  1. Thanks! So he's going to the local community college which about 10 minutes from his house. Brookdale is a good school (it has a good communiversity program for students looking to lower their cost of college). I don't have anything against it but it's not where kids go when their parents have 'money'. There's usually other reasons..... It's known in the area as UCLA among high shool students: University Closest to the Lincroft Acme.
  2. This season is sooooo boring. Amber brings nothing. The twins, almost nothing. The only thing of interest to me was trying to figure out where that dessert restaurant was in Red Bank (at least, that's where Nicole said she was going to be). Anybody know? I guess Emporio Motors is getting a lot of airtime because they're probably providing the cars to the Gorgas' for free. And they're probably used. http://www.emporiomotorgroup.com/ They also probably have a body shop or associated with one that does custom work and that's why Joey had the meeting to paint the truck. Plus they get airtime for comping the cars. I love cannollis and have no problem with Kathy bringing them with her wherever she goes. I'm sure she's told to this by production or asked by the hosts. Kathy has become Switzerland and isn't going to cross any boundries. Enough with the Giudice pity party. I loved in the extremely boring scene at Dina's that Tre cut out the word 'freedom'. Yeah, well good luck with that Tre. And please stop filming these scenes with Gia. I would think the number of students at Colts Neck High who aren't planning to go to college that live in Colts Neck (it's a regional school) is very low. Just like the two Manzos' in their high school. Maybe it's a restaurant business thing. I don't get it. The people in Colts Neck must be shaking their heads seeing these three families. They're not the norm or at least the people I know and have seen. Bravo made another big mistake with cast shakeups. Too many changes at one time doesn't work well. The show was about the family interactions between the Manzos, etc. and the Guidices', etc. and they basically shut it down instead of eazing into a new dynamic. And Dina doesn't work (well, I never liked her anyway) in this new dynamic because she's not interacting with Caroline, Jac, etc. and is totally out of place.Maybe if these new families had something more to offer (like entertaining personalities or interesting lives), it may have worked. It's turned into a yawn fest, except for when I'm trying to figure out where they are in the outside locations.
  3. Playing marry, shag, kill with a group of couples choosing each other is just a recipe for hurt and anger. The age of the participants is irrelevant. It was a stupid idea.
  4. Given her professional background plus the information that Carole has given us via the scene on the show with her editor, I have no reason to believe that Carole had a ghostwriter for either of her books. People can say the books are bad, as she stated in her blog, but she did write them. I think it would be extremely hard when another person makes false claims about something you put your heart and soul into, to ignore it and not fall to their level at times. Aviva has becomed obsessed with Carole. Her focus is on Carole and to destroy her integrity in any way she can. At first it was the 'ghostwriter' claim. Now she is adding that Carole had no right to write her first book because the 'Kennedy' aspect of the story was not her's to tell. This is a woman who can't give it up. She 'has' to win. It's sad and it's scary. I think when your integrity is attacked as Carole's was, your instinct is to refute and to attack back. But I think Carole will realize (and this is hard) that she is dealing with someone who has serious 'issues'. I thought it was very interesting that when they discussed the leg throwing at the reunion, everyone was laughing including Aviva. I don't think Aviva realized they weren't laughing with her. They were laughing at her. As Carole said as she handed her back her leg, "You need help."
  5. I take everything I read on these online tabloids with a grain of salt. Yeah, Kasey seems to be off balanced but if this article is true, Ramona has some problems going on too. So much for a perfect life with the perfect husband (which I believe it always was far from from perfect for a long time).
  6. Note to Aviva, who is of jewish descent, on her condescending attitude of people who live in the 'ghetto': The term "ghetto" originated from the name of the Jewish quarter in Venice, established in 1516, in which the Venetian authorities compelled the city's Jews to live. Various officials, ranging from local municipal authorities to the Austrian Emperor Charles V, ordered the creation of ghettos for Jews in Frankfurt, Rome, Prague, and other cities in the 16th and 17th centuries. During World War II, ghettos were city districts (often enclosed) in which the Germans concentrated the municipal and sometimes regional Jewish population and forced them to live under miserable conditions. Ghettos isolated Jews by separating Jewish communities from the non-Jewish population and from other Jewish communities. The Germans established at least 1,000 ghettos in German-occupied and annexed Poland and the Soviet Union alone.
  7. Aviva's rules when trying to get your point across: It's not ok to say MF. You must be from the ghetto or just got out of prison. It's perfectly ok to put your prosthetic leg on the table in a restaurant and then toss it in the middle of the room.
  8. Maybe Bravo knew that part three wasn't all that exciting and moved it up so that they can pick up viewers for Below Deck which I really enjoyed last season and am liking so far this season. I agree that Andy is losing touch. He thought the episode with George was hilarious. Boy was he wrong. I did think the MF segment was kind of funny.
  9. It's like she's obsessed with Carole. It's on the verge of being scary. You'd of thought that maybe Reid (who maybe the only person who can reason with her) would be able to reason with her that she has gone over the edge with this and her other behavior (throwing your 'leg'???). Or then again, maybe he's as whacko as she is. To me, she's gone from being vile to pathetic. As Carole said, she needs help.....serious help.
  10. I agree with you on Lu, Ramona and Sonja. I don't trust them (Bravo) on what they'll do with Aviva (I hope she's gone for good). If Aviva is gone, I think Carole and Heather will be back. Like you, I'm meh on Kristen. Yeah, even though she did film with the other couch, she just doesn't add anything to the show. Jill would love to come back but that would be a huge compromise by Andy and an opportunity for Jill to shove it in his face that "I told you so. You need me on the show." I don't know if he would ever do this. I don't think Beth would ever come back. I realize she may have tons of money but she wants celebrity but I don't think she's at the point where she'd 'reduce' herself (in her mind) to coming back.
  11. Lizzie's Chaka Khan TH was the funniest moment of the episode.
  12. I was waiting too. I think the veterans - Heather and Vicki - are afraid of Tamra. They've seen first hand what Tamra is capable of.
  13. I remember last season differently. What is the significance of Jonathan backing up his title with numbers? There's been no claims by Heather or Jonathan of how much Jonathan makes.
  14. I've alwasys wondered over the years how 'perfect' Ramona and Mario's marriage really was. It seemed to me that Mario had a wandering eye and if they were sooo perfect, why the comments in Morrocco when the fortune teller said there was another woman. Why did Luann ask Ramona the way she did when she asked Ramona, "How's that going?" about her and Mario at the trifecta lunch. It was as if she knew there were rumors out there. I don't doubt Ramona was crazy about Mario but I do wonder if Mario felt the same way. I also don't see Ramona out there dating for a good while. I think she's absolutely crushed and humiliated. I just don't have a lot of sympathy for her. Yeah, divorce is devestating but it's hard to ignore the things she has said to other people about their marriages, children and husbands. She's proven her own lack of empathy and regard for other other people over and over. She's been totally condescending.
  15. I don't think Josh 'abandoned' his boat. IIRC Casey stated that Josh was leaving to take care of business which would be totally normal since he is the owner. They were out at sea for how long and as far as I know, no one takes care of the running of the business side of the boat while he's out there. There are bills to be paid, etc. and I don't think the CM has a huge cash flow so when the money came in for opies, he had things that probably had to be taken care of. Yeah, he may have been able to do some things electronically but not all bills are sent this way and knowing that a hurricaine was coming, chances are there would be a loss of power and internet. Add to this, we've seen these boats go through many, many hurricaines without problem. As some have stated, the interesting question is why was the boat docked at that spot in the first place. Casey made it clear he was the captain. That was his responsibility unless they were unable to dock in the sheltered area. Did he think the winds weren't going to get as high as they did? Who knows. And when he called Josh, did he only call him once? I think the reason he didn't know Josh's number might be because he was using the satellite phone. I can't believe that Casey wouldn't have Josh's number on his cell. Also, how long after Josh left, did the hurricaine hit? I would think someone's message box would get pretty full when you're running a business and out to sea without cellphone access. Maybe Josh didn't even get a chance to go through his messages yet. I'm not saying that this is what absolutely happened but I do think there can be reasonable explanations. As for Scotty helping the CM out, I guess because I'm from an area where that is nothing out of the ordinary when other boats have a problem, I didn't see it as some great thing. That's what sailors do and it looked like other people were helping as well. I will give him credit for telling Casey to talk to the crew member. Yeah, Scotty has grown up over the years but I understand Andy's point of view. Scotty shouldn't have asked for the quota to captain another boat. He brought that up before the TB had even been looked at and determination of the damage and time to fix was even known. I also think that Andy was right when he said that Scotty had it easier than the other crew and had been coddled. If he really wants to be a captain, he has to prove he's got the devotion to the boat and that he can be counted on.
  16. Luann was married before the show started. They got divorced in 2010 IIRC - season three maybe. She got an email from him in 2009 saying that he was in love with someone. He also appeared on the show several times but apparently lead separate lives.
  17. How is Jonathan 'Mr Mom'? Last I knew he has a career as a Senior Managing Director, Principal at Cassidy Turley. Is he an involved parent? Seems to be (and seems to be a very good one based on what we've seen) and not unusual when both parents work. I don't think Luann ever came close to describing herself as mother of the year. Ramona brought up the subject. How is she supposed to respond. I like Luann the first season. After that, I couldn't stand her up until this past season. And although I couldn't stand her, I thought Ramona crossed the line in the trifecta conversation.
  18. I don't think Ramona necessarily assaulted Jonathan's character but she did insult him. Calling someone vanilla may not necessarily be bad but when you go on and gush about how YOUR husband lights up a room when he enters it, it then becomes an insult and a putdown.
  19. To the best of my knowledge, the photo of Mario and Kasey wasn't revealed until after part 2 of the reunion already aired. The date on In Touch is August 6th. It is possible that Ramona and Mario decided to put off the divorce until after the reunion but I kind of doubt it. I think it's more likely that they decided to try for a reconciliation but it's not working out.
  20. Bobby Ciasulli is a volunteer, not a professional firefighter. He (or his father) own a number of new car dealerships in NJ. - Bob Ciasulli Auto Group.
  21. Aviva's statement about To Kill A Mocking Bird once again shows the kind of person Aviva is. She said ya know, a lot of people don't know that To Kill A Mocking Bird was written, or done, by Truman Capote. The fact is that there is no proof that Truman Capote wrote the book. Speculation? Yes. Some circumstantial evidence? Maybe. But fact? No. And this is what Aviva does. She spins. She takes 'rumors' or 'maybes' and repeats them as fact. Add to that, now she is an expert in the publishing field. She wrote a first draft. I also find it so 'Aviva' that she even brought this up. Why? According to her, she didn't have a ghostwriter but it's what is done in the publishing business. To me it seemed like a failed passive agressive attempt to say that Carole did have a ghostwriter because writers do but yet at the same time, Aviva didn't. She went in circles. Add to that, she makes the statement if someone lies about you, you correct it once and move on. This is just further proof to me that she is a person with no integrity whatsoever. Plus a hypocrit. Who brought their xray to a party to 'prove' they had asthma? Who kept on showing their inhaler? Who brought a doctor's note and business cards from their doctor? Yes, Aviva, if you believe if someone protests to much, they're lying, well then, what about you?
  22. I don't think that Ramona is playing 22 nor do I think her 'age' has anything to do with her meanness to other people. As a matter of fact I'm so tired of the 'age' card being thrown out by some of the women on the show and even here. Carole's fifty and doesn't have a man. Ramona didn't learn that you don't throw things in her sixty five years of life. It's the go to insult attempt when you can't think of anything else to say to put a woman down. A very sad reflection on our society here in the US. Ramona says what she says to make her feel better about herself. Just like her demands when she travels. I don't think she is jealous of the other wives. She doesn't want Lu's life or any of the other women. She just wants to feel her life is better and she gets that feeling by putting other people down whenever she can. Mario's cheating becoming public is all the more devastating because of this. t t
  23. Actually, Carole did not tell Aviva she was 'wierd' when she gave Aviva back her leg. She did say that she needed help and that (or this) is not ok.
  24. So, just to clarify, this is what happened when Carole said Aviva was nothing. See video: http://www.christianpost.com/news/real-housewives-of-new-york-season-6-carole-blasts-liar-aviva-over-bookgate-youre-nothing-video-116381/ Also, as for Heather saying that the first doctor was wrong, no, she never said or implied that. What she did say was that they got a second opinion and that doctor said that he didn't think the surgery would benefit Jax. Heather then stated that, after talking it over with Jax who said he didn't feel his hearing was that bad, they decided to hold off on any surgery for now. There was nothing said or implied that the first doctor's opinion was wrong. As for the other housewives confronting Aviva about her behavior, I don't believe that Aviva is mentally unstable. Rather, she is a person who has mental problems. Big difference. As I've stated before, Kelly's behavior on Scary Island seemed to be of a person who is mentally unstable (Al Sharpton, her dream about Bethenny). Aviva's behavior has been of someone who is very calculated and her phobia's, etc. have been used by her when it's convenient. Treating Aviva with kid gloves isn't the answer. She needed to be told that no one is buying into her game and she does 'need help'. Lastly, I don't think any of the women think that Aviva's loss of her leg is trivial and understand the trauma that one can have because of this experience. The problem they have (myself included) is that Aviva's phobias, etc. come and go when it suits her. I don't think (and Ramona said this) that they would have a problem if she said she's afraid to go to a place far away for an extended time without Reid. That would be understandable given the fears one may have being an amputee and if somethng happened. It was about something else (asthma) that came out of the blue. Aviva is quite capable when she wants to be. She's also quite self confident (her confrontation with Carole over the book) when she wants to be. IMO, she's a fake who does need therapy, not someone who needs to be coddled for mental illness. I think she's been coddled most of her life which is probably one of the reasons she is like she is (plus having a really screwd up father but I have no desire to go there. And I think think she goes right along with his games).
