S05.E10: Goosebumps Walkaway

Winston and Cece help Schmidt get over his fear of public dancing. Jess returns from jury duty and attempts to uncover the real identity of a juror sequestered with her. Meanwhile, Reagan prepares to move out of the loft and out of Nick's life, as New Girl celebrates its 100th episode with Zooey Deschanel's return as Jessica Day and the conclusion of Megan Fox's special guest arc.

Goosebumps Walkaway is actually a pretty clever term. Good job, Nick!

 

I like Jess, but I didn't miss her when she was gone. She was a little too manic for me tonight. I liked her dynamic with Reagan, though. I think the show benefited from having one "straight man" style character these past few episodes, because everyone else has gotten kind of silly lately, even Cece.

 

I could not stop laughing at "No complaints here, fatty."

I also like that Jess won over Reagan.  And one relationship worked out and one didn't which seems like par for the course.

This episode was pretty limp, considering it was the 100th. Kind of a waste of Demetri Martin, and a weird note for Reagan to go out on. I expected Jess's return to be...more.

I was meh about the other juror. I wanted Jess with John Cho dangit!

I loved Nick talking to his reflection.

Everything about the dancing was hilarious. "No complaints here Fatty!" 

 

Reagan was alright. I still do not totally understand why she was here, but she was fine. Glad that Jess is back. The juror guy was pretty meh. Where is John Cho? I was promised John Cho!

Kind of a waste of Demetri Martin

 

Is that who that was? I was trying to place him but couldn't quite put my finger on it. He seems to have gotten kind of . . . doughy? And yeah - what happened to John Cho? Talk about a downgrade. But I loved Nick's antics out on the golf course (or whatever it was) trying to get the guy's name from the other juror. 

 

I'm glad Jess is back and wow, Zoey really lost the pregnancy weight quickly. I prefer her silly antics to Megan Fox's robotic, emotionless character. Order is restored. LOL on the t-shirts she brought back for everyone.

 

Have they used that kid before to play teenaged Schmidt? I don't remember seeing him but it was a pretty good casting job.

I was also let down by no John Cho. Nothing against Demetri Martin, but a promise is a promise!

I am glad Jess is back. I'm still bitter they made Regan a love interest to Nick but I won't get into that again haha.

I loved Winston's surprise that they blacked out his thoughts on the trial and when he started dancing at the gathering. He's adorable.
