The sarcastic humor is understood for most folks and long-married couples (I'm one, I know!) A funny, positive dynamic between couples is common with mild eye rolling, funny banter and best yet, it's fun for audiences and great ratings which Live! excels at year after year after year as stats show. The Consuelos family as a whole is a testament to a positive upbringing with education, schooling, and solid values and work ethic with supportive parents. I'd be visiting the young adults too if I was in their shoes and had worked hard to get to the success level afforded them. In fact, our own young adults moved away excitedly to experience the world and we visited all of them with some short and not-so-short flights and some very long drives - 4 hours to 3 days of driving to get there. Thats a fun thing and a nice getaway once empty nesters. I see a married couple with a great sense of humor who have a healthy, respectful relationship. It's well known they enjoy a close relationship with Michael Gelman (& Art) and a wonderful long term staff that's like family to everyone.:) i I don’t disagree with you. Perhaps the trouble is that they are tired of sharing their lives with us. Link to comment

Joaquin will graduate from college soon, and that often is a benchmark for many married couples. I presume that Mark signed at least a three-year contract, as that was Ryan's initial agreement. We are nearly halfway through that three years. Clearly the three-days-at-the-studio work schedule is very talent-friendly. Not many would walk away from that, and the millions of dollars in salary. I know a few folks here who will throw up a bit in their mouths, but Kelly has banked probably close to half a billion dollars during her quarter-decade at WABC and Live. That's stunning for anyone. And also indicative of how lucrative the syndicated market has been. Sure, it's less crazed right now, but their little old show is still top of the heap. The show moves to a huge, modern facility at some point next spring. That will change the dynamic for both hosts. It will be a different routine. They will likely have more space than they ever imagined. There will be new faces in the hallways and new procedures to follow. Look at how it's already changed The View. Their stage is twice the size and they look like ants marching out in the cavernous studio. Art Moore's departure will also play into this. Yes, you can fake appreciation, but I think both Consuelos really admired/appreciated whatever the heck he had done for them through the years. It seemed that Art was a big advocate for Kelly since she arrived on the scene. Their production company has yet to hit a homerun. It's barely noticeable. I listened to her podcast when it first started, but its so exhausting and the 40 minute interviews are rarely groundbreaking. I suspect a plan has already been developed. Gelman has been around even longer, so you have to wonder when he will decide he wants to spend his time away from the city. The staff is probably one thing that keeps Kelly, Mark, and Gelman showing up. So many of their staffers are lifers. No show can go on forever. No co-host duo is forever. Just like Ryan, Mark will likely agree to more than his original contract. He clearly wants to keep acting. 5 Link to comment
NYCRunner October 26 Share October 26 Long discussion today about Thanksgiving dinner & all I could think was that Kelly does not eat a single bite all day long. She just seems to have an aversion to food in general. Except little bites of nuts here and there. 3 1 Link to comment

Her tirade against eating extra food and the timing of the meal go way, way back. I remember her being so aggressive about it back in the Regis era. Her idea of a Thanksgiving meal is probably three almonds and two goldfish. I remember her making snide comments about folks that indulge on Thanksgiving, (raising my hand here as an 'indulger,') and mocking them as though there was something wrong about eating and indulging in this meal during the afternoon. These are the times I really, really dislike her. There are certain things she seems to take personally and really feels she's taking everyone to task that don't agree with her. Keep your ridiculous ideas, customs and habits to yourself Kelllmeeee! 6 1 Link to comment
finnzup Tuesday at 01:13 PM Share Tuesday at 01:13 PM Two days in a row of pulling her sleeves over her fingertips. What happened to coming out and pushing those sleeves up over her elbows? Now she's pulling them over her hands like she's Nanuck of the North. What a stupid segment, "Sexiest Man..." We know she can't speak in coherent sentences and it's pretty obvious from this segment that she doesn't have the ability to read either. Click 1 Link to comment

ByaNose Thursday at 06:55 AM Share Thursday at 06:55 AM Actually, a funny on set “tiff” between Gelman and another producer while on the air. They were on opposite ends of the studio on either side of Kelly & Mark. It was funny because you could hear something and Mark was looking perturbed at the producer and Kelly sort of looking at Gelman. It was distracting them and finally she called them out on the air. She basically said you’re not invisible and everyone can see you. What is the issue? The issue was dumb but it was funny that Kelly called them out. Normally, I would think she was overacting and being a diva but you could clearly see Kelly and Mark being like, WTF is going on? LOL!!!! Link to comment
