The mythology arcs can get redic as the storyline keeps chugging along. Most of the time these ongoing arcs gets touched upon 1-3 times per season and ignored during the rest. Johanna's murder went on forever, 3XK felt like he was unstoppable, Castle's disappearance was a waste and Locksat is destroying Beckett's character. A few of the drama ones were well done (Captain Montgomery's death, for example) but overall they are overdone, trite, and drag down the show for me.
