Hooray! Mrs. Baskets is back. I love Christine, but I want to slap Chip & Dale silly. It's amazing they managed to live this long. I think Louie could carry the entire show by himself, if he hasn't already.

Dale is best in very small doses. I would love it if this show became primarily a buddy comedy about Christine and Martha.

Ugh. The first episode in and I'm feeling overwhelmed for Christine. First, the shitty, mean ladies with whom she plays cards dumping all over her followed by her two idiotic sons already hellbent on bankrupting her through their incompetence. I did cheer for her when she went back to reclaim her wedding dress which was, in fact, quite lovely! But come on show, Christine needs a win here!

Agreed!

Does anyone remember if they ever mentioned why Dale speaks with a Southern accent? If they did explore that, I'm totally drawing a blank as to the reason why.

I don't recall them ever talking about his accent. Maybe I'm wrong.

I too am worried for Christine, but at least she has her gentleman friend. I can't remember his name, but he's so sweet and supportive.

I hope Kablammo comes to work at the Baskets Family Rodeo, minus her farting act.

I liked Christine's name plate saying she was the "Ro-de-Owner."

For me the funniest thing was when she was talking to Martha about sewing and said, "I even got caught up in the doily craze for a while."

The newscast chyron said "New Owners and Twice As Many Water Fountains."

I rewatched late last night/early this morning because when I was watching it live via streaming,  the cats demanded food and I missed the segment in which Chip goes looking for more horse tranquilizer and ends up at the vet's house. Gold.

I noticed that the bags that Christine had ready for Goodwill had Costco logos on them. Of course. That got me remembering that Martha is still just hanging around and she met Chip because she was his Costco insurance agent. I wouldn't really say they are "friends". This show is bananas.

The dress Christine made...no words. I love how enthusiastic and supportive Ken is.

Yeah, what is with the cast? How long is she going to wear that thing?? Do we know what the injury is supposed to be?

I don't enjoy the degree to which everyone dumps on Martha and she just takes it. It's too much.

I don't know, she seems pretty self aware and doesn't seem to care about some of the comments (although her reactions to some of the real obtuse comments are awesome).  I think she understands the social limitations of this family and still chooses to hang out with them.  I love the arm cast too.  No explanation, no one reacts or asks about her healing, etc.

Wow, I had totally forgotten about this show until a friend reminded me how funny it is, I had only watched a couple of episodes last year. I did see the first season and loved it.  This is the funniest show on television that nobody watches. I pee peed all over my tiny pink panties it was so good the other night. Christine rules, and now I understand why Louis won an Emmy last year. Christine can sew on a button, she can buy a rodeo, she's on the 4:00 News, she probably even knows how to transfer a call, she's a totally modern woman!  And and and, she will totally rock wearing her old wedding dress during her big 4:00 News interview!
