Waldo13 May 11, 2015 Share May 11, 2015 (edited) I dont see disparagement. The thread is for discussing who we like and don't like and why..... if I understand the point correctly. ;) Disparage: to discredit; lower the expectation of. I used disparaging remarks all through this thread my-self. I could have used negativity instead of disparaging. A Nick and Clark F2 would be like Vanilla ice cream while either one of them with Jax would be more like a sundae with chocolate syrup, whip cream, and a cherry on top. There hasn't been a female winner since Jordan Sparks. It's time for a female winner and I'm going to speculate that AI will do whatever is necessary to make that happen. Ladyrain May 11, 2015 Share May 11, 2015 There actually was a female winner since Jordin: Candace Glover. And the show pulled out every stop to ensure a girl that year and it totally backfired on them. Not that I disagree about them pulling strings in Jax's favor. I think they are, but like before, it may not work out well in the end. Does it really matter at this point? Idol has been officially cancelled, with next season being its last. 2 Link to comment

I don't want to argue the semantics. For me to disparage means to degrade, so I guess that's why I didn't see any.... degrading. I don't like Jackie's look, her sound, or any of her performances. So there's that. Just speaking for myself. Mileage varies and is respected imo. I've been a huge HCJ fan, but lately he's kind of grating and he comes off a little arrogant imo. Maybe he's being told what to do by TPTB. IDK. I'm feeling jaded I guess. However, I'll take these three judges over some other previous ones any day though. It would be interesting for me to see Nick aka the old dude (old at 29 heh) win just to watch Borch lose it on national teevee. :) But then I like Nick. A Clark win would be good too even though he is kind of a snoozer. (for me, for you) 1 Link to comment
Qoass May 11, 2015 Share May 11, 2015 Jax would be more like a sundae with chocolate syrup, whip cream, and a cherry on top. Or at least a frozen dessert with chocolate-flavored syrup, non-dairy whipped topping and a fruit-flavored garnish. 6 Link to comment

If you'd like to discuss any of the contestants in depth, please feel free to create individual topics for them. Thanks! 1 Link to comment

MrsMoltisanti May 12, 2015 Share May 12, 2015 Everyone is talked out I think. They all said their piece and are saving it up for tonight. I like reading the venting of frustration after every episode, particularly this episode: "Top 3 Performance" episode from May 6". 1 Link to comment
niklj May 14, 2015 Share May 14, 2015 I was watching video from Clark's homecoming and he actually sang with his dad at his homecoming concert, too! And his dad is an incredible performer with a great voice of his own, it was a rather heartwarming moment: https://youtu.be/myi77IcoBQ0?t=13m22s Wonder why they decided to highlight Nick and his dad's performance and how Nick's dad wanted to be a performer, but not showcase Clark's relationship with his dad as well... 1 Link to comment
