  1. And it's crazy to think he said that all the while knowing what Josh did to his sisters. What gall.
  2. Which formula?!?!? I'm a math teacher! I want to brag to my students about this! When they were toddlers, I taught my kids to recite the quadratic formula (also the Gettysburg address) because WHAT A GREAT PARTY TRICK. (I want to say that I'm a better mom than Jillpm, but I guess to a 3yo there's no difference between blindly memorizing bible passages and blindly memorizing the quadratic formula...). However, for the record, my kids are in their 30s and all self-supporting and living on their own... so I musta done better than she did....
  3. Wait. Wait. Is she wearing it now because she's pregnant again???
  4. If it actually was EXCELLENT, you can be sure she would've spilled the details. More likely is that she considers it excellent that she was able to find him ANY job that would tether him to Ohio - and keep him just close enough to the poverty line that he'll be able to treat her to frequent meals at the GOG but not be able to escape.
  5. My husband grew up in that area, and he pronounces it "skookle" (with the oo as in fool). 'Course, he also pronounces bedraggled as "bed-raggled" and misled as "my-zeld" so who knows....
  6. At first I thought she was talking about her own reaction to Josh's trial....
  7. 4am in the morning. As opposed to, I dunno, 4am in the evening?
  8. Boomer parent here (free-range early 70s teen). I was up to no good when I was a teen. My independence-building activities were mostly illegal and/or immoral; it really is a miracle that I wasn't killed, arrested, or pregnant! I kept my kids on a much shorter leash whenever there was a possibility of repeating my mistakes. (They still got into mischief, but not nearly on the scale I did. They're in their mid-30s now, and turned out a-ok!) Speaking of my kids...... I'M OFFICIALLY A GRANDMA NOW! Benjamin was born last week, and he is the cutest lil fella EVER. Being a grandparent is really special. Different than parenting, and in some ways better than parenting. Really brings back warm memories of my kids' infancies.
  9. I just.... I just... CANNOT BELIEVE this is the photo they chose. I am simultaneously horrified and laughing hysterically!
  10. Smile? Huh. Looked to ME like a poop-grimace! 'Course, I have old-lady eyes.....🤣
  11. There was a pic of New Pastor Nathan Keller next to an Anchor Baptist Church sign. There are several Anchor Baptist churches in Florida. Anyone know which one it is? Crazy coincidence - my brother-in-law used to be a youth pastor at an Anchor church on the gulf coast side. Wouldn't it be crazy if it was the same church (he is now in Columbia SC, though).
  12. As I recall, her older daughters DID have a car accident - and she made them pose for a picture immediately afterward (likely for grifting purposes).
  13. The ONLY thing I watch is hockey! So if we blended into a single person, we'd be the perfect Olympic consumer!
  14. To be honest, it's probably best that she continues with her delusion - for her own mental health, and for her children's. Wouldn't it be easier on the children to be told that their father was wrongfully imprisoned than to be told what he ACTUALLY DID???
  15. How on earth does someone lose 9 pounds in two weeks? Either some of these ladies are lying liars..... or they had internal organs removed during the two weeks..... or the product has some pretty suspect ingredients. Or maybe none of these ladies exist at all, and Jillrod made them up?
  16. I've often thought "What would *I* do in this situation? A situation in which one of my children commits a crime against another of my children?" It would be painful enough to have a child of mine commit a crime, but a crime against a sibling? I just. Cannot. Fathom. I truly do not know what I would do. But I know what I WOULDN'T do: go on national television as my ministry to tell the world that my way of raising children is ideal. Because clearly it isn't.
  17. I had cataract surgery on my left eye when I was 55, and my right eye when I was 59. I was EXTREMELY anxious about it, trembling and nearly having a full-blown panic attack when I was in the chair and the ophthalmologist was about to begin. At that point, my eye had already been numbed, my head fixed into a pillow-like vise, and a bright light was shining in my eye. He asked me to tell him if anything specific was making me anxious, and I said "yes -- what if I have to sneeze at the very moment the knife is plunged into my eyeball????" and he replied "well, you don't have to worry about that at all..... because I'm done! You can go now!" Needless to say, I was perfectly relaxed when I got the second eye done! The other thing I remember about it is when I had the "pre-surgical screening". There was a health questionnaire, and the nurse was reading the questions to me and writing down my answers. I noticed that she skipped the question "what was the date of your last period?" and I got a little huffy! She said that most of their female patients are over 70 so she skips the question out of habit! She must've taken note that I seemed insulted, because when I was there a few years later for the second eye, she didn't skip the question! The surgery & recovery was a breeze, and it was absolutely miraculous to have perfect distance vision after 50 years of wearing glasses. Not to mention having the cataract "cloud" lifted. Truly amazing. Hard to fathom that less than 100 years ago people were still going blind from this.
