Guest August 24, 2019 Share August 24, 2019 I rewatched the episode last night and didn't catch this on the first go around, but when Christine and Ken were pulling out of their driveway, did Christine exclaim, "Time to hit the road, Zack...I mean, Ken!" Or did she say, "Jack?" I'd like to think it was the former...it would be a fitting farewell. Link to comment

SeeMyDaintyPaws August 25, 2019 Share August 25, 2019 (edited) I loved Penelope’s song. It was the perfect touch for the ending I’m going to miss Christine and her family. And I loved when Ken was finally called “Dad”. Great series Edited August 25, 2019 by SeeMyDaintyPaws 9 Link to comment

Ki-in August 27, 2019 Share August 27, 2019 (edited) I loved Penelope's song at the end too. I also liked the unrequited love aspect of their relationship, it made it more real. The scene where they met and she stuck the cigarette in his mouth and boom! he was in love was incredible, so fast but told a story in two seconds. I loved the ending and the flashing back to him as Renoir. It's like we're all searching for that Renoir moment in our lives Edited August 28, 2019 by Ki-in 7 Link to comment

atlantaloves September 6, 2019 Share September 6, 2019 I'm just glad that Christine got over not finding her special refrigerator magnets. She's just the best, what a happy lady. 7 Link to comment
Emiloo212 October 6, 2019 Share October 6, 2019 I too was glad that Chip had grown enough emotionally to be kind to Martha. I also thought the song at the end was beautiful. I did some research, and it’s “I Know You Too Well” sung by Sabina Sciubba. It’s available on Apple Music. 1 Link to comment
Quickbeam January 15, 2020 Share January 15, 2020 I'm catching up on episodes I never saw. Am gut laughing at "Women's Conference"...Martha at the strip club. It is just so awful, it's funny. It always amazed me how I completely bought into Louis Anderson as Christine. He just did a fantastic job. Link to comment

Guest May 22, 2020 Share May 22, 2020 I love the headlines that said that Hagen Mills (the guy who tried to kill his girlfriend but only killed himself instead) was a Baskets "star." He was in one episode. He played a rodeo clown. Is that really what passes as a "star" of a show these days? Here's the imdb link to his demo reel that includes all forty-two seconds of his "starring" role. Link to comment
peeayebee May 22, 2020 Share May 22, 2020 Thanks for the link. I couldn't remember him either, though watching it again, I think he was good. Link to comment
SunnyBeBe May 22, 2020 Share May 22, 2020 Thanks for info. I had only watched the show a couple of times and wasn't really familiar with the cast. Sad situation with the deceased though. Very tragic. Link to comment
possibilities January 22, 2022 Share January 22, 2022 A really touching tribute to Louie Anderson, who has died from cancer at age 68 https://www.westernmassnews.com/actor-comedian-louie-anderson-dies-at-age-68/article_13005e22-7ad1-11ec-b12a-9f224e459977.html 1 Link to comment
peeayebee January 22, 2022 Share January 22, 2022 I was so saddened to hear yesterday about his passing. But it made me think again of how wonderful he was as Christine, an indelible character. 1 Link to comment
