Yes, that's why I was focusing on what the promo said. Some people thought they would announce the end of the series that way. I genuinely didn't think I cared one way of the other until the promo came on.

Not just you, and it was deliberate.  When Emma's wedding dress was first being planned, both Jennifer and the producers decided to go with Princess Grace's wedding dress as inspiration as a shout-out to THAT "fairy tale" wedding.

They announced the Castle series finale as the "season finale" too.  It's the same case: the network heads haven't decided yet.
