He's always believed that his mother loves Jamal more, and its not above Luscious to use this to lure him away from his mother. I hope this doesn't cause any problem between them. I love their songs too. this episode is okay. It occurred to me this episode that the writers never focus on Hakeem and Cookie producing his songs. they just show him rap some songs, but we hardly ever get to see him and his mother working on it and I'm starting to think its deliberate. every episode now, Jamal gets to sing at least 3 songs and we see him working on it, we also see Freda being produced by Luscious, why not show us cookie and Hakeem too. it will help us get to see them as good at what they do. seems like cookie is only shown to be a good producer when she is producing Jamal, like they have to show Jamal as the greatest artist on the show, so we don't get to see others work on their songs. As much as I love Hakeem's girl group, I miss seeing him perform with Tiana, she is a regular now, so they should use her. I will hate it if they make Hakeem loose to Freda, she is a good rapper, but I can't buy her as a better rapper, artist and performer than Hakeem, who have better stage presence.

I am seriously loving Hakeem and Laura, they are so cute. This surprises me, because I love Hakeem with Tiana. I thought the kidnapping will last longer, but I still love the episode. Money in the bank is going to be stuck in my head, I love the song, Yazz and the girl playing Laura are so talented and have great chemistry, don't mess it up writers. I'm sorry, I'm not just feeling, Jussie's songs this season, and his story lines are so boring. Get him back together with Hakeem and Andre, I enjoy it when they have scenes together.

The actor has a beautiful voice, but he is not a great singer, just an average one, but i love his voice. Most songs he did this season were not great, the only one i liked was the ones he did with Hakeem in the first and fourth episode. he's not a great performer, the stage performer is Yazz/Hakeem. I prefer when they sing together, its a shame they are not as close as they were last season, I miss Jamal and Hakeem's friendship.

I just don't get where all this 'Michaela is desperate', is coming from. there is nothing desperate about her. she is just an uptight girl that came out of a bad relationship and just wants to enjoy herself for once. she was not interested in Levi at first till Connor pushed her, it was just about sex to her. but from the beginning she was shown to have a connection with Caled, so i think its going to be deeper with him and not just about needing a man. i love Michaela a lot this season. i use to love Wes but he is getting on my nerves, but I'm still open to liking the character again, since i love the actor. please, caled can stay, the actor is so handsome, he's my weekly eye candy. I love Connor and Oliver as characters, but I somehow don,t care much about, Connor and Oliver as a couple, so I won't be overtly crushed if Oliver's death will be used to further the plot. I just love Asher and will be unhappy if they turn him into a rapist. I love Laurel too, that is surprising to me, I did not like her last season. Annalise is still my favourite. I'm indifferent to Frank and Bonnie.

Hakeem has always been my favourite. He acts so immature sometimes, but i find him entertaining, and i love that he gives zero fuck. Its ironic he is the immature one, but also the most stubborn and independent, he listens to noone, not cookie, his dad or brothers. I need him to grow up though, hope the new girl will help him do that, they look like they will have great chemistry. I love loucious' lawyer, please can he stay?

Hakeem has always been my favourite, from the first episode i knew he would come to accept his mom. I love their dynamic now. Andre is my 2nd favourite, the actor can act circles around the actors playing hakeem and jamal. Thats why i'm not happy the writers dosen't write more for him. I love this season, but hate that the writers are writing lucious as this unbeatable guy, thereby taking away from cookie's awesomeness, i hope they remedy that. I've always had a problem with the way they write jamal sometimes. I think it was a mistake bringing michael back, he dose nothing for jamal. I love ryan, atleast he brought something to the table and fit in well at empire. I miss jamal and hakeem together. I want tiana and hakeem back together and cookie in charge again.

Whether a woman is the LI or not, people are way less sympathetic to her than her male counterpart, take Arrow, (I only watched it a while for Diggle and Malcolm I stopped because I couldn't stand Oliver and the Felicity worship), Oliver is like the worst, but I hardly see any hate for him, all the hate were shifted to Laurel, (who I am indifferent to, I heard she's better now). Funny enough recently I saw people complaining about Felicity being annoying, I guess since she no longer worships the "Hero", she is as bad as Laurel. I just think that in shows like this, some part of the fandom only care about a female character if she pines after the guy. if they guy is the one pinning, they start asking why the LI "deserves" the heroes love. except for this forum, I hardly come across anyone asking why the guy deserves the love of the LI.

Is the writing at fault sometimes? yes, but the amount of hate this character gets goes far beyond that, if her lack of pov was the driving force, most who hate the character would just not care about the character, but some care enough to want her dead. Eddie gets less pov than her but you dont see anyone wishing he gets killed or written out. From what I've seen, sexism is the driving force behind the hate, ship preference is also a factor and in few cases, racism. its like some can't empathize with her. I'm not saying the character must be loved by everyone, I'm just saying the character have not done anything to deserve the level of hate she gets.

some of the complaints I see about Iris are just ridiculous, anybody who hates her after last episode is just determined to hate her. the writers should just focus on telling the story they want to tell and not think about people who want Iris to be written out, killed, or the character transfered to another actress. some people even blame her for some of Barry's questionable actions, like seriously? its like they are stuck on repeat; she's annoying. she's a bitch, she is selfish, she is annoying. its funny sometimes. the one that really takes the cake is a board I came across where someone wrote that if they really need Bart Allen, (Iris and Barry's grandson) to show up, that she can die at child birth so that Barry and a new love interest can take over and raise the baby and Bart Allen still gets to show up, like women are so easily discard-able. About Amanda, thats just a feeling I get. I might be wrong. maybe I am just biased and love Tom too much as Wells.

I want eddie to go down the villain path because it will make the character more interesting than being a typical good guy the writers have no intention of exploring. In the first episode, Iris said he keeps a scorecard, later he spoke to Barry about kids being mean to him in school, two episodes ago he assumed that the whole revers flash thing was about him that wells laughed at him and last episode he was really hurt when wells called his career uneventful and told him he didn't get the girl.Along with having mentioned to Barry that his relationship with Iris intimidates him. I believe they've been setting him up to be the villain and have been planting the seeds. he's last name is Thorne, and they have to show us how the centuries old rival started between the Thornes and the Allens. I think when he eventually go down this part, most of it will not be about loosing Iris, but about proving how relevant he is and how much he envies Barry. I think that will be interesting to watch.

I think the writers need to work on all the relationships in the show. I might be in the minority here, but I don't want Amanda to replace Wells at star labs. I feel her character will not fit in much with the team, she lacks the chemistry with the team Wells had. My wish is that somehow we can get real Wells back even if we keep Well/Eobard. Tom is too precious an actor to lose.

I dont think they are forced too, In my opinion those two actors sold their connection flawlessly from episode one. Its hard to full off best friends on screen when the audience didnt see the origin of the friendship, but Grant and Candice were able to do it in their first sceen together. whether people wanted to see them as a couple or not, in the first 9 episodes I saw a lot of people buy them as friends until the writers started messing up by not giving Iris a pov. but I am optimistic they want to rectify that now. I do agree that the relationship between Iris and Barry needs repairing and the both of them need more growing up to do, but thats what life is all about, we fight , grow apart and come back together better than before. I hope season 2 will be about them repairing their friendship and 3 about them getting together romantically, come on writers dont waste the beautiful chemistry between these two.

I think there is a reason the show is going hard with this, I think I came across a quote by one of the actors or producers, who said that they dont want to waste too much time on getting the couple together so the story can move on to other things, maybe they will do that as early as season 2 or 3. If they do that, then I'll applaud them because they would have broken a lot of tropes about comic related tv shows. they let the love interest find out in season 1, the love interest is not a damsel in distress, she is tough and helps save herself every time, she joins the team in the first season, so if they add this by not wasting time to get Barry and iris together and focus on other stories it will be great imho.

Oh I forgot my favorite part of the episode, Joe being damseled again. he is really the dude in distress of this show. its ironic that he is the one always gong on about protecting Iris, but he is the one who kept being put in danger. I laughed out loud when he offered Groodd Banana. I noticed that Iris was reading through Henry Allen's case on the computer when Joe came to visited her. Is Iris going to be able to help free him or were the writers just showing us random stuff? I hope its the former.

beautiful episode, i.m so glad they gave us 2 good iris episodes in a row. seriously Candice Patton did a good job in this episode. I really felt her disappointment in her dad and Barry. she handled the situation so maturely, really she comes across more matured than Barry and the star labs team.i have always loved Iris and Barry, but there is something about their scenes in tis episode especially the final scene between them that made their relationship seem more grown up. maybe it was the two of them being more truthful with each other or the confidence Barry expressed there. their Chemistry is off the chart. I dont just get what is selfish or annoying about Iris this episode. I dont think anybody would just shrug off that their lifetime best friend and parent kept a secret like this from them, especially when it puts them in danger. it gets worse, they also lied about her co-worker's death and covered up the truth, and finally the said best friend also flirted with her in disguise knowing fully well that she is with someone and even stalled her career by telling her the things she believed to be true were false, things like this can make a person doubt his/herself. i don't know what would satisfy some people, do they expect her to fall on the floor and kiss Barry's feet because he's the flash? Iris deserves to be very angry with them. still, I love that it was not dragged out so much, but i hope it makes her less trusting with people, it can really help her career. I love Caitlyn and Iris' budding friendship, writers please dont ruin it with drama.

very beautiful episode. the show lost its way a little after episode 9. I'm glad its back to being fun. yes for Iris figuring things out. I love that character so much and was mad at Joe and Barry for treating her like a child. Eddie is so adorable, but please no Iris Thawne. Harrison wells is my favorite character, please writers find a way to keep him beyond this season. I am embarrassed at how much I crush on Tom, he is so sexy.

Team flash is okay, it would be better without caitlin, her actress is horrible. Cisco, barry and wells are great. If they add firestorm and iris to bring intel the team would be outstanding.

I love that Iris is human and makes mistakes. People protested that she was mary sue, damsel in distress,(joe is the damsel in distress of the flash), useless character, now she is a bitch and detestable for having conflicting feelings? How she felt was realistic in my opinion. I would love for her to make it to the wells timeline by season's end and come back to this timeline few years later with a lot of things changed. I would love to see that.
