I can't watch anything else. There are longer ones too

Ok, I may look like a dope here, but did Adam lose his sight again? What did ever happen to Mary and Adam? Did they just move away?

The sound effects are killing me.

*MURDEROUS*. The sound effects send me into uncontrollable fits. My husband, on the other side of the house (which isn't far, we're not exactly the freaking Olesons), cracked up at my guffaws.

Hi!! I’m so glad I finally got over here! I lurked on TWoP’s LHOTP forum for YEARS without ever commenting. I finally found the old forum on the Wayback Machine—and then saw this place. I spend HOURS reading the old forum—OMG 😂😂😂 SO happy they saved it—I was up til 3:00 am one night on there totally LMAO. It’s like therapy! 🤣

Just saw the Thylvia episode the other day on Hallmark & the Baby Battering Ram at the mline school one....

Wondering why the Hallmark channel cuts some of the scenes that aren’t disturbing or anything...weird.

Anyhoo, happy this place is here & so glad to see familiar names. ❤️I’m gonna make it a point to visit here often for the hilarity and fun! Now I gotta’ go back and relive some stuff from the old forum...😁

Someone pointed out that waaay back when LHOP was on commercials were the most 2 minutes.  Now that has changed and they would constantly cut the show to fit them in. One fan posted some pretty touching scenes that were long forgotten that were on DVD but not TV.

Those videos are funny but Sylvia will always be someones nightmare that went on paper. The only comic relief was "Harriet: (after finding out that Willie was peeking through Sylvia's bedroom window with the other boys) How can you be a Peeping Tom?!
Willie: I can't, my name's Willie!

He did not - the YT video creator hilariously spliced in the scenes where Charles was told Mary was going blind. They moved to New York City where Adam took up a position in his late father's law firm.

Also, the 6 million-dollar man sound effects while Adam did his Prance of Sight were made of awesome.

Thanks, I think I would have remembered Adam going blind again. And yes, the 6 million dollar man stuff was hysterical.

I just watched the 130-second one takes us through "The Albert Barfs Up Drugs" two-parter so masterfully.

I dare you to watch without laugh-crying. I'm still wiping away tears.

This is genius. And going back to a previous post, I don't know if Mary says "mline," but Doc Baker definitely says "morFEEN."

"you're going to live!!" in the Albert 130 second episode so made me laugh.

So does Albert die later on from nose bleeds? or become a doctor?

I liked how suddenly Walnut Grove had a medical delivery. So convenient.

That put me over the edge. My hands went numb I was laughing so hard. I'm not sure how that happened, but it did. At least I didn't go mline.

I nearly stroked out at this one.

This wasn't as funny as the actual episode, and Charles' GI Joe beard.

I've got to ask what the hell happened in that episode? makes it look like some kid rose from the dead

No, just rose from a coma despite all doctors saying he wouldn't because Charles built a stone altar and then some scraggly mysterious old man appeared out of nowhere. What?

The state came in and took over, booting Hester Sue when she didn't want to go back to school after all the years of helping to teach and running a school (she didn't have official certification, which not a shock in those days). She called up Caroline to tell her she'd be stopping in Walnut Grove to say goodbye to Adam and Mary (who were going to NYC) and that's when Caroline asked her if she wanted to come and work with her at the restaurant and Hester Sue quickly accepted and I always love it when she responds to Caroline asking when she could come (this was when Nellie and Perciful were in NYC as well, visiting his family): "Is tomorrow too soon?"

I think Caroline and Hester Sue would be a cute couple, under different circumstances, of course.

Pa healed James, who had been shot in a bank robbery, with the power of his magical schlong.

No, not that one (although I can see where you got your thing-of-beauty screename @SchlongOfHealing.

I always loved Hester Sue.  I understand she failed to close the door, allowing fire to spread but that was just bad writing. Hester Sue rocks

I agree, Hester Sue is by far my favorite character on this show. And HOLY COW the actress who played her, Ketty Lester, was SMOKIN hot in her day.

Ah, just found the 30 second one for the Lord is My Shepherd two-parter aka the one where Laura hates on Poor Doomed Baby Charles, then runs away to live with a creepy old tertiary man until God grants her wish by killing her and then sending Poor Not-Longer-Doomed Baby Charles back to earth in her place.

Which creepy old tertiary man, you say?

Ernest Borgnine who is immortalized with his admonition to Laura to "rub 'em, rub 'em GOOD!"

The Psycho theme is perfection to accompany Half-Pint's incandescent with jealousy moment.

Must.

Stop.

Watching.

Seriously...I need to get some work done.

You'll notice Pa didn't bother to build altars and go all batshit to save Mary's sight or to save Albert's life when he got the fatal nosebleeds. He just kept grabbing Laura and making her say "My brother is going to die!"

Or "I wanted to see for ME!!!" (When mline Mary thinks she's a-getting her sight back. I say a-getting in homage to Them Snails Garvey telling PrissPot's then-boytoy Seth that Mary was "a-losin' her sight.")

Anywho, there's a reason TWOP referred to Pa as PaMessiah.  The most self-righteous MF on the planet.

Oh yay - Colonel Sanders is gonna make an appearance in Walnut Grove today.

MV5BNjhiNmMzMzUtNDRjOS00YjM0LWJiMzktOWJi

About 10 years before he existed but what's a little thing like FACTS to get in the way of ML's storytelling.

I truly think he was smoking the bong all day at this point.

Also, I would done more than screamed if I had been Hester Sue and had to deal with that PITA customer who was always complaining. I would have gone full-on Nellie Olsen and thrown the plate of pie at him.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

This has been an awful week, and in 2020, that's saying quite a lot. My city was nearly blown off the map by a Category 2 hurricane - and I live in freakin' Iowa. (Derecho is the term for an inland hurricane. Like all the other words/phrases that are now part of our vocabulary, it is unwanted knowledge.)

Watching these videos and reading these comments/remembering the glory days of the TWOP thread - (dear Lord, Schlong of Healing!!!) - well, it's been wonderful!!!!

If someone has the link to the Wayback Machine's Little House thread, and it's OK to share it, I would be forever grateful!!

It's weird but I suddenly remembered Melissa Gilbert was one of Conan O'Brien's first guests when he started on NBC in 1993. She was on like the second week. I can't find a clip but here's a pic:

LATE-NIGHT-WITH-CONAN-O-BRIEN-Episode-8-

I watched and been a fan of his from th first episode and even though he was very nervous on camera for the first time back then he was still funny. Melissa talked about dating and how often guys she meets tell her they had crushes on her growing up. She ask Conan if he did too. Now as I recall she wasn't being flirtatious or anything she was just curious. Conan said he actually had a crush on her sister Mary. He said "When she went blind I thought 'I could help her!'" and that made Melissa laugh.

Too funny. I love stuff like this from the wayback machine. My mom said she had an inherent bias against Mary because she reminded her of her own sister and she thought Mary looked bitchy. I'm like, okay mom, I'm seven. Can I watch tv now pls?

Checks listing to see what episode is on Hallmark:

"For The Love of Blanche" - Season 9 / Episode 20 - On a return trip from Sleepy Eye, Isaiah Edwards is gifted with a pet orangutan after he meets an elderly man and becomes the recipient of his dying wish, and the primate becomes popular around town until she runs afoul of the Olesons.

Yeah, lemme see what else is on!
