When the decapitated body of a woman found in Lake Michigan is connected to Voight's social circle, Lindsay fears his relationship with the group may hinder his ability to approach the case objectively. Roman is having a hard time coping with recent events and an error in judgment causes him to make a grave mistake. Meanwhile, Olinsky becomes upset when Antonio doesn't consult him before making a decision that could affect Michelle's future.

Was this cut or did I fall asleep? The only scene I saw Olinsky was when he broke into the stripper's locker.

Erin's constant questioning of Voight surprised me in this episode. She seemed to take on the stance that Jay usually takes. I've noticed she always takes the cases for murdered women very personally so I wonder was that the reason for her disapproval? I do love Erin and Voight though and it's been a while since they had a father/daughter moment. I like how he playfully nudged her as well at Molly's. Sweet.

Roman got way too involved in that case. It was obvious something was going to wrong but they've called Voight so I can easily see him getting off.

I agree with the above that there wasn't enough personal stuff. It's one thing this show is really missing. Get a Lindsay/Burgess friendship. Let's even see a few more scenes at Molly's or have more scenes with the guys interacting. I know it's probably the darkest of all three shows but the Chicago series is about family more then anything so there needs to be more group scenes/friendships in order to establish that camaraderie.

Who was the villain of the week who got the victim pregnant? I've seen him before.

I think that Erin was hard on Voight because his mob friends were involved.  If the circumstances had remained the same, but those involved weren't closely connected to Voight, then she probably would have acted the way she normally does.  But Voight having those connections left her worried and she pushed where she normally wouldn't.

David Alan Basche. He's very much a HITG. Been in lots of the procedurals, either as the victim, the attorney or the bad guy. CSI, L&O, Mentalist, White Collar, Royal Pains, etc. As i look at his IMDB right now, he also was in a couple failed pilots: The Starter Wife and Lipstick Jungle.

Just to split hairs, Lipstick Jungle was actually a one and done series on ABC (one and done due to poor ratings), not just a pilot. And I also recognized David Alan Basche from L&O and think he may have also appeared on either L&O: SVU and/or L&O: CI, too. (What can I say, I'm an L&O franchise junkie!)

Right. The whole thing actually kind of begged the question....who exactly was Voight's father and what led to his getting killed? We know, of course, that Papa Voight was also a cop and that he died when his son was small. Now we know he had mob connections. Did that eventually get him into trouble?

Jay did ask once about Papa Voight's death, but all we got from Erin was that he could read about it in the Sun-Times...meaning, we have nothing at this time.
