NoWillToResist: Holt disingenuously expressing concern for Wuntch's safety living so close to Salem was fucking priceless. Such a burn. Hahahaha. That was hilarious.

Geez, what the heck was Desi thinking, touching Marnie constantly while everyone was listening to that God awful song -- it was pretty obvious that Marnie was not enjoying all the PDA. Then to respond, "a lot of people make that mistake" after they assume Marnie and Desi are a romantic couple? What the what?

S01.E08: Rule #17: Ask the Answer Lady

When Abby's son misbehaves, he blames it on his imaginary friend. And then both parents let it go. Is that correct? That is so, so wrong. -
Thank you, Frisson!

So, real adults don't really use the word "underpants", right?

Thank you, Kromm! George Segal never disappoints!! Buckets of awesome.

I loved that it looked like some poor PA really did make those costumes and whatever you would call that thing glued to the car out of cardboard boxes and stuff you'd find around the house. I loved the argument between Adam and Pops and the references to calcium tablets, afghans and the shade.

Painful listening to him list, more than once, what constitutes a men's accessory: belts, shoes, ties This is affecting my opinion of Dean Cain. -

I think we are supposed to believe that Phoebe was sad. Or at least that her ex had bruised her ego. I only know that it was her ex bc another character joked that Phoebe had mastered the art of getting great jewelry from an ex-husband. Also she looked really pissed when she saw the interior decorator, who was not some bimbo. -

Oh, my god, yes. Why would anyone invest in a custom suit company when the owner shows up in such an ill-fitting suit? It looked like he was wearing four sweaters underneath. And he kept trying to force them to listen to him yammer on about stuff that was of no interest to them. -

Is this the first time I have ever heard Kevin say battery or batteries? I rewound three times; does he pronounce it strangely? "Baaat-tree" "Baaat-trees" ? -

Very good points. At her age, her few remaining eggs would be of low-quality. Sadly, if she had conceived, she probably would have miscarried without a day-after pill. I like Lisa Edelstein, so it upsets me that either the writing or directing of the show is making her kind of difficult to relate to. The vodka tampon thing was terrible. And then we hear one mom confide to Jake that she had tried it and it totally doesn't work. Tsk, tsk, show. -
Add me to the list of viewers who didn't need to see that sex scene.
-
Did they use body doubles for the sex scene? I cannot imagine how Brian Williams would react to watching that scene. Nice seeing Anthony Edwards and Ana Gasteyer. Although it is weird that she played the wife of Danny's former medical school friend on The Mindy Project, and now she's the mother of a college grad.

S02.E08: Valerie Gets What She Really Wants

(ducking) Am I the only viewer who thought the dress was fugly? I am probably also alone in thinking that this finale was a little disappointing and anti-climactic. Maybe because i thought the rest of this season was so fantastic. They raised the bar too high, my expectations were too high. Loved the Tilda Swinton joke. Loved, sniffing, then ". . . oh, it's an egg." Agree that it was weird that someone called Mark when Mickey collapsed. -
S02.E07: Valerie Faces The Critics

Richard: Ah, yes! I think you're right. I now remember throughout both seasons there being many quick, barely perceptible moments that revealed Val's racist behavior. Thank you for clarifying. So I watched a few of this season's earlier episodes. Mark seemed pretty enthusiastic about meeting Seth Rogan and HBO giving Val tickets. He definitely likes the perks Val's career provides. Anyone have any theories about their income? I once thought that Val might have had a lot of money (well-invested I'm It! money, perhaps?) the way she would offer to pay for things. But now I am not so sure. -
This was a weird episode. Nate was so neurotic and critical of Abby. Why did she even bother to seek him out to tell him face to face that they should stop dating? I also don't understand why the brother needed to be in the bathroom while Abby's friends were arguing, unless it was just an excuse to not be standing next to his husband.

Did it piss off Jane that Val claimed that she was wearing a mic for Jane who really needed a win? Will there be repercussions? -
S02.E07: Valerie Faces The Critics
hoodooznoodooz replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Comeback [V]
I think Valerie's postal carrier probably has more awareness into the issue than poor Valerie does. But seriously, I think Jane just knew with absolute certainty that it would be awkward and, therefore, would make for great viewing. Lisa Kudrow amazes me. If they nominate Lisa, Julia Louis Dreyfus and Laurie Metcalf for an Emmy, I will not know whom to root for. -

It is indeed like Alice in Wonderland! I was surprised that Valerie used so much of her not on-camera self while interacting with Mark. What was the name of the site? greydaddy.com?
