  1. A place to discuss particular episodes, arcs and moments from the show. Please remember this isn't a complete catch-all topic -- check out the forum for character topics and other places for show-related talk.
  2. A place to discuss particular episodes, arcs and moments of Coven including the witches of Miss Robichaux's Academy, voodoo priestess Marie, 19th-century slave killer Delphine, Stevie Nicks, and the rest of the residents of New Orleans.
  3. It is interesting that only two American's have ever been judges, Howard Stern and Brandy. Anyway looking forward to the judges interacting this year.
  4. Rachel being surprised that Cosima is gay points to a larger issue of sexual orientation (FYI that is the preferred term not sexual preference) among all humans. Drop the soap and beeble mentioned identical twins and the fact that in some cases twins, while residing in the same womb, might emerge with different orientations i.e. one straight and one gay or lesbian, one straight and one bisexual, or one bisexual and one gay or lesbian. Maybe the show is trying to say that no matter how much we might want to create multiple versions of ourselves there will always be variations based on how each person's biology is formed while in the womb. The fact that they stated Sarah and Helena are mirrors of each other, Sarah can give birth to the next generation of humans and Cosima is a lesbian points to this fact. I find this fascinating and am looking forward to the rest of the season. It looks like they are wading into some interesting waters regarding science and religion.
  5. I just looked at Jerick's wedding registry at Bed Bath and Beyond and they want way too much stuff. What in the world will they do with all this stuff? They have no concept of how a house is arranged or what a newly married couple really needs because neither of them have had any exposure to the outside world.
  6. The lack of diversity on this show is alarming especially when demographers say that in 2050 whites will no longer be the majority population in North America at least. Most of these people should be combinations of two racial groups. Also, where are the LGBT people if this is supposed to be set in the future?
  7. Wow I thought Phillip was going to kill Pastor Tim over Paige going to church and giving away her money. Elizabeth is also cracking under the pressure and I bet both of them are going to spill their guts to their kids really soon. The older they get the more they are going to notice the inconsistencies in their parent's stories so it's only a matter of time before they find out anyway. As always a stellar episode dripping with tension and doubt.
  8. This show makes me cry every week and appreciate the good things that life has to offer. I love these women and the men too especially the way that they all support each other.
  9. random chance- Loved your post about Victor. You said Vincent FYI. As for Haddie, I'm glad they didn't identify her orientation just yet. All we know is she has a girlfriend and her parents (and if the dinner scenes are an indication) and extended family are fine with her coming out. I still hate the way they are telling the Max storyline and my feelings are similar to the rest of you upthread on that score.
  10. I thought that they did a great job with Haddie's coming out scene with Kristina on Parenthood. Tavi Gevinson of Rookie Mag fame was quietly affecting as Lauren, Haddie's girlfriend, and I am hoping they renew the show just so we can see more of them. I wish they would've spent more time with Haddie's story and less on Amber and Ryan but I can't complain because they treated Haddie with respect throughout the episode.
