Found it interesting that so many dismissed Shonda's new show The Catch, but wasn't lost that they bumped Castle S8 to air a Re-Run of it in Castle's time slot, perhaps as Wendy says it is a pilot or a move to appease ABC's Goddess Of Drama, if Shonda pushes it she will win, hands down and Fillion and company will be doing Fund Raisers for the next Con Man series. The longer the delay, the more inclined to think that second thoughts are taking over for renewal

Agree Think it was Bowman who said they had found their "Tent Pole" in NF when talking about the 120+ actresses they auditioned at an early Paley event. Seems they still feel the same

Can't speak for other quotes in your response but mine is a PERSONAL choice I made, based on how I FELT, and the accuracy was never about anyone starting a campaign to shut the "Restaurant" down, it was an analogy to explain the legitimacy those screaming for the poor 400 people who will loose their jobs if we STOP watching, no where did I mention a campaign to shut the show down, If you are going to quote me DON'T take it out of context.

I feel it is more like the example someone gave about Would you go to your favorite restaurant IF they removed 50% of your favorite meals JUST to save the jobs of those still working at the restaurant, Save me the speech, those in the job know they are only employed one season at a time and choose to work in that industry, I worry about their jobs as much as they worry about mine, Empathy yes, but they chose the field and reap the rewards or consequences based on the product they turn out. Hanning and Creasey saw the writing and bailed, who knows how many others IF they get S9 which for the remainder of the crew I would not wish harm, BUT my choice is made and I really don't think You know the entire FANDOM well enough to make a statement about crossing the line or unhealthy behaviors, respect, but disagree totally with your argument.

Anyone hear anything about TPW or Hawley Status as Show Ruiners? Found it curious they mentioned AH and The Following since it went from super star first year to sub par after AH took over, even Kevin B could not save the Bacon. I compare this to good athletes who bomb as managers/coaches AH and TPW were good writers in the PAST, but this year they sucked at writing and running a show, IF ABC renews it may be with new SR's especially if for the full 22 episode season, if 13 probably will just limp out with what they have, YOMV

Remember last year it was Seamus who was saying the future was up in the air, this year Jon, and I agree with Wendy, with the upheaval at ABC lately, negotiations with the leads probably trumps all other activities, plus, as they wait to see the new shows bomb one after another, IF they can reach agreement with NF, the series goes to S9 like it was announced last year, SK may or may not be there but I am leaning to notion she signs for another year but I really don't see any of the parties going past this, it has been burning out, and we are getting more smoke than flame lately

Well just to take the other side, I think new President Cleans house with Winter and Hawley IF she gets both leads to sign, if not it is a mute point they will put on one more season while they continue their desperate search for something anything to replace it with. I see the numbers for the Re-run of Shonda's new show sucked air in Castle time slot, so not taking it too seriously, they did far too much photo shopping of the lead, and really not doing her a favor with this story line IMO

I would have agreed with you up till Nashville got new Show Runners so there is hope we can get rid of these Show Ruiners sooner than to late

It may not be up to him, With the guy who hired him gone and his wonderful track record, (Following, now Castle) he may be shown the door and he can take TPW with him. Both used to be good writers but seems like they fell from the same tree and got hit by the Stupid Sticks all the way down

I only hope it is the VERY LAST, FINAL, FINITO Script written by Hawley and Winter, IMO they did more damage in one season than I thought possible, and my hope is they follow Paul Lee right out the door and we start next year with Rob Hanning running the show, YOMV

Wendy Talk about consistency or lack of it, Need to take her down a peg, enter Rogan O'Leary, and the Cluster fuck ending of S6 S7 was a sleeper in more ways than 1 and now A cabinet full of medals for Of Course Top Recruit Becket, who got suspended for not following protocol, and as Captain is working a case off the book, since She is the Only one that can solve the case, even if it cost her the marriage, PLEASE

I would expect IF Stana leaves, and there is a S9 Dumb and Dumber would blow her up much like MASH did to McLain Stevenson when he left, or Shonda did to McDreamy. That way the only way she could return would to blow off a full season, much like the old Dallas did for Bobby and the Shower scene. IMO not going to happen and once Stana or Nathan leave, don't see them coming back. Just my opinion, and speculation
