S04.E03: Grow A Deer, A Female Deer

When poachers almost kill a pregnant endangered deer, the team recreates the animal's womb to try to save her and her baby's life.  Also,  Happy and Toby discuss the future of their family.

I loved this episode. It totally felt like something vintage MacGyver would have done. It's so cute Ralph has a crush. I can't wait for the team to offer dating/love advice, after he asks for it.

I agree Sarah 103.  I laughed out loud when they were running low through the grass at Doc's comment about politicians. There was something different about this episode.  The characters were more endearing and real. in this episode  I even like Doc's dumb jokes and that they are continuing with that aspect of his character. There are people in my family who tell stupid jokes that make you wince yet you appreciate the attempts / characters.

I always thought Katharine did a good job with showing her character's love and concern for her son.  That came through in the ending scenes.

Agree with both of you.  And I also liked the scenes where we see "Paige" exhibit her fear (and jealousy) about Ralph growing up.  Only thing I'm already tired of is Paige warning Walter that she will no longer be his "girlfriend" if he doesn't do what she wants.  I know they're only one-liners, but it still annoys me.

Sayla Vee, I agree about Paige's one-liners to Walter.  They are really annoying. It began with with season 3 finale and the comment about mama having needs. Ewww!

Yea! - I honestly thought there'd be more bashing; so glad I'm not the only one that liked it.  Maybe the show works best when it doesn't take itself to seriously, but what I liked was the characters - they all got to do something:  Toby and his one liners, Walter channeling Cabe (and coming across like David Caruso circa CSI Miami), everything Sylvester.  The funniest part though was everyone invading the headquarters at once and Cabe's repeated "I don't know" as each asked who Patty was.

 This was my favorite part because it took me a minute to figure it out LOL (I was thinking "why is he wearing those sunglasses") and Elyes Gabel seemed to be having fun with it.  Toby "Sorry I couldn't hear you over the sunglasses" hee !

Cabe not knowing who Patty was at the end was good too.  Ralph's dreamy crush face was cute. 

I liked it, it was fun.  I did feel a little sad about Sylvester's "Bosco" story.

I've been feeling a little "over" Scorpion and almost didn't DVR it this week but this discussion makes me glad I gave it another chance.   This sounds promising!

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with the show.  The first act is almost always so cringe-inducing I'm tempted to fast-forward it, except that there are plot points I'd miss.  This episode was different and I was impressed.

Then again I can't hate a show that featured the XB-70, even if it was only CGI :)

This team could really benefit from finding a legal genius to befriend.

Yes, the comments here convinced me to watch, but I'm not sure it was worth it.

I enjoyed this episode more than the first two from this season, but I'd still be perfectly fine if it went away for good.

It's starting to feel formulaic.  Find a way to put their lives in danger and a way to get out.
