Also, Meg and Peter were fun as one-liner machines since it was a Chris plot. And once again, Stewie and Brian barely got to do anything (we didn't miss much this time, thankfully).

I can believe that Meg can see the dead and travels through a portal to hell, and I liked Peter just reacting so terribly to celebrity financial troubles.

I couldn't stop thinking about what would happen when Lois reached for a towel (which was part of Quagmire's camouflage) when she stepped out of the shower.

Anthology episode time! This time it's about Dream Jobs.

First up, the show tackled a Bond parody, something American Dad beat them to (checks watch) 16 years ago. I did like all the Vegas jokes. And jeez, only this show could drop a reference to the Mandalay Bay shooter.

I liked them taking advantage of Disney synergy and having Peter using Captain America's shield and Kylo Ren's lightsaber, and having everyone comment on it.

Liked seeing Donna in the M role. And of course Stewie is Blofeld.

I liked Quagmire as the inventor of aerobics, with Jane Fonda stealing his thunder.

Yeah, got a kick out of the 80s production logo jokes. Why were they all so grainy and depressing?!

And we got Cleveland and Joe as cops. So, of course, Lethal Weapon spoof.

I can't imagine they weren't spoofing actual logos because they were so spot on. This was my favorite segment because of the 80s, but evil Jane Fonda (Rachel) and her legwarmers is almost an American Dad plot. With spot on Mama Celeste cameo. 

The crack about getting lost in the casino is personal because I always get turned around when I'm there for a conference. The casino doesn't want to lead you to the office spaces. 

All the racist jokes for the final segment were funny too. I thought the joke was the pitcher of red or grape kool aid with no top than the pitcher of iced tea.

Not even the Manatees wanted Meg. Once again, something good happens to Meg and Peter comes in to exploit her new job.

We finally get a Brian & Stewie plot! They run a coffee shop. Of course, it changes hands to the person who has the best pun name, and is legally required to play Cheryl Crow's worst songs. Loved the Chase bashing commercial. 

What gets you canceled in Quahog: Tweeting that you love Abbott Elementary without using all caps, and trying to slide into AOC's DMs ("She's hot, but we're supposed to pretend she's not!")

I will give this one credit for having Meg call out how Peter’s repeated apologies and promises to treat her better are basically worthless.

Great callback to the old Folgers coffee commercials. I guess you really can't tell the difference! Great cheap shots at those big bank commercials for small businesses. Of course, Peter finds a way to ruin another job of Meg's, but at least the show acknowledged Peter never changes his treatment of her.

And poor Meg, being left on ring on Facetime even with Brad Pitt with her.

I enjoyed the self-aware song about how hard it is to make a movie, and this very show.

I found myself looking at the clock while watching. It was an OK ep, but not very interersting.

Having Brad Pitt as a character (not the real voice obviously) given the timing of all that stuff that’s come out was…a choice. Props to the show for not avoiding said allegations though.

I find it interesting that an animated show was strike shortened on the back end, unlike the live actions which lost time at the season start.

Once again, Brian gets a human girlfriend. But for once, it's a vet that's around dogs. Perfect in every way EXCEPT she's an evangelical Christian. And of course, he was horny and she wouldn't have sex with him and he made it everyone's problem. 

And thanks to Road to The Multiverse, we know what happens when there's no Christianity: super advanced science and yet there's still a Sistine Chapel, but Andre The Giant is on the ceiling. But this time, everyone's Jewish.

Honestly, they could've done more with God forcing religion as a fixed point of time outside of playing that card in the last two minutes of the episode.

And I was expecting the timeline where Stewie paid Moses to walk away would've caused everyone to be Muslim instead.

I enjoyed this one but it should have been a two-parter because the resolution seemed a bit rushed after all the time they spent on the setup. That said, I am tired of the trope of the world being a better place without religion (Christianity).

What kind of chip did Brian get?! The chip is microscopic and you use a needle. The chip paid off though. 

Showing the USA goal was brilliant. So great. 

I always like when they do dog plots with Brian. 

I'm not sure stopping Jesus is the key to stopping christianity. It wasn't his fault. I thought it would have been funnier if "Jesus" wasn't actually one person but a whole bunch so he couldn't ever stop it. 

That said, all the jokes in the past were brilliant. You don't normally hear the Loggins and Messina version of Danny's song over the Anne Murray either.

I thought maybe when they came back that the world without religion would somehow be really worse, so status quo would be preferable. I liked that it was fine. 

That's it? God just beat them up?

I think they held back. I'm all in for an anti religion message. They should have gone to the wall and really skewered it.

Maybe cutting back, but I doubt it's too expensive to produce, and it's still consistent in ratings. I don't see the need to end it.

Seth might be ready to wind it down. He voices half the characters and he’s got a lot of other projects going on.

That's why I figured the move like American Dad. I mean, don't not turn down easy money if you can still swing it. Both are still good shows with solid ratings.

Watched it on Christmas Eve.  I prefer the days when Stewie called Santa, Klaus, and Lois was climbing Christmas trees a la King Kong on the Empire State Building, but it fit in well with my annual screenings of The Little Drummer Boy, Frosty, The Grinch, Rudolph, and Charlie Brown.

What can I say, I'm a Rankin-Bass kid.
