mxmummy February 9, 2015 Share February 9, 2015 The look on Kody's face when Christine said she felt bad that Robyn did not ask her to watch her kids pissed me off. Maybe this was a surprise to him but he could have at least acted sympathetic towards Christine instead of looking at her like are you freaking nuts, do not talk to queen Robyn like that! 1 Link to comment
MarysWetBar February 9, 2015 Share February 9, 2015 (edited) Yes i agree. I hadn't seen this episode until today and watcHing it now knowing what has been going on behind the scenes, it is really apparent. That scene with christine on the couch and then Meri crying...you can totally tell how broken hearted both christine and meri are. I know that is why Annie moved in. Christine is a mess and needs support. .especially with Aspyn and Mykelti moving out.Why in holy hell does Bobbyn( for dick) need a freaking Nanny??? Christine i can understand as you can tell she is one more cry away from a total nervous breakdown. Bobbyn can set her bloody hours for the joory business. None of that shit is selling anyway! Janelle is totally detached. .i think she has a plan. Why wouldn't she ride it out in a mcmansion until the TLC gravy train stops rolling? Burrow some cash away. .sacrifice. She had zero interest anymore but you can see the hurt in the other two's eyes. They love him still. And i don't usually have anything nice to say about Meri usually but Damn. .next time i move, i want her supervising. She is really great at that, hey? Annie...i like her. She is moving in with her daughter cus she knows they need her. I like Annie. I hope she gives Christine the strength to leave. Edited to add : That damn Auroras can't keep her face out of any shot..what a needy thing she is. Edited February 9, 2015 by MarysWetBar 2 Link to comment
Micks Picks February 20, 2015 Share February 20, 2015 I agree from the beginning Aurora was all about batting affection. Very soon after joining the Brown family she was all over Kody's now dead brother and a couple of other guys when they came to visit, even though it didn't appear she'd ever see them before. What's this crap about Annie helping Christine out? From the time I was an adult it was all about making life a little for my mother. And my husband was excellent about helping her as well. I don't have anybody to help me, and it sucks. I wouldn't have expected my mom to do anything. Also didn't Christine say her mom made her wedding dress and then they wouldn't allow her at the wedding and she and Kody decided she couldn't see the kids because she was afraid her mom would steal them? What an idiot. An ungrateful idiot. 1 Link to comment
purpleflowers February 20, 2015 Author Share February 20, 2015 (edited) What's this crap about Annie helping Christine out? I think whenever Christine mentions the word "help" she really means company, support, comfort...things she likely doesn't get much of from Kody. She was raving about all the "help" Aspyn and Mykelti provided her, but I saw through that because really, how much help could Aspyn have been providing away at college the past year or so? And I'm sure she could get Paedon to "help" if she was overwhelmed; he's got to be at least 15. Back in Utah, Christine seemed very comfortable looking after many kids at once, both her own and Janelle's. Add to this Christine's bizarre comment that she wasn't given the chance to look after Robyn's kids, and it's clear that Christine's issue has little to do with domestic labor. And, I see how much Meri misses Mariah being around all the time for the company and mother/daughter bonding, and I'm sure Christine could relate with her eldest two. She was raving about all the "help" Aspyn and Mykelti provided her I wonder if the help she really desires is a shoulder to lean on. It's parent's job to provide that to their offspring, not the reverse. If Christine is emotionally overwhwelmed, her church must have a pastor or outreach she could avail herself of. I don't recommend going for counseling outside the church as that would have obvious problems since its her lifestyle causing it. Link to comment
Absolom February 20, 2015 Share February 20, 2015 It seems she'd have to drive to Utah to see a counselor within their church even if the AUB has counselors. Link to comment
Fosca February 21, 2015 Share February 21, 2015 Maybe mom is there to help her disentangle from Kody and the Kodettes. I suspect that's why mom thinks she's there (or hopes she's there for that anyway), but I'm not sure Christine consciously knows that yet (although I suspect that on some level she does). 1 Link to comment

According to Wikipedia, AUB Church has most of their members live near Modena, Utah, or Tonopah, Nevada. Tonopah is located about halfway between Reno and Las Vegas. Link to comment

altopower February 22, 2015 Share February 22, 2015 Kody would make Christine pay for a counselor (and gas for the trip) out of her grocery money. 4 Link to comment
Kohola3 February 22, 2015 Share February 22, 2015 The faux counselors were as believable as the faux anthropology students. TLC is right on track to take the award for Least Legitimate Reality TV. 2 Link to comment
altopower February 22, 2015 Share February 22, 2015 Oh wait! I know what would be perfect: put the Browns on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars. I've been watching this season, probably for the same reason I watch Sister Wives, and I can see them now - Kody in the center of a big circle with the different wives all throwing balls with words about relationship issues at him. That show is as fake as SW; it would be a good fit. 3 Link to comment
