The other day she stated that she read Charles Krauthammer all her life, that he was a touchstone for her.  So that, and the asskissing, and the copying Mika's wardrobe on her show, and I'm done with her.

She’ll make a perfect Mrs Scarborough IV.

She'd have to leave her husband first. Which, if she's following Mika's handbook of ditching Hubby #1 to attain your career goals, she should be at Item #7 as of this writing.

1. Get yourself on Morning Joe.

2. Kiss host's ass.

3. Dress like host.

4. Have same politics as other host.

5. Enjoy sports

6. Pretend to have a sense of humor

7. Be younger

8. Tour country with hosts during election cycle

9. Lie in wait, licking chops while older slower host walks into your trap

10. BINGO

Amirite?  What the hell Mika.  Before she took up with douchebag she always had heels on.  Guess now that the fuck me heels worked they have been banished from the land.  Unbelievable.

A brief Googling arms me with just a few links for the class:

Lol I just noticed the hashtag. Know Your Value Tip! That makes this even better.

I can't turn my volume on for another few hours -- anyone care to take one for the team and bless us with her advice on when women may feel free to not wear heels?

HIGH HEELS BAD.  BAD, BAD, BAD!  SENDS THE WRONG MESSAGE (my guess would be like you want to sleep with your boss, that kind of thing).  She used to wear them all the time (like when she was chasing her boss around) but now finds them tiring.  You know, like their show.

I finally started laughing after watching it for fourth time, the first three I just kept staring at the screen.  So gross on so many levels to tell women what shoes to wear or worse to equate them to the value of the women wearing them.

Exactly Xoqueens.  She was practically spitting venom indicating high heels send the wrong message.  I wore heels my entire work life and I never was mistaken for the town whore but then again I didn't sleep with my boss.

I wish she'd use Know Your Value to address some more serious and pressing issues regarding women's value. Just off the top of my head: why she's allowing her show to be the platform upon which an accused serial sexual harasser gets to rehabilitate his public image. I mean, how bad do you have to be if Fox News, of all networks, lets you go.

But no, let's talk about hair and heels. Next up we'll talk about make up!

ETA: What do we think is really going on? I think she's helplessly insecure about how she got, and kept, her job and the added attention of now actually going public and (presumably) marrying her boss is manifesting itself in these insane public cries of denial. I don't think even Mika is oblivious enough to not know how it all looks.

Mika reminds me of a few other women I have encountered that had "mentorship" programs.  It was all kick off meetings and pizza/brown bag lunches and girl power but no real what I would call network/career building.  Some building blocks were put in place but zero follow through or checkpoints to see if the program was working.  The sponsors get their moment in the sun and then move onto their next career move.  I get helping out people that maybe need some help in the wardrobe building department but the height of your heels is totally irrelevant and terribly misleading.

I lmao at this. Dan Pfeiffer, who worked for Obama has a new book out. He was interviewed for The Daily Beast, and when asked about civility, said "I've seen some dumb debates in DC, but this is about the dumbest.  The Morning Joe round table doesn't bestow moral authority, so stop listening to pundits".

Ouch.  Yeah when the two hosts both committed adultery, I'd say "moral authority" is not in either's wheelhouse.

The entire interview and his entire statement on the civility debate -

Did they get married? When? Where? I’ve been out of the loop for awhile and I would really appreciate some clarification on this important point. I can’t figure this out. I  thought they said they would marry in the Spring, but I can’t find any info on the internet about what happened. I’m sure you guys know, so please-please-please clue me in. Thank you

Junie no they are not married but it looks like they are now living together.  No talk of wedding plans that I have heard but I would imagine that would bubble up through other venues.

I thought it was funny that Mika’s tip was don’t try to schedule time with your kids, then Kie jumps in and says that Mika taught him that you should schedule dinner with your kids.

on another note, a while back, I realized that “Miller” is related to Joe.  I think that Miller’s grandmother and Joe’s mother are sisters, which would make Joe and Miller first cousins once removed.

I can’t tell if she’s oblivious and thinks all daughter/mother relationships are like that, or if she’s trying to passive aggressive pressure them to change by blasting their behavior online.

She reminds me of my sisters.  If they say something enough it becomes the truth and to admit you had a part in a fractured relationship isn't going to happen.  Everything is fine here, nothing to see.  Everybody is like this.

Where is Heileman, BTW? Seems like forever since I've seen him anywhere.

Suomi, not quite sure but he and his wife welcomed a new Great Dane puppy into their family maybe six weeks ago plus I believe The Circus wrapped up it's last season around that time so maybe he's taking some family time.

eta:  I am so glad you asked because his Twitter feed is full of great pictures of his family both two and four legs enjoying themselves at the beach!

He was on Bill Maher a couple of weeks ago. I love him when he is on that panel - he totally cuts loose and he's quite funny and snarky.

Hee, unfettered Heilemann definitely throws major (and hilarious) shade.  He had a phenomenal exchange with Meeks years ago that I thought he was going to go over the desk at her (he got a little timeout afterward).  A MJ classic.

My niece and sister go to movies, eat out, have dinner, (my niece cooks) hang out, go to the barn and ride horses, etc.

In 28 years since she was born I've never known them to have to "schedule" time.

Mika, if someone wants to hang out with you, getting together shouldn't be harder than planning the D Day invasion, which apparently it is in your household.

THANK YOU.  My ex and his ex were chaotic parents and my heart broke for their children but whenever they were with just me, they stayed in, did their homework and even had friends over that did the same as kids crave genuine attention not scheduling.

Heilemann is deceptively huge isn't he.  He must be all legs . . . :)

I still miss Thomas Roberts.  Not sure what he did to become so blatantly persona non grata . . . :(

Standing around with her hands on her hips (ala Gym Jordan) saying she wants to have a few words with Miss USA/America(?) . . . I have no words.

eta:  that clip gets more gross the more you watch it and again how did they let go of Thomas Roberts and hold onto and continue to promote these two awful, not helpful people.

I never knew Heilemann was that tall.

The one I always felt sorry for during their end-of-the-show routine was Colonel Jack Jacobs.  I thought he was a great guest, but he's a wee fellow. When he would be standing there among the giants, I always thought "One of these things is not like the others."

Not that there's anything wrong with being short! I'm a shortie myself.

Topic: Joe's face.

Question: Has he had work done, or does the bunker have a special filter they run his image through to smooth things out?

Hmmmm . . . could someone with an ego the size of Joe consider any type of plastic surgery especially when canoodling with Ms. Chin (not a big deal) Tuck?

Nah.

And please know I don't have HDTV . . . :)

He looks like he got some filler around the mouth maybe (tough to differentiate from the alcohol bloat) And a weekly facial at least. And a filter on the bunker camera.

When will he get an eyelid lift? He’ll look like Kathy Kay!

Yeah I think you’re right, the answer is all of the above. The split screen really highlights the soft focus in the bunker camera though.

Are there rumors Joe has an alcohol problem? His face has really bloated, but I assumed it was stress related due to the pending doom of marrying a former mistress, a condition that so often takes over men of his sort before they move on to the next.

After a week-long absence from her day job, Mika started day drinking with lunch and posted a hilarious-in-all-the-unintended-ways Know Your Value tidbit about taking time for you and wearing the sweatshirts of news organizations (Daily Mail) who mock you. So, in the spirit of "Who has had what work done, or is it a filter?"! Without further ado, may I present: Mika Brzezinski and Her Wine Glass.

As an aside, reds at noon (or before) is a bold, bold choice, Ms. Brzezinski. I mostly grew up in Europe and am totally in vibe with day drinking, but even I start off a little lighter during the noontime hours.

I know I just mocked her like the Daily Mail, but after a quick trip through the Know Your Value instagram page I really hope she's talking to her sleep therapist about more than sleep. She seems to be going through something. Her recent videos -- the problems sleeping video, the strangely morose "too blessed to be stressed" video, the "my daughters don't want to spend time with me" video, the "everyone needs me but I need to put my phone down and escape" video, this day drinking "I need more escapes" video.

I agree. Something is up.  THis morning I was thinking, I wonder if they're going to leave the show, start a podcast or something, and then break up. It would be much less noticeable than if they did it while still on air.

Also, Willie hosting the show is so much better. I actually watch. When Joe & Mika are there, I turn it off.   The last thing I need at 6 am is two 50 year old drama queens.

I don't know about them breaking up, but I have a gut feeling that they will leave the show when their contract expires, which is some time this year.
