The cousin is telling the truth, but Darlene is out of control and will never agree to get rid of anything.   Paul is right, Darlene won't give anything up.   The cousin sees what is really happening, but she'll never be allowed to actually do anything.  This definitely won't be an episode where the hoarder lets anything go, and certainly doesn't trust anyone.    

Poor Johnny, trying to get rid of a jar of coffee from 1976.    I suspect that won't be the last time Darlene goes into the dumpster for garbage.   The crew should just pack up and leave.

This is evil but I’d send her on a vacation and clear the house without her.

Clearing out the hoard without Darlene there would result in a breakdown.   

There have been forced clean outs on hoarder houses, and they have breakdowns when they come home and find their garbage is gone.

For sure, I would want to do that but that would be awful and traumatic. The hoard would be back in record time.

darlene yelling at her cousin to get therapy is priceless. She is also using therapy speak without knowing what it means. David’s influence.

Sorry, the trauma excuse doesn't fly. I've met people who lost their whole family in Rwanda while they hid in a chimney, then starved in a jungle for 3 months before reaching safety.  My own trauma is about 42 to her scale of 1-10. 

She beats everyone up with her trauma story and demands that everyone honor straight up nonsense like "don't discard my 20 years expired already opened instant coffee!! It's my decision! Mine!" 

She's a pain.
