70s. Evan with the benefit of the doubt that he's not a pedophile, if people are telling you to keep your hands off their kids keep your hands off their kids. I think we were supposed to see this as a grey area and I really didn't. Lastly, Mothers do not make out well in this series.
  20. I think I liked the crime of the week a lot more than you guys. I would have given it a B. I really liked Norris and having Mac back was a bonus. JTT also didn't bother me. I really liked this episode except for the Wallace/ Wallace's mom stuff. Veronica is such a shitty friend to him, I also don't think Wallace would keep Veronica's secret over protecting his Mom. It doesn't ring true to me. Thanks so much for getting a Logan/Veronica fan for this episode. They are also one of my favourite couples although I totally get that the internet sometimes kills nice things, I also get that they were toxic and not everyone's cup of tea. I think I stopped going to the Twop boards about half way through season 2. I have learned to sometimes step away for the sake of my own enjoyment. Rob Thomas has spoken about this kiss a few times that the combination of the camera and music was not what he intended. It played way more romantic and they didn't have the budget or time to fix. I've also always just assumed that KB was doing both voices.
  21. I have been looking forward to this and the first episode was really good. It's a little weird seeing Jonathan Groff in a serious role but so far so good. I'm not sure if I'll binge watch this but I'm definitely in.
  22. How can you be a PI with no computer? There was no computer on the desk.
  23. The Klingons are so bad. They look like The Master from Buffy. Why do they have no hair? I'm really puzzled by we keep getting such long scenes with them. How do they ever accomplish anything as a race when they speak so slowly? I just don't understand this whole storyline.
  24. I don't know, but I think the oldest daughter and boyfriend Chale work. I don't think the other kids bring much either. I think they just wanted to get rid of the wife. Doesn't bother me. Do I think this is a great show? No. But I do like KJ and LR enough and I get a couple laughs. I will probably watch more now then before.
  25. I feel like such a bad person. I don't care that they just killed off the mom. Maybe it's my years of soap opera days where they recast all the time or they would bring back old love interests, it doesn't really bother me. Last night's episode was crazy and all over the place but I think KJ and LR have awesome chemistry and comedic timing together. The writing could be better but I think they do a lot with what they have.
