No, Holly is not Kristen Crazy ... but the crap she's put Tate through is. Not immediately exonerating him over the drug use mess that sent him to jail and rehab? Letting him lie to his father and hide in a shack all summer...without any sex to show for it? Yeesh. She's been toying with him and using him and messing with his head from the beginning. I get that she's a teen, I get that she wasn't sure how she felt about him, but...cripes!

If I was his buddy, I'd absolutely be saying "dude, she's crazy, let it go!"

He was supposed to (with Wendy making an appearance, as well), but I guess that they scrapped it.

I'm not sure that Li was ever coming back.  There was speculation because he was in one of the cast photos long after he was killed. (Was it the 15K photo?)  Everyone was like, oooh, ahhh, he's still taping.  I think we got snookered because of DOOL's erratic taping schedule.  I think Remington was there for one of Connie's last scenes (as the Li Ghost), which aired weeks (months?) before Episode 15K.  

Since they tape so far in advance, in a given week, they could tape scenes set to air in 8 months or scenes set to air in 4 months. I have heard that scenes are often filmed way out of order. That's probably why we saw Li and Connie in that cast photo.

Perhaps there were plans to build on the Wendy - Li relationship.  The show certainly seemed to lay out the strong probability that Li was actually Wendy's father, but it appears that the producers opted (for now) to make Li Shin dead-dead.

Li had a scene alone where he alluded to telling Wendy the truth, or something like that.  I don't recall that he was explicit about what  truth.  I think it was a day or two before he was killed.

It makes sense they recast Rachel then. This actress is good (and reminds me of how Star on One Life to Live was as a child), but this material might be beyond her. They'll need a child actor on the level of Douglas from Bold and the Beautiful, who put in some amazing performances.

Paul and Eric said the new Rachel is the best actress on the show. They are thrilled with her. The new writers are exploring Sarah's relationship with her, something Ron never gave a second thought too.

Well considering Ron isn't writing the show anymore maybe the show will surprise me and undo Rachel being their daughter and all that goes with it.

This ties into my theory that they might undo the Rachel/Mackenzie story(at least I hope so). It was absurd that Nicole ended up lying for nothing.

I still think it's funny that they've got Susan as this Baby Boomer grandma with fully grown grandchildren but Kristen's walking around with a young daughter. They're supposed to be more or less the same age!

I actually think Eric Martsolf would do really good with that kind of material. It would rip Brady up fully and completely.

I'm not sure what Kristen's age is at that point as they seemed to have deaged her with Stacy's version but if one takes care of themselves etc it can be done. However yes I agree it seemed like the show wanted an excuse to break up Eric/Nicole(when they could've just admitted that their relationship is toxic and they should just stay good friends)

I would like Shawn/Jada if I thought the show were going to pair these two long term but I don't see that happening. 

Putting that aside I actually like the Holly/Maggie spoiler. Now Holly's love life isn't that interesting or anything but it reminds me of Days past with the intergenerational storytelling where Hope or Jennifer used to talk to Alice about their romantic troubles.

I seem to only log on here when an actor dies.  So today it is because of Buffy actress, Michelle Trachtenberg's death.  The last time I posted it was about Drake, who I still have trouble believing is gone.  Thinking of Drake got me wondering.   Do you guys know when Days will be airing John's funeral / Drake's tribute?

I don't think this show can overdo John's death.

This is the biggest "still viable" character death they've ever had. John and Marlena are largely the face of the show. They've sobbed over each other for decades now. If this is the real end of them, with no resurrections, it'll need to be bigger.

If they try to handle it like they did Doug or Victor, they'll miss the mark. Hate to say it but Marlena, Brady, Belle and Steve need to be utterly destroyed by his passing for a few weeks or it'll seem swept under the rug.

Yeah I agree with that. I mean Doug and Victor were both important characters but their deaths were expected given their age and the declining health they both had over the years. They also were more supporting characters compared to John who was still a lead at his age.

I don't care for Ron writing this though(at least I hope most of it is written by someone else entirely).
