Tara Ariano July 13, 2015 Share July 13, 2015 Chair receives a lesson in the art of servitude from Peepers. Meanwhile, Lillian and Beatrice get ready for Newport's Most Beautiful Pageant, but Hortense sets out to sabotage the event. Link to comment

raiderred1 July 15, 2015 Share July 15, 2015 I found tonight's episode to be the best so far. I sure hope they can keep it on the air. I did not know that was John Ritters so until reading about it here but dang sure see the resemblance. Link to comment
teddysmom July 15, 2015 Share July 15, 2015 This was definitely the best episode so far. I think we need more of Lillian and Victor plotting together. Can someone tell me what Brett Gelman's character is? All I ever see him doing is lurking around bothering Chair. I lost it when Hortense tried to squeeze thru the silhouette. 2 Link to comment
Latverian Diplomat July 15, 2015 Share July 15, 2015 Can someone tell me what Brett Gelman's character is? All I ever see him doing is lurking around bothering Chair. According to wikipedia, he's an outwoodsman, which I take to mean some sort of groundskeeper. I think the point is that he has very low status, but also the freedom to come and go as he pleases, unlike the heavily supervised house servants. As for his relationship to Chair, in the 2nd episode he expositions that he was once a successful music hall performer, but she, in her former life as a high class prostitute, took him for everything he had, and he took his current position out of desperation (before she arrived). So, they have a long, complicated history. 1 Link to comment

I was kind of hoping they CGI'd it in. 2 Link to comment
iMonrey July 15, 2015 Share July 15, 2015 The Carrie homage was brilliant, and the scenes of Chair and Hamish lugging the feces through the woods was so disgusting. I could have done without the vomiting but at the same time I couldn't help but laugh at Hamish yelling "not in the feces!" I felt bad for the ladies who were sitting around trying to decide who was the most "comely." 1 Link to comment
thuganomics85 July 15, 2015 Share July 15, 2015 Yes, this might have been my favorite episode so far. Lillian and Victor actually teaming up to win the pageant, was actually a pretty good idea. They obviously barely seem to stand each other, but I liked how each of them have their own motivation. And, of course, even though Lillian won, she didn't fully, since she got a bucket of "feces" dumped on her Carrie-style, and lost out on that cover shot. Ha! Lillian chewing out the baby was so wrong, but hilarious. I do wonder how they shot that because while I obviously don't think the baby understood a damn word of it, I would think having some lady up close and snarling at him/her, could freak the poor baby out. The stuff involving Chair was brief, but a fun B-story. Christina Hendricks seems to be having a blast in this role. And Peepers would freak out over a little drop spilling on the tablecloth. Beatrice and Frederick continue to amuse me more then they probably should. 2 Link to comment
SFoster21 July 16, 2015 Share July 16, 2015 It's a funny show, but I find bathroom humor disgusting and unfunny. So not a fan of this episode. 4 Link to comment
amensisterfriend July 16, 2015 Share July 16, 2015 Yeah, I hate bathroom humor too, so this was probably my least favorite of all the episodes...though I still adore this show overall :) 1 Link to comment
ganesh July 16, 2015 Share July 16, 2015 Come on, that "irish song" was hilarious. So awful. The episode was worth it for that. I also liked the squirting of vodka into Beatrice's mouth. *Of course* Jack Black is the host. I like how this has a huge cast and things kind of move along briskly. Link to comment
DeLurker July 16, 2015 Share July 16, 2015 Hor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My 14 yo watches this with me and she totally lost it at that. I love this show. 1 Link to comment

All driven out of my mind by the feces, I fear. 1 Link to comment
Uncle Benzene July 16, 2015 Share July 16, 2015 I had been wondering if/when Kate Micucci was going to pop up on this here show. Glad to see Garfunkel & Oates still collaborating! Link to comment
william0102 July 16, 2015 Share July 16, 2015 I love this show. This was one of the better episodes in my opinion, though the poop humor was gross. I love Beatrice, and normally not a fan of Riter's son, but he works well with the rest of the cast. I was surprised I liked the cast so much, but it all just gels nicely. I really hope this one stays on air. Link to comment

My least favorite episode - though it did have some funny bits (the ladies discussing who was most comely, Lillian taking down the baby, Beatrice revealing she's an accomplished opera singer). 2 Link to comment
