SueB March 20, 2015 Share March 20, 2015 Here's my vision of Rowena in Purgatory: First, she's pissed she's in Purgatory because she's human. But she's also scrappy. So I'd say she'd hide for a bit, make up a few hex bags and get a group of minions. Maybe they'll last longer because they are monster based. I think she'll survive by throwing attack dogs at all comers. Eventually setting herself up in a lair with monsters afraid to go near her because bad shit happens when they do. She'll be the queen of her own little private patch of Purgatory. And she'll be pissed about it. But so long as she can get others to do her bidding, she'll paint it like it's a grand old time. And she'll still hold out her little pinky as she drinks whatever form of wildroot tea she can create from the Purgatory swamps. So my eulogy of Rowena is: don't go changing luv, you're going to need all that bullshit attitude to survive. 1 Link to comment

Just a guess, but I think so, given how (in recent years, anyway) the show treats magic sort of like a body of knowledge or a science, and not so much like it's an inborn "gift" or witches are a different species or anything. Like with the hex bags -- I think anybody can make them if they know how. Sam has made them before iIrc. Or like how Henry was able to travel through time using the power of his own soul using the MoL's books/studies, despite also not being a witch. I think that knowing witchcraft in the SPN-world is sort of like being an expert in mechanical engineering or physics or something, lol. And anyway, everyone knows that Rowena's real power is being a manipulative psychopath who prays on the emotional vulnerabilities. I'm sure she'd retain that power in Purgatory :P 1 Link to comment

Well, it's been said that witches get there power from demons, so, I don't think they'd go to Purgatory, but hell when they die. It seems anyone can use magic and not be selling their soul, so I'm not sure exactly what defines an actual witch as opposed to wicken or a hunter working spells. However, Rowena said she was a natural and didn't get her power from demons, so maybe she is a kind of monster? But, the purposes of our game, I agree with you SueB. The first successful killing of a witch occurred in the episode which must not be named. When Portia knocked out the control of the bad witch, Sam did an incantation and lit the bottle full of red stuff. Dead threw the bottle and the bad witch sort of exploded-ish. This was the same stuff they were going to use in "About A Boy" but apparently roasting her in the fire worked too. Link to comment

For a monster, you became surprisingly reserved and polite, and even showed great restraint in not killing Dean after he blew up your prized-possession sword that you had to sleep with some loathsome diplomat to get. It was also very smart of you to plan ahead enough to have on hand something to kill dragons, since they might try to open purgatory again some day. I also imagine your connection to Bobby was likely an interesting story - probably having to do with a case - and wish I knew more about it. Here's hoping you find another dragon sword and go get your revenge on them for messing up your plans to live quietly and peacefully on earth... and watch out for Gordon Walker.
