What was that weirdness with Tasha and Keaton? I find it highly suspicious, like they were putting on an act for the team. I don't get it.

It really felt like it was some weird act that would end up with Tasha being hired by Crawford while she was secretly undercover. It looked fakety fake.

Flashback to South Africa because Remi and Roman are playing mancala on mudcloth upholstered chairs. Really show? Oy. Shepard was the worst mother this side of Livia Soprano, the Great Santini, and John Winchester. Though I'm still getting weird vibes that Roman is actually Avery's father. Ugh.

How is it that the presidents of two foreign nations didn't have their own security teams? Even a little bit of lip service about why their teams weren't present would have been nice.

Tasha and Keaton were strange.

I continue to love Rich, in moderate doses.

I thought it was an act, too! But I guess Keaton was covering himself by throwing her under the bus? That whole thing was weird. Did the FBI team know about her gambling issues? Because if not, then I guess their argument was real?

I loved playing mancala as a kid so I was happy to see that. :P

I'm still leaning toward Oscar being Avery's father, though I don't see the surprise in that (unless... was his body recovered from the fire? Maybe he'll return like Borden did, lol). But I do wonder if the show will go into full-on squick territory, lol.

Jane was taking pain pills and complaining of a headache... perhaps she has the same issue that Roman has? And what is it, exactly? Is it due to their traumatic upbringing and/or a side effect of the ZIP? Jane's been shown to be stronger than Roman, so perhaps that's why he's been affected first. I'm still worried Roman will be killed off but maybe that's a way for them to reunite, working to find a cure for whatever issue he/they have. I liked the part where Jane said that she's no longer Remi, so Roman's not her other half anymore... ties in with the fact that they all call her Jane even after they've learned her real name. Is it possible for Roman to evolve as well? Not that it matters... considering what he's done, he won't be walking free even if he turns good again.

Reade and Zapata finally got together... yay. I'm just happy the "will they, won't they" stuff is done (for now). After three seasons, I've realized that I can't stand the breathy voice Zapata's actress does.

I had seen an article headline before watching this episode that said that the team lost one of theirs, so I spent most of the episode being nervous for Zapata, Reade, and Rich (who is the one of the team not played by a series regular). About two minutes before the end it occurred to me that Zapata's firing would qualify.

Does Roman understand what Crawford was after with those assassinations? Because he's been spouting this nonsense about how Crawford is going to make the world better with a global peacekeeping army or some such tripe, but all this was just for Crawford to make himself even richer. So does Roman not know about the oil pipeline, even though Lynette (the Jennifer Esposito character) said that Crawford can't shut up about it, or is he still somehow hopelessly naive and thinking that Crawford will use the extra billions to then form his army?

And how stupid is Lynette? She didn't think that using her wife's credentials would come back on her wife in any way? I hope she's prepared for the land speed record with which her wife will file for divorce when she finds that out.

Why isn't Blake being tracked by the FBI, CIA, etc.? They know she's in a relationship with Roman. She's traveling in the United States setting up stuff like charity balls, so she's quite publicly visible and easy to track. They could find Roman in two seconds if they just looked for Blake. On a related note, I keep waiting for Blake to prove to be bad and totally in cahoots with her father all along. We finally saw a small break in the pure-sweetness-and-light routine we've endured all season long when she started strong-arming the hotel guy. More of that, please, and let's just get done with the inevitable reveal.

The entire time Shepherd was speaking I kept waiting for her true motive to be revealed. I still don't believe a word she babbled about her greatest regret being trying to tear her two children apart, etc. All the tears and her quavery voice and shaky demeanor? Please. Zapata mentioned that none of the torture worked on her, so she hasn't been broken. Michelle Hurd did a great job with her scene, but my heart was stone. Shepherd's up to something, like always. (And since the Cagney & Lacey reboot has been passed over, Hurd is available for future appearances on this show...)

Finally, I had to laugh when Roman was muttering "Jane" as in "she defeated me again!" No, it wasn't Jane, Roman. It was Patterson. Patterson figured out that the UN thing was a decoy, Patterson made Lynette spill the beans about the pipeline, Patterson directed Jane and Weller in how to get the world leaders to safety. It was Patterson, Roman! Surely you must know she's the smartest one!

What was the affliction Roman has? Is it something we've heard of before? I can't shake the feeling that Jane will end up in the same kind of way as Roman and they'll need each other to have a chance at living. Am I wrong?

These preview writers need a dictionary / thesaurus....Jane confronts / interrogates Shepherd..not recruits

I hope Shepherd hasn't somehow connected Remi and Roman with her super high tech stuff and if one dies, the other dies.

They really wanted us to be shocked that Shepard is back, right? That's a bit of a problem when you clearly already got the actress back for the flashback scenes...
