We start out this episode with a flashback to one year ago where Aleister has taken a woman he has met back to his place for what appears to be some bondage-related sexy time, only after he ties up the woman and sets up the video camera another woman appears who knows Aleister. This other woman sasy "This one is perfect" and Aleister asks her if "she is ready to take her place".  The other woman proceeds to lay down on the bed beside the restrained woman as Aleister chants a spell and I think they switch bodies (much as Aleister did with Clay).

 

We cut to Jeremy stitching up Clay's hest wound (it's the least he could do after almost killing him) and Clay assures Jeremy that it wasn't his fault.  Clay gets a little freaked out when the photoreceptors in his eyes shifted to black and white vision momentarily.

Ruth comes into the room under the auspices to figure out how Clay is still alive, but we all know she probably wanted to check out shirtless Clay.  Clay relates what Aleister told Clay during his visions last episode about a great woman who taught him everything he knows.  Apparently this great woman is named Clara (and is probably the 'other woman' in the scene that opened the episode).  Ruth informs the pack that the Undoing has begun, and Ruth can feel all the other witches growing weaker. Ruth warns that unless they kill Aleister by sunrise, all the witches will be dead.

 

Logan shows up at Rachel's house in Toronto -- and she is none too happy to see him.  Rachel confronts Logan about all she has gone through because of what he is (kidnapping, torture, experimentation, etc.), but Logan is convinced he can fix everything for them and their unborn son.  Except for one thing -- Rachel has had a abortion and there is no werebaby on the way.

 

Savannah awakens to find herself in a room with Clara -- Clara says she is there to save Savannah from the coven.  Clara is the witch that Ruth supposedly took away her powers several years ago, and was the same woman that Jeremy/Ruth visited a few episodes ago.  I thought Ruth killed Clara, but apparently she only knocked her out in Clara's home.  So did Aleister give Clara her powers back or is she just a plain old human at this point.

 

Clara voices her concerns to Aleister about Savannah asking too many questions and tells Aleister that Savannah needs to be locked down.  But Aleister isn't concerned as soon all the witches will soon be dead, but is concerned about the werewolves. As Clara asks "what areg you going to do about him ?" Aleister points out that the police officer they have tied up will help them with the wolf problem.  As Aleister casts a spell on the police officer, several visuals are seen -- an eyeball, some roses, a bloody eyeball, a hand dripping blood on a tile floor, some concentric white circles on a black background that change size, a blonde woman in red underwear and stockings sitting on a red couch with the phrase "4:6" superimposed, Aleister's face with flames underneath, skulls and a hand emerging from a bath of blood, a circular tunnel of flames, an atomic bomb going off, the tunnel of flames again, Aleister's face superimposed over the atomic bomb explosion, the concentric circles again, what look like insect eggs in various states of hatching (looks like termites), a blonde woman in red underwear and stockings sitting on a red couch with the phrase "4:6" superimposed again, a finger with a thumbtack being shoved through it with the pin of the thumbtack exiting through the nail surface (which would hurt by the looks of it), and Aleister superimposed over a sunset with his hand reaching towards the camera with a lens flare obscuring the scene in white.  After which, the police officer is under Aleister's control.

 

Logan is strolling down the street past a biker bar, when a man and woman are struggling as they exit the rear door of the bar because the woman has taken the man's cellphone.  Logan tells the man to leave the woman alone, which he does, and then the man punches Logan repeatedly and knocks him down.  The man turns to go back into the bar and Logan calls him back for Round 2.  Only this time Logan lays him out with one punch that sends the man flying.  Logan warns the woman to "get out while you can" and walks off.  One of the men outside the bar follows Logan to his car to tell him how much he admires his fighting skills.  He wants to recruit Logan for a fight club of sorts so Logan can work off his frustrations.

 

Ruth continues to deteriorate from the effects of the Undoing, while Jeremy tries to assist but doesn't know how he can help with someone who can inflict pain from so far away.  Ruth asks Jeremy for an egg as she has an idea.  She performs a ceremony with the egg and when completed cracks the egg open to reveal the egg is filled with blood, and what looks like brain matter and hair, and she explains that this spell will kill Aleister in time before the Undoing runs its course.

 

As Ruth completes the spell, Aleister sits upright from a cot where he was napping (because committing genocide against all other witches is probably pretty tiring) in intense pain.  Clara asks what's wrong as Aleister describes his pain as an ice pick in his brain and Clara concludes it is Ruth's doing, and Ruth is using dark magic as desperate Hail Mary to save all the witches from Aleister and the Undoing.

 

Suddenly Ruth detects that Savannah is trying to contact her via witchy Skype Call (tm Nick), as Aleister and Clara speak through Savannah to Ruth.  Aleister gets a few mommy-related issues off his chest, like the fact she tried to kill him once before.  Jeremy hops into the witchy Skype call by touching Ruth's hand (which is a surprise to Aleister) and Jeremy tells Aleister that he will hunt him down and tear him to pieces while he is still alive.  As Jeremy looks around the room for clues where Savannah/Aleister/Clara are, Aleister tells Jeremy that he will be ready for him.  And as Aleister closes the witchy Skype call, Ruth's mouth starts to bleed. As Jeremy relays what he found out about Savannah's location, he starts feeling odd and it appears the witchy Skype call has triggered his turn into a wolf.  Jeremy tells Ruth to call the others about what they found out as he dashes outside to complete the change.

 

Clay, Nick, Paige and Elena search a house in looking for Aleister and Savannah but find nothing.  Until Nick notices something wrong with a full-length mirror and moves it to discover a holes in the wall leading down to the sexy dungeon we saw in the opening scene.  Paige's nose starts to bleed as the effects of the Undoing continue.  Clay complains about a bad smell and finds a mummified head in a jar as Nick discovers the video camera Aleister used to film the opening scene.

 

Logan preps for Fight Club night, but smells something and in walks Zachary Cain, one of the mutts from last season (who's girlfriend died while attempting to turn into a wolf) that Logan thought was dead.  Turns out that's who he will be fighting.  During the fight, Cain suddenly starts to feel the change coming on, and asks Logan to get him out of there.  Instead of bugging out, Cain asks Logan to knock him out so that he won't change, but Logan's punches won't do the trick so he chokes Cain into unconsciousness.

 

Jeremy returns from outside Stonehaven after changing back and tells Ruth that he had to fight to change back to human form, and when that is added to Clay's vision problems and Clay's wounds not healing as quickly as they normally do he thinks something is wrong.  Ruth states that the Undoing is also affecting the wolves since they were created by the witches.  When the witches are gone, the werewolf curse will be lifted.  But once the curse is lifted, they will no longer be able to change form -- if they are human at dawn, they will stay human but if there are in wolf form they will stay a wolf.

 

Nic, Paige, Clay and Elena watch the video of Clara switching bodies -- but Clara determines that while the spell worked, this is not the body she wants.  Aleister and Clara-in-scantily-clad-woman enter a dark circle and Aleister chokes Clara-in-scantily-clad-woman to death with a wire while holding here by the neck off the floor so that Clara's consciousness will return to her own body.  Based on what Clara says to Aleister in the video that once the Undoing is complete that it will only be the two of them, the group collectively figure out that Clara means to swap her consciousness into Savannah's body and powers.

 

Logan visits Cain in his garage, and while Cain covers up something that he was working on, Logan tells him that he talked to Nick on the phone and the change that began during the fight wasn't random and it happening to wolves everywhere -- and come tomorrow they won't be able to change any more.  Turns out Cain's girlfriend didn't die last season, but is still alive but braindead in a gruesome disfigured state somewhere between wolf and human.  And Cain can't bring himself to kill her.

 

Turns out Rachel lied about getting an abortion and phones Logan to tell him something is wrong with the baby, so Logan rushes off to help her.

 

Clay and Elena discuss the repercussions of no longer being werewolves while Nick and Paige search the BSDM basement -- all of sudden Nick's vision goes wonky and Paige gets the chills.  As Paige collapes on the bed, she knocks the music box over and suddenly the wall seals up trapping them in the basement as Elena and Clay find the sealed up opening to the basement.  Paige determines that is was a witches' door used to hide things and she directs Nick to put everything that Paige disturbed on the table back into place in order to reopen the door.

 

Ruth continues with the spell to kill Aleister as the lights in Stonehave flash and she collapses from the strain, but Ruth indicates that she needs to get to place of strength to complete the spell but that place is some catacombs in Boston that have been used by the witches for hundreds of years and that it is located under the Delphi building there.  Meanwhile, Logan and Rachel return from Toronto to Stonehaven in record time (How they got across the border with someone in that much discomfort is pretty surprising ?). While Jeremy is distracted, Ruth hops in her car and head for Boston.

 

Nick comforts Paige in the sealed basement, but she is declining quickly and says she needs bloodroot to help her condition.  Of course Nick picks this time to confess his love for Paige (seriously, dude, save her life first) which is wildly inappropriate the urgency considering what's happening.

 

We end up going back to Zachary Cain talking to his comatose girlfriend as he finally decides to kill her and ease her suffering.

 

Nick figures out that he still has to reposition something on the table to open the witches' door and Paige becomes unconscious, while upstairs the police office that Aleister cast a spell upon earlier shows up at the house and confronts Clay indicating that he is looking for the cursed ones.  Nick finds the music box dancer on the floor and puts it back into position in the music box.  Elena sneaks up on the police office and attacks him, shoving him towards Clay and Clay kills him.  The witches's door opens and Nick goes upstairs and starts looking for bloodroot.

 

Ruth shows up at the Delphi building in Boston (rather quickly I might add, nearly as quickly as Logan driving from Toronto to Stonehaven in Bear Valley).  Ruth goes into the building and magically opens a door.  Aleister shows up at Stonehaven and magically opens the front door as well.  Ruth enters a chamber in the catacombs under the Delphi building where all the candles are already lit (because magic).  Jeremy confronts Aleister to keep his promise to rip him to pieces but Aleister casts a spell that holds Jeremy in place as Aleister wants to know where Ruth is.  As Aleister squeezes his hand and increases the pressure on Jeremy's skull and blood starts to drip from Jeremy's mouth, Logan in wolf form attacks Aleister and saves Jeremy.  As Logan in wolf form pounces on Aleister, Aleister stabs Logan with one of the many antlers in Jeremy's office, and Logan in wolf form falls helplessly to the floor off of Aleister.  Ruth spreads blood on the floor of the chamber in the design of the Destroyer as Jeremy tries to recover from Aleister's attack, when she starts casting the spell Aleister cries out in pain and runs from the room as Rachel enters and discovers Logan in wolf form on the floor.

 

Logan changes back to human form, but Jeremy realizes that the wounds are too deep and he can't help Logan. As Logan lays dying, Rachel comforts him and he tells her to tell their son all about him, his father and then he dies.

Elena calls Jeremy and Jeremy directs them to drive to Boston to protect Ruth.

 

As Ruth continues the spell against Aleister and Aleister continues to get worse, coughing up black fluids and the black spot on his head is getting bigger.  Clara determines that Ruth has to be in Boston, so Clara and Aleister are headed that way.

Nick obviously finds some bloodroot and Paige is feeling much better.  Elena is still having hearing issues, and Clay professes that he will be at Elena's side no matter what form she ends up in.

 

Zachary Cain shows up at Stonehaven and talks to Jeremy. As Jeremy tells him about the existence of witches and how their deaths are affecting the wolves, Cain doesn't care, he's there about helping kill whatever needs killed to stop the process from killing all the witches and Undoing the werewolf curse.  Because I think he wants to remain a wolf.

 

Aleister, Clara and Savannah show up at the Delphi building (also rather suddenly, the travel times in this show are approaching 'Revolution' levels of inconsistency, but whatever we'll blame it on magic). As Aleister states "Let's finish this". the threesome stride into the the Delphi building.

 

Gotta admit, it was a pretty good penultimate episode leading up to next week's season finale.

Episode Description:

 

A rescue mission to save Savannah, the witches and the werewolves finds Elena and the Pack storming the Delphi building in the predawn hours in a final showdown against Aleister and Clara.

 

Note: The episode title 'Fine Temporum' is Latin for 'End Times'.

The pack shows up at the Delphin building in Boston and the Undoing is affecting them all especially Nick (where it has triggered his change to a wolf, but he's fighting it), Elena and Paige.  Elena is surprised to see Zachary Caine with Jeremy, but Clay explains that they have come to an understanding and Zachary confirms it.  Jeremy then explains what happened to Logan back at Stonehaven and they he died in Rachel's arms -- and once they are done in Boston they will all go back to Stonehaven and give Logan a proper burial.  Elena has flashbacks to the vision that Savannah shared with her, that they will be dead by dawn, and tells Jeremy that if they don't stop the undoing none of them will be alright again.

 

Paige tells the pack that she needs to accompany them to the catacombs as it is protected by a door that only a coven witch can open. Caine discusses the option of killing Savannah since she is the conduit for the Undoing, but Elena tells him that Aleister is the target.

 

Nick continues to struggle and fight the change, since he doesn't want to be trapped forever in a wolf body, and explains to Jeremy that he saw his mother and saw how much she loved Antonio and that he wants the same thing but can't do that as a wolf.  I don't think we have ever seen Nick as a wolf yet in this series.

 

As they go to enter the building, Paige detects that Aleister is already in the building and has cast a spell on the glass doors that will kill anyone that touches it.  So Clay does what he does best and grabs the stone building marker outside the entrance and tosses it through the glass doors -- problem solved. 

 

Ruth detects that Paige has entered the building as Aleister, Savannah and Clara approach the door to the catacombs, and Aleister exclaims that Ruth is going to try harder to kill him. Ruth continues with the spell against Aleister involving a giant cockroach that she calls to her and then crushes into a mortar bowl which dramatically affects Aleister.  Savannah also detects Paige's presence in the building and Aleister casts a spell to take control of Paige. It appears that Aleister has taken control of the security guards in the building as one starts shooting at them.  Everyone scatters with Clay and Zachary ending up in an elevator together.  Nick and Jeremy enter the building and Jeremy picks up a large piece of broken glass from the shattered door and throws it at the guard.  As the disabled guard states that "He is the one true path", Jeremy rushes up kills the security guard and they start searching the building and Aleister temporarily takes control of Paige but it passes.

 

As Paige and Elena descend the stairs to the lower levels of the building, Paige collapses from the effects of the Undoing and tells Elena that she knows that Savannah shared her vision with Elena and that Elena is rushing towards her own death.

Clay and Caine get stuck in a lower level by a keycard controlled elevator and rush out into the building to try and find a way down towards the boiler room in the basement.

 

Jeremy and Nick encounter some more security guards and fight them inside and outside the elevators -- while Nick leads two guards off on a chase through the building, Jeremy battles two more guards inside the elevator.

 

Ruth continues concocting the spell to take kill Aleister inside the black circle in the catacombs as Clara, Aleister and Savannah approach the door to the catacombs, Ruth paints some of the bug potion on her face and chants a spell which causes the black mark on the side of Aleister's face to grow and cause him further pain. Aleister and crew finds the doorway to the catacombs and gets Savannah to open the door (since only coven witches can open it).

 

The elevator door opens and Jeremy and the security guards spill out, having continued fighting all this time inside the elevator.  Jeremy finally gets the upper hand after pulling off a Neo-like spinning walk up the wall and killing both security guards.  Jeremy heads out to try and find Nick.

 

As Ruth waits inside the dark circle in the catacombs, Aleister, Savannah and Clara approach her.  Ruth tries to convince Savannah to help her but she is too tightly controlled by Aleister.  Turns out a lot of Aleister's issues resolve around abandonment by his mother (Ruth) and the fact his foster father tortured him (and Aleister eventually killed him with his powers).  Aleister pulls out the "Do you even know who my father was, whore ?" to his mother.  Damn, that's dark.  Ruth replies with "Come and say that to my face". As Aleister approaches Ruth, Clara warns him to stay outside the dark circle since if Ruth gets Aleister's blood in her spell bowl, Aleister will be dead in seconds.  Clara warns that Ruth won't break the dark circle as it is the only thing protecting her, but Ruth reaches out and grabs Aleister's hand and cuts his hand to get his blood.  Clara tells Aleister to pull her out of the circle which he does because Ruth breaking the circle removed the protection spell around her.

 

Aleister casts a spell on Ruth and takes control of Paige -- and Paige attacks Elena in the stairwell.  As Paige states that she is going to kill Elena, Elena takes Paige down and straddles her body on the landing in the stairwell as Paige fights the effects of Aleister's spell and behaves much like she is possessed (a la The Exorcist) calling out "Get off me bitch !).  Paige casts a Darth Vader-like spell and starts remotely choking Elena as Elena tries to convince Paige to fight Aleister's spell.  Paige finally beats Aleister's spell and releases her grip on Elena's neck and turns and vomits up black stuff, and she is free of Aleister's spell.  As Elena and Paige head further downstairs, I think Paige could use some mouthwash and a breath mint as that black goo looked nasty.

 

Turns out that Aleister's spell did not take control of Ruth (just Paige), since Aleister has no powers in the catacombs (which is a little confusing), and Ruth fights back but Aleister grabs Ruth's hand and removes a ring from her hand which turns out to be the source of Ruth's power, and Aleister's powers return and the growing black mark on Aleister's face disappears. Aleister calls his mother (Ruth) a coward for not killing him 30 years ago. Ruth says that she could have protected him, and Aleister proclaims that she could have loved him.  Dude really needs to get over his parental issues and move on.  Aleister isn't convinced that Ruth is sorry for her actions as Ruth delegated killing him to Clara (so why isn't he mad at Clara for not killing him.  Hmmmm.)

 

Clay and Caine get trapped in the lower hallways behind security doors.  As Caine comes up with the idea to grab two phone booths to smash through a window to get outside, a security guard enters the hallway and starts shooting at them.

 

Elena and Paige are now in the basement level approaching the door to the catacombs, but Paige is still suffering from the effects of the Undoing causing weakness and preventing her from staying upright on her own.  Paige opens the door, but has to remain there since the door will close automatically if she goes through.  So Elena tells her to stay and wait for the others while Elena will go and finish things with Aleister.  Savannah tells Elena that despite her promise to Savannah to protect her, if she can't stop Aleister she has no other choice she has to be prepared to kill Savannah to stop the Undoing.

 

Caine and Clay decide on what to do to defeat the security and Clay plans to change to a wolf to take him down, but Caine convinces him that if he gets trapped as a wolf forever he can't be with Elena. As the security guard changes clips, Caine rushes him taking 4 bullets in his arm, leg, shoulder and chest and takes down the guard and gets his keycard.  Clay gets the keycard from Caine, and Caine tells Clay to go get Elena and defeat Aleister.  Caine doesn't look well.

 

Ruth tells Aleister that there is still time before the Undoing is complete and that she can take away all his pain, as Elena approaches in the shadows.  But Clara convinces Aleister not to believe Ruth and Aleister slaps Ruth down as he knows she was only trying to buy time.  Elena takes the opportunity to attack Aleister and throws him against the wall and knocks the ring Aleister took from Ruth of his hand. Elena and Aleister fight and its a really good fight.  Elena finally knock Aleister down as Clara tosses him the knife Ruth was using in her spell.  As Elena approaches Aleister, he stabs her in the gut with Ruth's knife.  Elena falls to the floor and reaches up and grabs Savannah's hand and pulls her to her knees as Elena apologizes to Savannah for what she has to do but Savannah is still under Aleister's spell, so Elena pulls the knife from her stomach and goes to kill Savannah, but decides to instead remove the thing implanted in Savannah's arm.  She slices Savannah's arm with the knife and digs out a large insect from under her skin, drops it to the ground and smashes it with the handle of the knife and collapses to the floor.  As the insect is removed Savannah is released from Aleister's control, but Clara grabs her and along with Aleister they head deeper into the catacombs.

 

Nick continues to fight with the two security guards in the rotunda of the building, and the brawl heads towards the stairs/escalators.  This begins a remarkable fight sequence that goes back and forth across the stairs and escalators that is pretty cool.  Nick has one really cool move where he reaches under the stair railing with his feet, grabs the security guard's head with his feet and slams the guards head against the stair railing.  Nick gets free, slides down the bannister and head off with the security guards in hot pursuit.

 

As Elena lays wounded on the floor of the main chamber in the catacombs, Clay arrives and comforts her. But the wound is fatal, and before she dies Elena tells Clay that she loves him.  Clay is completely distraught and cries out in pain (Greyston Holt does a really good acting job this scene, some of his best work in this series).

 

Nick continues to lead the security guards on a merry chase through the basement until Nick encounters a door that manages to close and hold tight while the security guards try to pry it open from the other side.  This door is just down the hallway from the door to the catacombs that Paige is guarding.  Nick convinces Paige to go into the catacombs since he doesn't know how long he can hold the door closed, so Paige opens the door and heads inside. 

 

Jeremy continues searching for Nick in the rotunda of the building.

 

Paige arrives in the main chamber of the catacombs as Clay release his hold on Elena's body.  Ruth tells Clay that Aleister has taken Savannah deeper into the catacombs and Clay states that is where he's going to kill him as he starts undressing.  Paige asks if he is going to change into a wolf, and Clay replies that he has no reason to stay human any more as Clay has now taken off his shirts and head into the catacombs (because Clay has to be shirtless at least once per episode, it's probably in his contract). Ruth finds her ring on the floor.

 

Jeremy finally gets to the basement hallways and stops to listen and hears Nick's calls for help.  Jeremy rushes down the hallway to find 3 security guards outside the door that Nick is holding shut.   As Jeremy tells the security guards to back away from the door, they do and Nick opens the door -- 3 on 2 are pretty good odds for the wolves.  As Jeremy closes a door behind him so the guards can't escape, you hear the sounds of a fight behind the door.

 

Ruth puts her ring on Elena's hand as Paige pleads with Ruth that there must be another way.  But Ruth feels that all of this is her fault (it kind of is) and she must put at least this wrong right.  Ruth tells Paige that she loves her, and then cuts her finger and swipes the blood onto Elena's forehead and begins chanting a spell over Elena's body.  Paige continues to plead with Ruth not to do this.

Aleister, Clara and Savannah stop in a chamber illuminated with moonlight -- Savannah threatens Aleister but since Aleister has her talisman she really has no power to do anything. Savannah vows revenge on him for what he did to Elena.  Clara informs Savannah that once dawn breaks, the Undoing will be complete, all the witches will be dead except for Aleister and Savannah and Clara is going to take possession of Savannah's body.  Clara states that once she is in possession of Savannah's body she plans to kill all the members of the wolf pack, and she will take good care of her body.  Except that Clay shows up in wolf form.

 

Ruth continues the spell to save Elena, and as her eyes turn white she collapses and writhes on the floor of the chamber next to Elena.  As Paige pleads that she's not ready for Ruth to die, Ruth tells Paige that she will shine and dies.  As Paige cries over Ruth's body, Elena suddenly sits upright and Paige tells her that Ruth brought her back from death, but Ruth sacrificed herself to do so.  Elena gives Ruth's ring to Paige and Paige tells Elena that Clay went after Aleister in wolf form deeper into the catacombs.  Elena heads into the catacombs as Paige holds her mother's head in her arms.

 

Sidenote: Elena is still wearing her engagement ring from Philip, I think she can finally ditch that what with Philip being dead and all -- and the fact she has proclaimed her love for Clay.

 

Clay tries to attack Aleister but is held back by Aleister's powers, but Aleister can't understand why he has his powers back.  Clara tells him that the catacombs are no longer protected if the coven leader is dead.  Clara concludes that since Ruth is dead, it must be dawn and all the other witches are dead.  But Aleister asks where is the light from the sun.  As Aleister struggles to hold Clay, Clay lunges at Aleister and manages to open up some substantial gashes in Aleister's chest as he flies past Aleister and lands on the stone floor.  With Aleister down, Savannah takes the opportunity to grab her talisman from Aleister's pants pocket.  As Clay turns around and mounts a second attack, Aleister uses his powers to stop Clay in mid-air and flings him into an archway.  Clay hits the archway hard and drops to the floor with a whimper.  With her powers back, Savannah uses them to strangle Clara to death  -- I guess Clara won't be getting to put Savannah's body to good use, talk about putting the cart before the horse. Aleister chokes Savannah since he no longer has any use for her since he thinks the Undoing is complete and Ruth is dead.   However Savannah isn't going down easy and uses her powers to choke Aleister, but Elena interrupts them and Aleister releases his hold on Savannah and starts choking Elena as Savannah recovers on the floor.  Aleister thinks its poetic that it comes down to the only male witch and the only female werewolf fighting it out. Savannah stands up and casts another spell on Aleister that causes his arms to open up, releasing his choke hold on Elena and Elena attacks him and rips Aleister's talisman from around his neck and throws it against the wall. Elena grabs the now powerless Aleister and shoves him head-first into a cistern full of water and drowns him to death just as sunlight breaks through the top of the chamber.

 

Elena removes the dead body of Aleister from the water and drops him on the floor (he's actually dead this time). Elena doesn't know if she killed him in time to stop the Undoing.  Savannah runs off to see if Paige is still alive and Elena approaches Clay's wolf body. Elena tells Clay that she knew that he thought she was dead and that she is sorry that he's probably trapped in wolf form forever and that she loves him.   Jeremy shows up, spots Aleister's dead body and Elena asks him if Paige was still alive.  Jeremy doesn't know since he last saw Paige before daybreak.  Elean fears that it is her fault, that if she was faster that the Undoing wouldn't have occurred.  Paige, Nick and Savannah show up in the chamber so Elena now knows that the Undoing didn't occur, and Clay begins to transform back to human form.

 

As the scene shows the sun rising over the city of Boston, cut to the pack gathering up all the dead bodies in the building and stashing them in the catacombs.  Jeremy thanks Paige for what her mother did to save Elena.   Jeremy apologizes for rebuffing the witches the first time that they approached him for help, and promises that he will never turn them away again. That the witches and the wolves are bound together by all of what happened (that, and the fact the witches created the wolves so long ago).  Jeremy gives a very paternalistic kiss to the forehead to both Paige and Savannah, and Jeremy takes Savannah off to clean up the knife wound on Savannah's arm.  Nick tells Paige that the cleanup is completed, and offers to stay and provide any help he can.  Paige thanks Nick for his help (Nick plays if off rather humbly) and tells him that the coven needs time to heal and rebuild, and because Paige will the new coven leader that she can no longer be involved with Nick (so no more sexy time for Nick and Paige) but thanks him for showing her what love could be and gives him a kiss on the cheek.   Jeremy returns and heads out with Nick.

 

Elena shows up and shakes Paige's hand silently.  Paige leaves and Clay shows up (fully clothed, I guess he went back to the main chamber and got his clothes).  Elena tells Clay that she thought the catacombs would be the end of all of them, but Clay is convinced that fate, magic, whatever that protects them they would be all right.  Elena thinks that it was love.

 

As Clay leaves, Savannah shows up and tells Elena that it was all her fault as he looks over the pile of dead bodies.  Elena tells her not to blame herself since she was under a spell, but Savannah says that she still let Aleister in while Elena tells her that Savannah also let her (Elena) in to her life as well.   Elena tells Savannah that she is powerful and that she always has a choice (especially when she isn't under someone else's control).  Savannah says for the first time in a long time, that she feels like herself.  Elena says that it is finally nice to meet her, and as they proceed to shake hands goodbye Elena and Savannah share a vision.

 

Bloody hands striking a match on a match box, followed by multiple scenes of Elena in covered in blood (looking a lot like the movie 'Carrie') as Stonehaven burns around her.  As several screams cry out during the vision, we see blood-drenched Elena sitting in Jeremy's chair (which makes one think that Jeremy is dead, and Elena is the leader of the wolf pack).

 

As the vision ends, Savannah and Elena look at each confused by what they just saw.

 

End of Season.

 

Well done cast and crew of Bitten, a vast improvement over Season 1 -- every episode had lots of action and forward plot movement and the addition of the witches substantially enhanced the Bitten world.  The choice to make the season shorter from 13 to 10 episodes was a good move as the season moved along quickly and reduced the amount of filler.  I wish Season 1 had been this good, but this season has been fantastic by comparison.

 

Couple of follow-up notes/questions:

• Will it be renewed for Season 3 ?   I know it hasn't been renewed, but based on the improvements this season I figure that its got to happen.
• We never actually saw Zachary Caine die, and we didn't see his body in the pile in the catacombs, so it's possible he's still alive -- so he may show up in Season 3.
• Since the first vision that Savannah shared with Elena didn't exactly came true as they saw it, there's hope that this second vision may not come true either.  But it will give them a lot to think about.
• i wonder what they are gong to do about Rachel -- considering that the wolves generally kill any human that knows about their existence.
• What's going to happen to all of Logan's psychology practice patients back in Toronto ?  I'm kidding, I hope that they just drop all the Toronto stuff completely and just focus on Stonehaven.
• Will Elena finally take off her engagement ring from Philip ?  Probably.
• I wonder if any of the other wolf packs in the rest of the world will ask Jeremy about what the hell happened during the effects of the Undoing, and if Jeremy will relate the fact that the wolves were created by witches -- and that witches exist.
• Will Nick move on to find a new girlfriend ?  Remember that Nick had a club in Season 1 and he had sexy time with his extremely hot club designer.
• Will the pack gain any new members since the events of the first two seasons has depleted the pack by nearly half from 7 (Jeremy, Clay, Elena, Nick, Logan, Antonio and Pete) down to 4.  Will Rachel remain at Stonehaven to raise her werewolf son ?
• Will there be any residual effects from Aleister's actions ?  All the minions he controlled should have some lasting problems.
• What will the witches role be in Season 3 ?   I'm sure we will see them again -- this season was all about the primary threat to the witches, so it will be interesting to see the witches help the wolves when it isn't necessarily their concern, but a threat to the wolves instead.
• Will Clay go back to teaching at university ?  Will Elena resume her photography career ?
• While we saw fewer pack members in wolf form this season, the wolf CGI was a vast improvement over Season 1.
• The cinematography in this S2 finale was really good -- the effective use of light and shadow gave the whole episode a great look and feel.

I have to think the fact that Space gives Bitten it's own post-show would seem to indicate that they really like the show and the ratings it brings in, which bodes well for a Season 3 on that channel at least?  I am less sure about Syfy picking it up.  Airing 2 episodes at a time  seems like an attempt to burn through them faster.

 

I'm really hoping that Cain is alive...because the packs number is really dwindling.  If Cain is dead then Nick's odds for surviving next season would seem to drop rather dramatically...

1) Was it ever explained how Savannah was able to drink Elena's blood and not be effected by it (ie..change into a wolf and likely die)?

 

2) If Savannah was the one to cast the undoing spell then why would it be Aleister's death that would stop it?

 

3) How did Elena know where to find that mind control leech in Savannah's arm?  Did I miss the scene where someone told her about that?  About the only thing I can come up with was that she smelled it, but then why didn't she smell it earlier back at the ranch?

 

4) If Cain was planning on sacrificing himself to take out the guard, why didn't he change into a wolf first?  Isn't the wolf much faster, more agile, and more durable?  Or for that matter why didn't Clay and Cain rush the guard the moment they heard his gun click empty instead of waiting to have a conversation.

 

5)  Did the pack really have to murder all those innocent security guards that were under Aleister's mind control?  I mean if you are close enough to them to rip their throat out, then you are close enough to use your enhanced strength to just knock them out with a blow to the head?   It bothered me a little that they never acknowledged that those guys were innocent pawns and treated them like they were also bad guys to be slaughtered without a thought?

I'm watching it, though I was a bit behind because of a wonky DVR and a vacation. I'm caught to this episode now, but I dunno, I'm just not all that moved by it. It's OK, but I'm a huge fan of the books and most of my thoughts about the episodes are about how they compare to the books, which is both spoilerific and somewhat unfair.

I did like that Elena got to kill Malcom, but didn't like that she got kidnapped right after. Logan was an idiot was jumping into the Witchy FaceTime Conference. I know he's scared about his girlfriend, but come on, that kinda shit never works out well.

Savannah seeing through Alistair's bullshit was also a nice choice (it could have been easy to make her the whiney teenager, who takes too long to see the error of her ways) but it seems she is outgunned at this point.

I've been slow to warm up to this season, though this episode did help draw me back in. Basically, the first episode almost lost me because I barely remembered who anyone was and because of that wasn't all that motivated to watch on a regular basis.

 

However, I am excited they are bringing the witches (and demons) in, like in the book series, and this episode worked well to suck me back into the series as a whole-- some nice action, some cooperation between the wolves and the witches, Malcolm is finally dead (hooray!) and I like Nick and Paige.

This was a good episode! A lot happened. I like the witches and werewolves working together-- I was thinking Alistair was a demon because there are demons (and vampires) in the book series, but it looks like he is a male witch.

I liked Elena actually being smart in her captivity: punching a hole in the wall to talk with Savannah, refusing the change, submitting to Richard in order to avoid being killed, then trying to escape.

So is Logan in a cell now? He must be, but we only saw Rachel.

The ending-- what the hell was that?! I was going WTF too. I don't think this will end well for the doctor.

I am really enjoying this season sooooo much more than last season! I don't know if it's just because I find the storyline more interesting (probably) and because it's a lot more action packed (definitely) but I think the quality is a lot better over all. I am also enjoying your recaps, otto, because if I forget anything I can just go back

 

I'm not surprised Dr. Bauer didn't make it in the end, though I was surprised she actually survived the transformation. She was a bit... odd... though; the scene on the rooftop were she wanted to feel the pain was just... weird. I am sorry she's dead because she was smart and passionate (if a little crazy) and it would have been interesting to see Elena adjust to not being the only female werewolf and have someone in a similar situation to herself.

 

I was really excited that Rachel showed some initiative and was able to break through the brain-washing to try and escape-- good point about the top, but at least she did something. I feel like she's been kind of passive and reactive since her first appearance, so it was really nice to see her being proactive.

 

Thumbs up to Paige and Nick-- though seriously, why is sex up against tree sexy? All I could think about was how uncomfortable that would be!

Part of this episode bored-- mainly, anything with the alphas and werewolf business. Yawn. I did enjoy seeing Marsten again, if only briefly. But otherwise I find all the pack political stuff annoying as hell. I wish Savannah had shaken some sense into those dumb alphas with her magic, but at least Roman seemed to be coming around at the end.

Otherwise, I did like the other parts of the episode, especially Nick finally meeting his mother and it turns out she knew everything all along! Awwww! I miss Antonio. And I continue to like Paige and Nick. If she got pregnant with a boy, would be it be a werewolf or a witch? Inquiring minds want to know.

I'm wondering about the whole Rachel thing too.  Based on their rules, Jeremy will decide Rachel has to die after she gives birth, right?  I can't imagine that Nick would put his mother at risk by outing her to Jeremy, especially for the sake of Rachel.  Rachel's not his girlfriend or anything and he barely knows her.  It will be interesting to see how this plays out.  I don't really care for Rachel though, so I won't mind having her off the show.  I can't really picture this group of guys plus Elena caring for a baby though so... who knows.  That would totally change the dynamic of the show I think.  I suspect either pregnant Rachel will bite it at some point or Rachel will manage to escape all of them.

 

I hope the witches survive!  I like them!  And I really like Paige and Nick together.

Oh yeah, I don't think Nick has any incentive to save Rachel and expose his mother, other than the fact that Logan is his packmate and friend. He could potentially insinuate that there are others who know they are werewolves and shocker! nothing has happened. It's kind of terrible that Jeremy is ok with the witches knowing because they have the power to combat any attack the pack brings at them, while Rachel is just human and so has to die. BARF. I hope that a) Jeremy realizes this is a a really shitty policy and b)that Logan and Rachel stay lost for awhile.

I kind of thought maybe Jeremy is okay with the witches knowing because they are ALSO supernatural and are keeping their identities secret as well.  So it was more of a mutual understanding - witches know about us and we know about them so it's mutually beneficial to keep each other's secrets.  Whereas humans have no such supernatural secret and no extra incentive to stay quiet like the witches do.  That was my take on it anyway, but maybe I missed something?

Best moment for me:  Shirtless Clay, although I was hoping for more.  Oh, darlin'.

Totally agree with your assessment!  When Cain showed back up and was going to join the Pack, I was so excited because I like his character (and I like the actor who also plays Sukor (sp?) on Defiance), and then they just kill him off in the stupidest way possible???  Seriously, just wait until the guy runs out of bullets again before you charge him.  Or if you're planning on a suicide mission, go into wolf form so you can be faster and harder to hit with a gun!  Stupid.

 

As for Elena's "death," I was pretty annoyed.  She's attacking Aleister and Clara's all "Grab the knife!" and Elena just stands there while he does it and stabs her??  How dumb can you get?

 

Also, they missed some awesome opportunities.  I thought for sure Clay was just going to kill Savannah to stop the undoing since the only person who <i>really</i> gave a crap about her was Elena and he thought Elena was dead.  Then I thought for sure that Aleister was going to kill Savannah before the undoing was complete which was going to be AWESOME!  But nope!  And then seriously, Elena decides to kill Aleister in the slowest manner possible??  Why not cut his throat with that knife that had been stabbed through her earlier?  Or snap his neck?  Or rip out his heart?  Just take your time, Elena, no rush!

2) Savannah wasn't the one that cast the spell.  Aleister cast it and Savannah was the "conduit" to pass it to the other witches.  Killing Aleister would stop the spell and killing Savannah would've broken the link to the other witches.

 

3) Not sure about the leech, though there were a couple scenes where Savannah was scratching at her arm where it was after (or maybe before) Aleister controlled her with his whole "I am the lock" thing.  There were also a couple scenes where you could see it moving under the skin, so maybe Elena saw it at some point?

 

4) Totally agree.  The way Cain was killed off was stupid and totally avoidable!

 

5) Agree with you here too!  Although the Pack doesn't seem to mind killing innocent humans since they will kill anyone who finds out their secret, so I'm sure they didn't mind killing mind-controlled humans.

Not a great return from Season 2, but it was ok.

 

Jeremy is consolidating his power and giving all the North American mutts an ultimatum -- join the pack or die.  Jeremy has become a bit of a dick in the process, something that even Elena acknowledges.  Not exactly thrilled that they went straight to torture in the first episode back.

 

The outcasts of the Spanish pack want their revenge and try and assassinate Jeremy and kill a redshirt wolf named Joey in the process .... blah, blah, blah.  How many times is this going to happen ?

 

I did like how when that assassin was trying to get away on motorcycle and tried to smash through that locked gate -- and failed.  That was actually realistic (versus the gate flying open as he hit it like in most shows on TV).

 

Rachel had baby Rocco, but is basically imprisoned in a house in Ithaca with Nick as her only conduit to the outside world.  That random electrical fluctuation in her house -- that is so not just a random electrical fluctuation, something else is going down.

 

Paige is still alive -- and hearing confessions from Elena.  I'm not sure why Elena is putting so much faith in her vision -- she's had visions before and they never really panned out.

 

On the plus side, Zachary Caine is still alive.

 

As for the whole Elena's daddy plot, how can a werewolf have a human child exactly ?  And aside from the Yukon, where has wolf-daddy been all this time ?  Was he always a wolf or was he bitten and turned like Elena ? Was Jeremy even aware of his existence ?  This seems to be foreshadowing a lot of pending retconning of Elena's story.

I missed most of last season due to the loss of Space channel and my disinclination towards streaming episodes. The previouslies caught me up fairly well though.

I was largely indifferent towards Logan but it sucks to be Rachel. Jeremy is still an ass and I have no problem buying other Wolves wanting him dead. Clay's hair is hideous. Maybe Stonehaven isn't the ideal base because enemies seem to have no trouble getting to the inhabitants. Might be time to consider a move.

I know she's the nice one and all, but if I had Elena's quickness and strength, and some brat threatened me, I'd knock her out with one punch before she could get that scream started. That was a dumb way to get that meeting underway. If Elena's bioDad is a werewolf I guess that's how she survived the transition.

Seems like a question with a simple answer...because Elena is a girl?  Only males inherit the werewolf DNA.  Since Elena is a female she was thus not born a wolf.  Hence why the whole killing the mother and taking the baby as part of the pack thing did not happen either.   However this development does potentially mean that maybe there was some small part of passive wolf DNA passed on from her father which explains her surviving the turn.   I guess it does potentially detract from her specialness if her survival was genetic instead of willpower/destiny or anything like that.

That really saddens me as her relationship with him was by far one of my favorite things about the first season.  So it's disappointing that they are now going to make them enemies.  But there was pretty much not a single thing that pointed in another direction other than the Spanish wolves who honestly just seem like a time waster while the main conflict is created.

 

- Jeremy easily beating down the assassin that Elena lost to.  Because he is stronger than her get it?

- Jeremy's treatment of Rachel as a prisoner with an implied threat that he may still have to deal with her.

- Jeremy's recruitment of unsavory wolves to join the pack (counter to the idea of the pack as family which Elena believe in).

- Jeremy's eye-for-an-eye justice which Elena disapproved of.

- Elena wanting to move on with her life with Clay...which Jeremy probably will likely not approve of at this time for reasons.

- Elena's father is not going to want to join the pack...thus Jeremy will want to kill him of course he will already want to kill Elena's sister for being a human who knows about werewolves.  There is no room for that by his werewolf laws and he is not about to make another exception like Rachel who is a proven ally.  Heck if anything this may change his stance on keeping Rachel alive.

- Elena's vision of herself bloody sitting in the chair...ie in power.

- Clay disagreeing with Jeremy's methods...since obviously the show wants him on Team Elena for more reasons than that he is her lover.

- The previously including the scene where Jeremy told Elena he considered killing her before she was turned.

- The previously showing Elena's dead fiance's head...did Jeremy in fact actually have a role in that?

 

At least adding all the mutts to the pack does give the show a fresh supply of cannon fodder to work with since they obviously can't kill any of the core 4 until around the finale...

Seems like a question with a simple answer...because Elena is a girl?  Only males inherit the werewolf DNA.  Since Elena is a female she was thus not born a wolf.  Hence why the whole killing the mother and taking the baby as part of the pack thing did not happen either.   However this development does potentially mean that maybe there was some small part of passive wolf DNA passed on from her father which explains her surviving the turn.   I guess it does potentially detract from her specialness if her survival was genetic instead of willpower/destiny or anything like that.

 

Intriguing theory, but you would think that someone else would have figured that out in the hundreds of years that werewolves have existed (in the Bitten-verse) since the witches created the werewolves.  And if it's true, then it does take away some of Elena's specialness that she is the only surviving human to have been turned.

 

Yeah...I have a bad feeling the writers may be going towards an Elena vs Jeremy endgame for control of the pack.   It certainly fits with her vision?

 

I think you're right -- It does kind of feel like that since we know that this is the final season, especially with Elena's conversation with Clay about her and others not happy with the new world order and complaints about the dictatorship of Jeremy.

With the witches gone, and the fact that they have killed off so many members of the original pack from S1 they really do need some new werewolf redshirts.  And now Joey is dead too -- what did he last all of 10 minutes in this episode.

 

Took at look at that map that Jeremy has on the wall in the basement -- who controls the two territories on the West Coast, and the territory around the Carolinas.  Shouldn't Jeremy be taking down the Alphas in those territories first vs. just going after the mutts ?

 

So, approx. seven months have elapsed since the end of last season.  I'm still curious how Zachary Caine is alive -- he was shot numerous times, and it didn't look good for him.  And werewolves have been killed by a lot less severe injuries -- like Logan.

 

Did they cut the episode budget this season ?  Because the wolf CGI looked at lot like the underwhelming Season 1 quality.

I'm in to the end, because I am a huge Laura V. fan, and the  tantalizing shots of shirtless/pantsless Clay.  Yumm.   Actually, the episode wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be, mainly because there was some forward plot action.  I do like Jeremy finally acting like a real alpha and (again, finally) understanding that increasing the size of the pack (from basically four?) may be a good idea.

So I wonder was that sex scene purely just to meet the show's sexy cheesecake quota...or could we be in for an Elena pregnancy story as well this season?   I believe that actually was a plot in one of the books?  Although unfortunately we probably won't get the fun Toronto zombie/necromancer plot that went with it.  It will just be another reason for her to want to get out from the constant battle of Jeremy's pack or to seek a close connection to her birth father and his family?

 

I guess we've now moved on from the Spanish to the Russians as the likely red herring villain of the season while the Jeremy conflict brews.

 

Seriously though what kind of odds are you giving Elena's adopted sorta sister to survive the season?  Personally I'm now leaning towards at least 95% odds someone is going to kill her to bring things to a head,

 

Will we ever get introduced to a new member of Jeremy's pack and see that pack member actually survive more than 1 episode?   Not looking too good at this point....  The writers are definitely enjoying their newfound cannon fodder.

 

Really enjoyed those fight scenes.  Would not mind if John Stead were to find employment with the CW for a show like Arrow after Bitten wraps, as some of their fight sequences have certainly been done less than stellar the past couple seasons.

Moscow -- two weeks ago.  Really ?  I guess that gives the Russian pack leader enough time to travel to Bear Valley to show up later in this episode.

 

How does that Russian Wolf know about witches ?  Last season Jeremy and the pack had no idea that witches even existed, yet here we are and this Russian werewolf seems to have known about witches all along.  Cough, cough, retcon, cough, cough.

 

Elena was adopted, and it turns out she was born in Russia.  And her half-brother is a werewolf who is only turning into a wolf now, but her half-sister is human.

 

I guess Jeremy isn't a big fan of the Blue Danube (but we know from previous episodes he does like classical music) as he gathers his troops to defend against the pending attack from the Spanish pack.

 

The fight between Elena and one of Eduardo's pack in the alley seemed really "acted".  Especially the Parkour-like moves by the Spanish pack guy before Sasha kills him.

 

Why would Elena have 3rd person memory flashbacks -- shouldn't they all be from her point of view ?  Plus, who took that photo ?

 

And all of this Elena's real family angst leads to sexytime with Clay on the kitchen table.  I hope they cleaned the table afterwards, before the next meal.  Otherwise, ewww !!

 

Clay sends a couple of redshirt mutts out to guard the gate and back of Stonehaven -- they don't even get lines, so I expect neither one will survive the episode.

 

I'm still curious how Sasha and his family found Elena on the streets of Bear Valley in the first place.  Sasha's daughter has photos of Elena on her phone identifying Elena as a photographer, but Elena only worked as a photographer in Toronto.  So how did they find her in Bear Valley, New York exactly ?

 

And the redshirt mutts barely make it to the halfway point in the episode before they are both killed by part of Eduardo's pack.  These guys are REALLY bad at detecting other wolves.

 

Meanwhile, as Elena preps dinner on the same table that she and Clay just banged on, another mutt named Bucky kind of comes on and seems rather threatening at the same time.  I'm sure that will end well since Jeremy discovers that Bucky is working for the Spanish pack.

 

Elena fights a member of the Spanish pack in the kitchen (who turns out to be Eduardo, head of the Spanish pack, and knocks him out with a frying pan), Clay fights Bucky in Jeremy's office and is then attacked by another Spanish pack member with a gun, that Elena stabs to death.  So in the 3 months since the end of last season, Jeremy couldn't be bothered to install any kind of security cameras/motion detectors at Stonehaven -- this place has worse security than Star Labs on The Flash or the Green Arrow's lair on Arrow.

 

Roman the Russian wolf from the opening scene of the episode (from two weeks ago in Moscow) shows up at Stonehaven right after the fight -- does nobody on this show know to call first before visiting.  How timely ?  And to absolutely no surprise -- Roman is looking for Elena's father.

 

Elena has a web site -- since when ?  And it has a message board.  Has this even been mentioned before in the series ?

 

Roman and Jeremy takes turns beating Eduardo, while Sasha gives Elena a family history lesson.  And as Eduardo sows seeds of doubt in Jeremy's mind (as well as some bullshit about the fact that Jeremy doesn't have any real children for a legacy, whatever), Roman kills Eduardo.  And seems to enjoy killing Eduardo a little too much, almost like he is overselling it to Jeremy to confirm his loyalty.

 

Seriously, Sasha whips out the baby shoe of days past that he has been carrying for 30 years, and Elena instantly latches onto it as some treasured memento -- even though she has no idea if it's real or not.  Sasha tells Elena that Roman killed her real mother, and Elena tells Sasha that Roman is at Stonehaven.  That's all a little to coincidental.

 

Sasha has a tattoo of Elena's birthday on his left forearm that Sasha confirms as the day his life changed -- but he apparently doesn't have tattoos of the birthdates of his other two children. That's kind of a shitty move.

So, I gave up on S2, trying again with S3, and it's still the bloodiest most violent show. And clearly Jeremy did some deal with Roman, promising him Sasha's head in return for a few favors, right?

 

Were the books this intense? I don't remember them being quite so...bloody. But then again, it's a lot easier to flip pages.

ottoDbusdriver, thanks for listing all the points I would have, had I actually cared enough to do so.  I thought the episode was ok, mainly because of the (alas, too brief) Clay skin shots (yumm).  I like how Jeremy is acting this season (somehow, more alpha-like), although it's pretty funny how ineffective the pack is in protecting its home.  I hope the Roman/Sasha thing is explained soon.

Not necessarily?  I mean the Russian wolf was the leader of an entirely different pack in another country...a country known for its magic practicing Gypsies I might add.  So I don't see why its out of the question that he could have different experiences and knowledge that Jeremy's little American pack?

The wolf Sasha captured last episode told him about Danvers pack in Stonehaven, and that the female wolf Elena Michaels was part of the pack.  So from there finding her in the small nearby town of Bear Valley does not seem all that difficult.   As for the photography thing there are two possibilities the first is that she just never updated her profile information as she did not want to put "unemployed".  The second is that she still may do minor photography jobs in Bear Valley to pay bills and its just not important enough to be shown during the brief look-ins we get during which the show takes place.

Well given that she was an independent photographer it only makes sense that she had a website to show off her work and allow people to contact her.

Why?  I see no reason why in vaguely trying to recall something someone could not picture it either way?  Actually the more I think about the more I believe that 3rd person is probably more common than 1st person when remembering something.  I mean think about a big day in your life like going to Prom, your Wedding, or something like that that.  Are you really picturing it from the viewpoint of looking out your own eyeballs, or are you not also picturing yourself on the dance floor, at the altar etc as others would have seen you?

Jeremy seems fairly technology averse.  There seems to be no sign of anything like a computer or telephone or anything like that on the premises of Stonehaven.  So it really is not surprising that he would not install any kind of high-tech security system.  Besides he has a bit of an ego where he probably did not think many would dare attack him now that he is rebuilding the pack up to strength.

Well first we now know they aren't actually his children.  He wasn't a part of their lives on the days they were born.  Potentially the day he met them was the day their mother was torn to shreds....not something to easily tastefully commemorate?  Also the way he explained it was that date he tattooed changed him.  So it's really not so much that he was just commemorating the birth of the daughter, but an event that made him a better person.  The same can't be said for the birthdays of the other two.

Got to admit -- was a little bored by this episode. It only got interesting at the very end when Jeremy shut down Roman and refused to hand over Sasha Antonov or Sasha's family.

There was WAY too much of Sasha's family angst.

And for some reason the former Sheriff of Bear Valley is back and seemed to be coming on to Jeremy (and was way too interested in what Jeremy was buying at the hardware store), and seemed to still be acting like a sheriff when she broke up a heated argument between a civilian and a member of Roman's pack.

One moment that made me chuckle was when Clay made a sandwich for Alexei (Sasha's son) in the kitchen at Stonehaven.

Alexei: "I can't believe how hungry I am."

Clay: "Get used to it."

Alexei: "Ya got any ketchup ?"

Clay: "That's chicken salad."

Alexei: "I like it on everything."

Clay: "We don't have ketchup."

The lone scene of wolf CGI was pretty bad -- and the wolf was taken down so easy by Sasha with a little knife it really makes anyone changing into wolf form seem like a pretty stupid idea.

Seriously Sasha, the double-tap rule applies to zombies AND werewolves. He never even checked for a pulse after taking down that Russian wolf.
