I think that Joy Anna might be the first girl to escape the sojourn to Journey to the Heart camp. I say this because we haven't heard of anyone getting sent away except for Josiah and Alert is a totally different experience than Journey. I really hope that with the Gothard scandal they've stopped most of the ATI crap. They have already evolved with so many things so why not get away from the rest of it and be more like Cathy and Derick.

I just found out that the actors who play Alison and Donnie's kids are brother and sister IRL. Their names are Drew and Millie Davis. I hope that they get to interact with Kira soon because that would be all kinds of awesome since Kira would run circles around them. My favorite part of the episode was the adventures of Alison, Felix and Vic. What I love about this show is you never know what is going to happen next because I didn't expect that Leekie would get shot by Donnie.

Derick is going to be these kids way out of Gothard...mark my words. Especially since Jill has been towing the family line for her whole life.

So Jill is following FOX news and that means that they watch TV which is another clue that they are leaving Gothardism behind. I really think that because Derick's mom wears pants Jill will not far behind. I hope this stuff sticks so the rest of the girls can break free. Oh and both of them follow President Obama which is interesting.

I go back to my earlier statement regarding the lack of diversity and the now apparent killing of people of color as the show has progressed. I have to stop watching this show so my brain won't turn to jello.

I just watched the video and I think the family is slowly backing away from Gothardism based on the fact that the girls were included in the activity. Jim-Bob seems to actually like his kids and I hope he spends the majority of the time raising them and not Michelle. Maybe the howlers and lost girls will be the ones to break them free of the super fundie life they've led and they can finally go to school.

I am sure that Derick has at least kissed a girl. As for Jill, I think she is biding her time and can't wait to leave. I can see both of them hightailing it out of the country after an acceptable amount of time has passed and never come back. Jill seemed real eager to stay in Nepal.

The first thing that struck me about the show was the warmth and gentle teasing between the kids and Stef and Lena. Also, I loved that the show started with us meeting Lena and Callie and then seeing the rest of the family members. I was anxiously awaiting this show when it was first announced and right from the start I wasn't disappointed. Teri and Sherri created magic as Stef and Lena and right from their first interaction when Stef walked in the door you could see the chemistry oozing from their pores. I love that the house is just big enough for five people but gets real cramped when Callie and Jude arrive. That realism is really refreshing. The most arresting moment was when Callie was in the bathtub because you could see it in her eyes that she still had reservations about staying with the family and as we later learned she was also worried for her brother. So glad we get to re-visit this show ahead of season 2. Let's try and get through each episode over the next two weeks.

Watching this show makes my brain hurt due to the huge amount of plot holes each week. Last night's episode had by far the most and I still don't get how these kids could survive on Earth when they've spent their entire life on a space station with a number of years being locked up. I'm thinking that if they don't correct these things I should stop watching.

Our first episode of the re-watch party. We will be re-watching Blood and Sand, then Gods of the Arena, then Vengeance and finally War of the Dammed. I will be posting new episode threads the day before they air on SyFy. Can't wait to read everyone's take on the show both new and returning viewers. Discuss away.

I am really liking the 12 episode format this season. We aren't getting extraneous stories and the pacing is much better. Also, people are listening to Jack, Chloe and Kate which is a refreshing change of pace. Michelle Fairley is knocking it out of the park as Margot Al-Harazi. I was terrified of what she would do next since she already cut off her daughters pinky finger. The moment between Jack and Audrey was a thing of beauty and she is the only person who matched Jack on a personal and professional level over the course of the show's history with Chloe coming in a close second (sans the personal side). I wonder how they are going to handle the time jump because so far they've gone to the next hour in the story and haven't jumped ahead.
