Weirdly enough my dad's organs migrated due problems with his esophagus. He had a couple of surgeries years apart and the last one changed his life in not so good of a way. He was in his 80's for that one.

Hoping Amy's youngish husband has a better outcome.

Diaphragms rupture usually due to significant blunt force trauma.  Think hitting the upper abdomen on the steering wheel without airbags in a collision.  It's usually a life threatening, go to the OR STAT type problem.  Also extremely painful and breathing very difficult, often requiring intubation and a breathing tube.  Dillon didn't look all that uncomfortable to me.

As for his organs being 'displaced', she has no idea what she is talking about.  His right kidney would first have to detach itself from the ureters leading to the bladder as well as the very large renal artery and vein which hold it next to the aorta and vena cava. The kidney is rather tightly tethered and doesn't move around enough to go far, let alone evade the multiple other organs that are between it and the diaphragm. It would also have to bust through the peritoneum which is the lining that covers the abdominal cavity because kidneys are retroperitoneal, located behind the actual peritoneum.  If his kidney migrated around his large and small intestines and then navigated around his liver to enter his chest, it must have tiny feet that most kidneys do not have.

As far as organs being 'displaced', if there is a tear in his diaphragm, it could cause the colon and appendix, which have more mobility to move toward the opening or even through it into the chest.  The solution is to repair the hole in the diaphragm.  This can usually be done with a scope and, while tricky, is not terribly life threatening in a young otherwise healthy person.

I presume Amy is playing up the drama and the peril in order to drive donors to the Go Fund Me that she will inevitably be setting up.
