What amazed me most about the Joe/Michael Steele dust up is that Steele is co host of The Weekend program with Symone Sanders and Alicia Menendez. 

He's not just some guest or contributor, he works for MSNBC. And I believe he guest hosts for Joy Reid (IIRC) when she's off. 

Does MSNBC not notice that every time Joe does this, absolutely no one sides with him?  Even if some outlet or pundit tries to split hairs and explain why some of what he says has some inkling of merit. If you have to tap dance around something this much to justify it, maybe it doesn't deserve to be justified. 

Why does MSNBC continue to employ someone who thinks any disagreement with his opinion is an attack? To the point it makes the news?  If I was in the C Suite at 30 Rock I'd be more than a little embarrassed that the only news MSNBC makes is it's being sold off, and that Joe Scarborough acted like an asshole on air yet again. 

Joe keeps saying 'we need to be civil". Apparently he doesn't understand the word "we" usually includes the person saying it.

If they do think that, then they are totally misreading the room. Most people who are NOT in this business could tell by the tanked ratings that the core viewership of MSNBC would like some NORMALCY and not soap opera. Then again, what do I know? 🤷‍♀️

Yes, he has. Michael has also filled in for Nicolle Wallace, Chris Hayes and Jen Psaki among others.

Joe is mad at Trump criticizing Governor Newsom & the Mayor of LA for their handling of the fires.

Joe admitted that Karen Bass was in Ghana when the fires started for the inauguration of the President of Ghana.

Lemire admitted that there were warnings about the firre. The mayor had access to a cellphone and was made aware of the fires in LA.

9 am: Joe is reading the WSJ to viewers. 

I'd love somebody to pay me $8 million to read newspapers, yell at people, and go on vacation. 

Joe ran his mouth for ten minutes into the 9 am hour. What happened to Lemire taking over? 

Oh look!! The initial fire may have been started by fireworks or an arsonist. 

And again, politicians and pundits (cough cough, even here on MSNBC) blaming everything other than the fact that before the Palisades area was built in the 1920s, it looked exactly like it does after the fire. A dry desert. Where over building took place.  And worrying about the lack of water?  There isn't enough water in the entire western US to put out these fires.  

Lessons the human race has yet to learn:  Nature Always Wins. We overbuild. Destroy natural water areas and don't replace them, because developers have the money and power to lobby for less regulations. I've worked in real estate and I've seen what developers try to get away with.  

Joe won't stop blathering about his involvement in helping during Katrina. Jesus Joe is there no tragedy you won't try to make about yourself??

Joe wants to wait to find some people to blame. Here's the culprit Joe. Human beings and greed.

I tried to watch this morning, but between Ed Luce bashing Biden, and then Joe starting his "mismanagement of LA fires" bullshit, I had to turn it off. 

There's a very interesting video clip on X where Elon Musk is asking a fire chief about water supplies. He said they didn't run out of water around Malibu but what happened in Palisades.

The fire chief explained to this so called genius how the hydrant tank will run dry when fighting fires of this magnitude, aka no one has ever seen anything like this,  but they have mobile tankers that assist and provide additional water until the hydrant tanks refill. 

In addition, fire department won't waste time and water if there are ten houses on fire on a street, they'll never get a handle on it, especially if they see they won't get it put out.  They'll go to a building or home where they have a chance of salvaging something.   Apparently some people think this fire should be handled like a more typical residential fire, where only one structure is affected. Instead of like these fires where half of a city is destroyed. 

I really wish the pundits and politicians would just stfu unless they're offering support or informing viewers how they can help. 

No one needs your ill informed opinions and cruelty.

I've watched a little this week, a few minutes here and there. Joe seems to be much more quiet and not so confrontational. 

Other than the dust up with Ed Luce, which I really don't fault him for that much.  Everybody bashing Biden at this stage reminds me of a pack of hyenas attacking the weak animal. JFC you've humiliated the man enough.  Have you no shame?  Also, Ed clean up your own government's mess. 10 Downing Street should install a revolving door, you guys change PM's so much. 

It was rather shocking to see Joe and Lawrence O'D chatting this morning without it devolving into a screaming match.

Mika & Joe agreed to show up in a studio on a Friday. Joe allowed Anand to talk.

Joe also let Anand have his hair higher than his own which is a rarity.

Long-time viewers remember when Joe conceded that Mika convinced him to grow his hair out & change the part on his head.

Joe said that Kamala Harris did not lose the Jewish vote. Joe supported restrictions on Israel bombing Gaza.

Surprisingly, a somewhat enjoyable program this morning, considering what's happening in a few hours. Enjoyable as in pretty straight forward news and explanation of various events. No outbursts or cry talking.  JoMika is in the house, as in studio, not their basement. 

Biden is pre pardoning Jan 6 committee members, Capitol police, Dr Fauci and others. This doesn't mean they did anything wrong, and they have no obligation to accept pardon.

Inauguration Day on Morning Joe. Mika & Joe agreed to be in Washington for the day.

Mika is wearing a black top % and a red scarf,

Joe reminded Trump supporters that violent crime is at a 50-year low, wages are up & the stock market is at record levels. The economy is hot.

Joe said drugstores are safer now that all the products are locked up in glass cabinets,

Joe warned Trump that inflation could come back.

Willie reminded Joe that Kamala lost the election & inflation & immigration were issues.

There is an all-star casts of pundits with Mike Barnicle, Johathan Neechum & Senator Claire.

 

Joe said Democrats have to be worried about Missouri & Texas becoming redder.

Senator Claire said Democrats should not fight against deporting illegal immigrants who are convicted of violent crimes,

Joe ridiculed pundits who got upset over every Trump tweet & speech.

 

Claire said insurance is too high. Stop focusing on Greenland.

Joe said car insurance is expensive.

Mika struggled to read the Teleprompter. She called civilization civilation.

Joe spoke to people close to Trump. He is in the best mood of his life.

Mika said Biden didn't show grace to Trump by trying to have Trump arrested throughout the past 4 years. Barnicle said Trump didn't show grace to Biden by not thanjing him for releasing the hostages in Israel.

Stephanie Ruhle showed up on set wearing extra makeup. Stephanie is recovering from being skewered on Saturday Night Live. The critique was Stephanie likes to flirt with her guests & co hosts . Watch out Mika !

Joe started quoting various bible verses.

Stephanie was worried that Trump had the support of Elon Musk, Tim Cook & Zuckerberg & the google CEO. They control access to information. This will help Trump.

Stephanie did not admit that the CEO's used to support Democrats and helped get Trump wiped off social media after the insurrection in 2021.

Joe should remember that the last time he told viewers to write down his monologue, it was about saying that Biden was in the best shape ever & he was cogent etc. His clip went viral & he was ridiculed after the June debate where Biden struggled.

Donnie is a longtime friend of Mika & Joe. He used to persuade his clients to advertise on Morning Joe when the show started. Ad revenues helped Mika & Joe ask for higher salaries.

Mika & Joe complained to the producers of SNL after they did a parody of Morning Joe several years ago. Mika said her kids were offended by the skit which showed her flirting with Joe on the set. At the time, Mika was happily married to her first husband.
