  1. Loved all the manipulations. Rachel to Adam. Rachel to Adam. Chet to Quinn. Adam to Anna. Pick virtually any combination of two characters and you have no idea what their real motivations are. Thought the Chet betrayal storyline was a little too telegraphed. It's unfortunate for the show that I don't care about Jeremy/Lizzie. It's bad for the show I'm not that interested in Chet/Quinn.
  2. The only way I can buy this spoiler is if it's missing something about Rachel somehow convincing Adam to pick Anna/Grace/Faith after she rejects him and saving the show with the demand from Adam he won't do Royal Love. I just don't buy she we would demand an executive producer gig after a second breakdown, the Suitor not picking anyone, and not delivering Adam.
  3. Jake's a terrible actor, but they've invested a lot in his red herring-ness. I agree that next week no important characters will be killed.
  4. Unverified wiki spoiler for the finale that was quickly deleted. It has things that ring true for me, and some that don't. I know there's no spoiler tags in the spoiler thread but I will leave some room because this is not your average spoiler. I don't have trouble believing that Royal Love falls apart, and Rachel picks no one or the Shia stuff. I doubt that Rachel would still think she could be an exec producer after an emotional breakdown and ruining the show two years in a row. Also, ending the show with a reunion strikes me as an anti-climax.
  5. Noah doesn't have to choose anything if he's working with someone else. Under my theory if Emma "chooses" Brooke. Noah kills her and tells Branson to call her, giving him the alibi.
  6. I do wish that we got to know the female contestants better, although we have gotten a fair amount of Faith, Anna, and Mary, but I can understand why they didn't want to focus on the people that would be gone next season (and financial considerations). IMO, Grace should have gotten a focus episode. It may also have been a mistake for Adam only to be there for PR because it undermined the stakes. One of the challenges of this show is that they're halfway between anthology and primetime soap. If they decide to split the difference with Adam and Royal Love, I understand why. The love quadrangle is somewhat bothersome, particularly because the fiancee isn't even a character. I say that not as shipper (although I sorta am) but because a producer falling in lust/manipulating the Suitor and vice versa had sufficient dramatic and thematic possibilities. Also, even if I've liked Quinn/Chet better lately, it struggled at first. While I think American Horror Story: Reality TV Production may have its merits, this show ultimately was designed as more of a character study for Shiri Appleby's Rachel and then to some degree Quinn. If you don't like them, I think there's a good chance that the show would wear out its welcome rather quickly no matter which route they took.
  7. Just so I'm clear, I think Constance Zimmer is fantastic. I've been a fan for a long time, and I think the Rachel/Quinn relationship drives the show. I think it's a product of Rachel being the main focus and overall non-Quinn Rachel stuff working more than non-Rachel Quinn stuff, particularly in the first 3-4 episodes (IMO, it's improved the past couple of episodes).
  8. It will be interesting to hear the full story. "Gangs" aren't usually targeting Bachelorette contestants. http://www.tmz.com/2015/07/15/the-bachelorette-jj-lane-beat-up-gang-fight-men-tell-all-after-party/
  9. Noah can stay at the job because he doesn't have to kill Brooke. Branson's killing Riley. When Branson stabs Riley, he calls Noah to call Riley, giving him the perfect alibi.
  10. I can speak to personal experience of the police ending an investigation into a suicide before the victim was even dead.
  11. I actually agree with you that most viewers watch a show until they become individually bored and plot points have much less of an impact than overall quality. There are exceptions, of course. (I bet Graceland wishes it could redo its S2 finale.) If she chose Jeremy over Adam it would cause some Internet annoyance, but the show's ratings for Season 2 would really be dependent on how many people liked the show overall. I would actually go even further than you. I'm not sure that many casual viewers would care if Quinn was Ned Stark'd. The two people I've talked about this show offline both think this is essentially The Shiri Appleby Show. I had to remind them that there even were Quinn/Chet plots.
  12. Two killers at least. One to kill Riley, the other to kill Brooke. Killer must know that Brooke is sleeping with Mr. Branson. In fact, I think Mr. Branson is one of the killers. As to his accomplice - part of me thinks it has to be one of the "main" kids because they would have to know that they were going to the police. Will seems most likely but that's too much like the first movie. My guess is Noah. When Noah was researching Brandon James, he reached out to his brother (Mr. Branson) and they came up with this. Mr. Brandon paired Noah with Riley to keep an eye on her. If she doesn't go to the police, Noah kills her there. Brooke told Mr. Branson about the spa hotel.
  13. I see your point and completely agree on Homeland although I would say that this show doesn't need to be as organic as most because the premise is inherently inorganic. However, as I said earlier I'm not sure Shapiro/Noxon are telling the truth regarding Adam. After all, these episodes were written and shot months ago. If the show ends with a pretty clear way for him to stay, that means their comments have been ... misdirection, to be polite. Also, Rachel/Adam doesn't strike me as a type of storyline that would cause a divergence between hardcore and casual viewers.
  14. Well, I'm actually not that worried about the live ratings. At this point, the live number probably is what it is. Hopefully, there will be an uptick for the finale, but I think expecting anything massive this season is unrealistic. Hopefully, people catch up between now and season 2.
  15. Really liked the closing scene between Adam/Rachel. He's a whore but he admits it. The one thing that worries me is that it's still pretty clear that she sees him as Plan B like Quinn suggested.
  16. I think "conceptually" is a major out because it could stand for the concept of Everlasting having a new suitor every year. Also, you have to remember that the vast majority of viewers are much more casual. For them, Adam returning would be a "twist."
  17. At this point I don't think Riley deserves Danny and hope he finds happiness with someone else. I thought I'd like the new girlfriend but she hasn't shown up since she was introduced.
  18. Spoiler from Constance Zimmer's interview on TVLine that I don't fully understand: "There’s something coming up in, I think it’s Episode 6, that to me was shocking, [that] I couldn’t believe we were going to do on the show — because it then tells a different story after we reveal something that happens." I don't know if maybe she forgot the audience saw Shia change out the drugs (sometimes when only one actress is in a scene they shoot it separately). But I can't think of anything that would change my perception of what happened with Mary. Also, possible spoiler - Christie Laing (Shamiqua) tweeted asking whether Adam should choose Anna, Grace, or Rachel. Not that I thought Maya or Shamiqua had a chance, but maybe telling.
  19. I agree with the people who say that a better ending would have been a non-lethal attack shanking of the ex or maybe Anna. It wouldn't have put Everlasting in outright jeopardy, but it would still have gotten Mary eliminated, the network watching more closely, accusations amongst the producers, bad publicity, etc.
  20. There have been previous seasons of The Bachelor where he didn't outright propose to the winner, but yes I think they have to continue the "relationship" for a period of time but that's kept under wraps. I don't think we've had a case where there was no winner at all. I think Adam likes Anna well enough. Given that he's getting serviced by Grace regularly, there was no need for him to contrive a tryst with her unless he was at least physically attracted to her.
  21. I think she sounded stilted because it's an imitation of Koening's speaking style. SNL did it better. My problem is that I'm not interested in Emma, and it's not scary enough.
  22. I presume the Everlasting Hotel is how they plan to keep Adam. I imagine the "winner" possibly shows up for a couple of episodes next season too depending or maybe one of the runners up will be this show's version of The Bachelorette.
  23. It's always tough to tell with Rachel, but the cigarette butt story sounded very unrehearsed so I think it was as close to genuine as she gets.
  24. I loved Jack McCoy but he would be indicting Rachel, Quinn, Chet, and the ex as well. He might also use some insane legal theory to try Adam for leading her on.
