Okay I'll be the meanie that kills Reading Is Fundamental I would give it a send off but honestly don't remember what one it is.

It's like I don't even know you anymore! (j/k)

 

Sigh. I sooooo loved Reading Is Fundamental. First of all, it gave us one of the BEST running gags of all time: Kevin Tran, Advanced Placement. And the lines! "So now we're kidnappers?" Meg: "Not if we shut up about it." (I use this in life ...as a joke..all the time).  "Pull my finger". AND HE DOES. And then we get the awesome Team Free Will hug! Personally I loved "out-there" Cas. Talking about the unhappy dogs in Perth.  But for me, the complex scene of playing "Sorry" and the inability for Dean and Cas to communicate was really meaty stuff. I don't like a lot of Ben Edlund scripts but I loved his eclectic sense of humor and elliptical writing in this one. It was angsty and funny and exciting all at once.  *sigh* You will be missed by me, you adorable little episode you (nose bop).

 

I feel a need for a hug:

 

 

Also, it's time, like "RIGHT FRIGGING NOW!" to say goodbye to "Plucky Pennywhistle's Magical Menagerie".  Sam was 6 kinds of adorable in this episode.  The way he sidesteps the clown before chasing after the 'shroom dude (lion costume). A really BAD bad cop. His repeating of "if it bleed you can kill it". Only to find out that they didn't bleed (except glitter). Dean REALLY wanting that slinky and Sam inherently knowing it and picking it up. Dean's sincere apology for causing the childhood trauma in the first place.  Dean's love of Shark Week. It was a light-hearted episode with some really great monsters (Octovamp/Dractopus, Seabiscuit the Impaler, Landshark).

I've seen the end of Penny and now that you've talked about it I sort of remember the Sorry image but this is when I joined I'm so sick of Dean's story being about nothing and I no longer cared about hurt Sam.  I won't say more but maybe enough time has gone by that I can watch with a new interest...no promises,  :)

I don't have many qualms about killing off Born-Again.  While at the time, I was happy they brought Castiel back, in hindsight the ep really doesn't hang together that well.  Cas being married as "Emanuel"  was left completely unexplored, and I can only wonder about whether Cas ever went back to tell her what he really was or just left her thinking he deserted her.  And unless he either lost all of Emanuel's memories when he got his own back or never was intimate with his own wife, Castiel's "innocence" in later seasons shouldn't have been in place.  Then there was the Castiel-ex-Machina solution to Sam's insanity, which was just too plot convenient and I could never understand why Meg would give a crap about looking after him.

Missed my voting last night as I was at the hospital. I liked Sam and Dean working together in Time after Time, but they also worked together in Slash Fiction" until Sam threw a fit about Amy, which to this day, I don't get why he did, or why he really cared that Dean lied to him about that one thing considering how often Sam has lied to Dean. I mean hello...Ruby and demon blood and keeping the hallucinations from him...and other stuff. Dean has lied to Sam before as well. So I just don't get why there was so much angst from Sam to Dean about Amy with whom he had NO current relationship and who was a monster and had killed humans.

I love Time after Time but I liked the purpose Slash Fiction served overall to the entire story of s7. I like Hello Cruel World for the scene between Dean and Sam in the warehouse be other than that. I feel bad that I didn't vote up Meet the New Boss more because I liked it better than Hello Cruel World.

Both Meet the New Boss and Hello had such a strong potential and could have really gone somewhere and that is the failing of the writing in season 7 for me.

 

I love Death but I hated the speech he gave Dean.  I loved that Dean being helpless and being forced to go to the one hospital that wasn't safe.  But some of the moments just didn't satisfy me in these two shows so they couldn't be no. 1 for me.  I know someone else will give them both a better sendoff.

 

The reason for me Time is over Slash is the Amy storyline.  Plus Jodi and Sam is a nice pairing, Ness and Dean a nice pairing.  So I can't vote for Slash, as I really don't buy the big fallout and the number one shouldn't be the one that takes me out of the story and it does.  So I guess it is up to you to decide which one you like more.

Okay the childest part of me is now satisfied.  :)   I'm fine with a tie because I know we will just even the score again.   

 

But I'm not looking forward to 8 or will it be a race to kill off as many eps as possible.  Just a few may stand out, but I didn't buy the season and I only vaguely remember it at all.  :(

Though wow, so many of the episodes from this season just aren't memorable. I only finished rewatching them a few weeks ago but am still drawing a blank on a lot of these titles.
