If I drank, and had a shot for every time she said, "I'm scared," I'd be dead of alcohol poisoning. Scared of WHAT? And worked hard at WHAT? She has turned Dillon into a freak. She's a freak. Joe is at least losing weight and seems to have an upbeat attitude. I doubt his dream marriage will last, not that he doesn't think he's found the love of his life, but because he is so woefully unfit to live in it. I put off watching too for the same reasons. I feel so much for Dillon -- his life was done before it started. And his mother is oblivious. She pretends she cares about him because that's what society expects from a mother so it's all an act IMO. Pauline only cares about Pauline. On an FB post she documented mental illnesses she says have been diagnosed. I don't know, but one she didn't list of narcissitic personality disorder which from this non-expert, fits her to a tee. And Joe, I like him. His "trauma" was being ignored by his dad. Raised by his mom and two (?) sisters. Maybe that's why he comes across as feminine. Odd though, that the sisters weren't mentioned at all in the update. Even to help mom get to the wedding. He seemed very close to them in his original episode. 1 Link to comment

I sure could be wrong since I kind of binged on the oversized episodes yesterday and may not have the "journeys" straight. I never liked my SIL, though after 30 years we've both mellowed. I sure would have helped my mom to get to that wedding. Because it's mom! So, maybe one sister was there if I have it all straight. All these people are odd. 1 Link to comment

TicketToHellPaid June 1, 2017 Share June 1, 2017 I think the baby died this past fall, not 2015. I went through all her stuff as wellawhile ago. I am pretty sure she was pregnant when she met Joe, they just left that out, baby had a look I've never seen but it wasn't Jolene's. and yep they had a go fund me up faster than I could type it for their wedding. Sarah. Is weird, she was all over Facebook threatening women for talking to him or cheering him on. She made sure everyone knew Jolene was her man/woman. I think she thinks this is her big moment too but once the cameras leave she will too and probably be pregnant with another man's baby. People actually paid to watch her. Link to comment
TicketToHellPaid June 1, 2017 Share June 1, 2017 (edited) I am re watching, Sarah was pregnant during filming and when she met Jolene, as I said earlier this was made known on her Facebook. In the almost 3 years of filming she had the baby after this episode was filmed and then 5-6 months later it died. That is why they only talk about Haylee. I assume she and he or both did not want it brought up. I haven't checked their FB's in awhile but that is went on. funny thing though, I do not picture her having sex with Jolene. I wonder if they do. Jo maybe the only one not getting her. Edited June 1, 2017 by TicketToHellPaid 2 Link to comment

Otter June 1, 2017 Share June 1, 2017 If you look at Sarah's twitter at the time the baby died, it was around Thanksgiving. Of course a gofundme was set up to pay for the funeral. Tragic. But not to Sarah. In the next few days she's flirting with the local semi-pro hockey team. She loves hockey. *rolleyes* I don't like to judge how people grieve, but this twitter stuff was just disturbing. 3 Link to comment

Joe and Sarah obviously weren't getting that because they were constantly begging for money with their GoFundMe accounts. I didn't think Pauline was on SSI. This is year 3 of her on my 600lb life and before that she was on several other shows. Correct me if I'm wrong or word this improperly but wasn't she into the fat fetish porn business? and poor Dillion was somehow involved? I wondered if this business had ended for her but just her taking her time in her "journey" and she never seemed worried about housing, food, or the treat bags, I think she still has some income saved or coming in from this source. I wondered how Joe could travel so much, but I felt he was more likely to be on disability. He had a real job, in IT or computers before his first surgery. He could have disability via his employer which is in most cases better than SSI. Link to comment

I've been lurking here forever, but I finally joined so I could comment on Joe...Something about the way Joe is with Sarah's daughter feels almost seems creepy to me. He barely knew the child when he started talking about being her Dad. I know that lots of step parents ARE Mom or Dad, but this guy had met his internet girlfriend what, one time and he's calling himself Daddy. It doesn't work that way. When he and Sarah were sitting outside (on a swing I think?) and he got up and grabbed Haylee, she looked anything but happy. The look on her face made me really sad for Haylee. I think that all the Daddy/Daughter stuff is for the cameras, and when the cameras are gone he and Sarah leave the parenting on Sarah's Mom. Really, I would be shocked to find out that Joe is the first "new Daddy" that she's had drug into her life. Sarah was too quick to move her new internet boyfriend in and marry him, I doubt he was the first. In his original episode I didn't mind Joe, until he dumped his Mom. He ate himself to the point of convalescence and then expected his Mom to take care of him, even dragging her across the country to take care of him. Then as soon as he's mobile he dumps Mom to run off with his internet girlfriend. I know being a caregiver is hard, I was my great aunt and grandmother's caregiver for almost 10 years(until her death in October) and I'm still my aunt's caregiver (she's developmentally disabled and will never live independently) It's one of the hardest things I've ever done, and it's really hard on relationships, but to me the way Joe treated his mom after Sarah came into the picture says a lot about the kind of man he is. Her too, for that matter. I would've been done with him when he shipped his Mom home for someone else to take care of. Then he couldn't even be bothered to help the poor woman get to his wedding...I was screaming at the TV, we know he had no job, why couldn't he go "help" his mom make the trip? From what I've seen of them, I think Joe and Sarah are both pretty selfish and worthless. That could have something to do with his sister not being around for the update too. If I was her I probably wouldn't want to be around him either. 12 Link to comment

I thought it was just me, but I thought so too. I know that obese men can tend to have higher than normal estrogen and lower testosterone, so I figured as he lost the weight he'd look more masculine but it seemed the opposite with Joe. The more weight he lost the more feminine he looked. Someone mentioned he was wearing eye makeup, but I didn't notice that. I may just have to watch again and pay closer attention. Link to comment
chopperchopperbell June 6, 2017 Share June 6, 2017 Dillon looked like a prisoner to me. He can't get out from under his mother's thumb, and the depression was palpable. I actually felt worse for him than I did for Pauline. He has his whole life ahead of him. The big wedding for Joe was dumb. I got married at the courthhouse 20 (almost 21) years ago, and I've never had any regrets. People who don't have jobs should not insist on a big wedding. That being said, Joe seemed like he was a kind (albeit naive) person. His mother seemed mentally stunted. I feel like a lot of these people are trapped by depression/mental illness/developmental disabilities. It's like they're trapped and just can't think of a way to get out. 2 Link to comment
gigiann June 6, 2017 Share June 6, 2017 I re-watched this episode again last night and something I noticed drove me out of my mind (other than the usual crap by Pauline and Joe). EVERY single time you see Dillon walking around or even sitting, he is tugging at the front of his T-Shirt....trying to hide his belly? manboobs? He is so obviously insecure and self conscientious. Poor guy, he has grown up with such a horrible mother. Pauline with her .... Dilly, drinky, tummy baby talk. And about Joe -- SMH.....how freaking rude can he be to his mother!!! She gave up her home and family to get him to Houston for a shot at losing weight. He travels back and forth (have no clue where he got the money) to see Sarah several times at least and he cant go help him Mom get to IA for the wedding or pay the flight for a friend or family member to help her???? SELFISH creep. I did see his sister in the scene when Mom showed up for the rehearsal dinner. So she obviously helped Mom. The scene when Joe and Sarah were discussing what to do over the next year.....of course it involved leaching off Sarah's family for at least another year...He talked about looking for a job, so he obviously didn't have one yet. So his bloating comments about being a man, husband and father and taking responsibility become hogwash to me. BIG TALK.....little action. Thank you for letting me vent 9 Link to comment

I totally agree Granny.....no way the parents should help out those 2 (Joe and Sarah) by letting them live there rent free.....PLUS giving them a wedding when neither one of them works AND PLUS....I read here that Sarah WAS pregnant at the time of her marriage to Joe by some other man. Her parents should tell Joe...hey she is yours now! 4 Link to comment

BTW, did anyone notice in the Supersized episode that the pop-up said that Sarah wanted to invite 140 people to the wedding? I don't know exactly how many guests showed up but with a guest list of 140, the cost of food, drink, the wedding cake, renting the space, etc. would add up to an amount easily into five figures. In the Washington, DC--Metropolitan area a basic wedding cake for that many people would run about $700.00 ($5.00 per slice is the average cost here). Also interesting to note that Joe said that he and Sarah flew to Houston for his last weigh in with Dr. Now. Makes me wonder why did both of them have to go for a brief doctor's appointment and how could they afford two roundtrip airline tickets but not bother to help Joe's mother get to the wedding. Two very selfish wastes of space. 3 Link to comment

ethalfrida June 21, 2017 Share June 21, 2017 I dislike Pauline as much as I do Penny and Marla. In fact, most of those people are selfish and mentally disturbed. Especially her... she kept saying she had to do it her way. What way would that be? I sincerely hope Dillon escapes her annoying clutches soon. Link to comment
