tessaray October 16, 2018 Share October 16, 2018 A brief intro to the The Mandalorian universe. Plenty of time to study up, as the show won't debut until Fall 2019, assuming Disney gets their new streaming service up and running by then. https://www.polygon.com/2018/10/15/17979318/the-mandalorian-live-action-star-wars-series-lore 1 Link to comment

VCRTracking December 13, 2018 Share December 13, 2018 In order to really appreciate the hilarity of the tweet below you must first see the clip of Werner Herzog talking about the "obscenity of the jungle" from Burden of Dreams the "making of" documentary of his film Fitzcarraldo: Link to comment
tessaray April 11, 2019 Share April 11, 2019 Aww... the Disney Investor webcast isn't showing us The Mandalorian teaser. But they confirmed 8 episodes and it will debut with Disney+ day one. Link to comment
AzureOwl April 15, 2019 Share April 15, 2019 Are we allowed to post the sneak peak here? Because I found a YouTube upload in the io9 comment section that is still up. Link to comment
Anduin April 15, 2019 Share April 15, 2019 I have two theories. They may contradict each other. The Mandalorian. He hasn't been given a name yet. Theory one, he's meant to be nameless, like Clint Eastwood in the Sergio Leone movies. Two, he has a familiar name. Like, his last name is Fett, Krynze, or Wren. Might even be Vizsla. But I would let out a male squee, a grunt of utmost approval, if he was an Ordo or a Vau*. *Let's be honest. Walon Vau was an arsehole. But judging by the performance record of his troops, he was better than the parental verson of a gary stu, Kal Skirata. Link to comment
Morrigan2575 April 15, 2019 Share April 15, 2019 Clan Ordo! From what I saw, this series takes place 5 years after Return of the Jedi with a new character. Of course new doesn't mean original, they're just saying not Boba/Jango Fett (I think). I'd love it, if they pulled a character from the EU (Legends) or even from Rebels/Clone Wars. Of course when they say new they could mean new to everyone instead of just new to Star Wars movie viewers. Hope that makes sense Link to comment

I certainly don't expect him to be either a woman or dead or both. 🙂 Link to comment
Danny Franks April 19, 2019 Share April 19, 2019 So if this show succeeds, the chances of a Knights of the Old Republic show can only go up. I never really had much interest in the Mandalorians as a culture, and found them fairly one-note whenever they showed up. But the cast is good, and it's about time we got more non-Skywalker related, live action Star Wars. 1 Link to comment

Because I preferred my one note warriors to the annoying pacifists we got. Link to comment

I'm thinking more from various comic books and video games, where it was always something of a shock if there was a Mandalorian who didn't immediately try to kill everyone. 1 Link to comment
