Original air date - 5/13/25

Tammy and Andrea take a new step in their relationship; Amy's boyfriend drops a stunning surprise before her court date.

------

I thought they would show the court hearing on this episode, but that'll be on next week's episode.  Tonight, Amy goes shopping for an outfit to wear to court.  Tammy takes her mom to get a haircut.  Amy goes to a chiropractor for ongoing back pain.  Brittany visits Dr. Smith to talk about surgery as her diabetes is out of control.  Dr. Smith says she is a good candidate for surgery.  Tammy introduces her mom to her girlfriend Andrea and hopes she'll accept her.  Tammy's mom seems OK with her.  Amy, Brian, Tammy, and Misty go to a haunted house.  Brian proposes to Amy in a padded cell.  Tammy and Misty are underwhelmed and give each other the side-eye and the episode ends with Amy crying, saying her family can't be happy for her.

Andrea does resemble Misty!  She could be one of the sisters.

Nice that Darlene was supportive, but she still gives me ‘never satisfied with you’ vibes.  Maybe I just don’t get her dry humor. She scares me lol

Chris was funny getting ‘salty’ over Brittany not getting a weight loss goal.  I’m rooting for her. Giving up soda is harder than you’d think. Took me forever to give up diet soda (regular was too sweet for me.) Even now, I still miss it.  But I took a sip after months off of it and Ew…tasted so disgusting. Miss the bubbles though. (Hate seltzer, etc.) Finishing a meal with water just isn’t the same.

Brian’s haunted house proposal would’ve been romantic and perfect for Amy, if it had happened off camera. Felt performative to me. As the kids say, I find him ‘sus.’  I wonder what Amanda would’ve done if she’d been there 🤣. Kudos to the actress staying in character with the crazy eyes.

I noticed how Brian kept looking off into the distance when they were all talking after the open house.  It's probably just something he does when he feels awkward but I thought it was odd.

Well the whole thing was odd.

I'm sure it is hard for the siblings to be happy for Amy when so many of her decisions are not in her  and her children's best interest.  They know she is impulsive and that they are the ones likely to pick her up when she falls.  And  her decisions do not just affect her anymore.

Is that chiropractor scan thing for real?  Anyone had that done?  I have never been to a chiropractor, so I don't know much about it. But that is the first time I have seen that scan thing.

I wonder if Brittany will just quit the soda, or try to cut back, or switch to diet soda. The best of luck to her!  I think she will kill it!

That neck "adjustment" is going to paralyze somebody.

Having had a sibling who made impulsive life choices for years and then bitched when people weren't happy for her, I felt for the sisters.  Mine grew out of it, but I'm not sure Amy will. (And boy is she a dead ringer for her mother!)

If I were with Brian and he was looking up down and all around like an infant outdoors for the first time I'd offer to take him to the nearest Emergency room.  He didn't exhibit that behavior in previous appearances.  I wouldn't let a sibling of mine (anybody, really) drive off with somebody exhibiting those symptoms.

OMG at Amy's feet at the Chiropractor.  She must never wash her feet or is her house that filthy

I'm guessing both

Yeah, I was wondering about that--either she hasn't showered in a few days or, if she showered that morning, it took less than a day to get her feet that dirty.  Not good, either way.

I'm not sure I'm buying the clothing sizes that Amy and Tammy say they're wearing.  Did I hear correctly?  Amy says she's in an XL and Tammy an L?  Are the sizes different in Kentucky?

Those dirty feet.  Oy vey.

I bet they both buy knit stuff that's oversized, so it's loose.   Or someone is selecting clothing for them, and taking the size tags out.

I think they're both lying through their teeth. I'm thinking 3X for Tammy and 4X for Amy.

I wear a size 18 short in slacks or 16W short. I buy 42B in regular bra size - Vanity Fair.

Recently I have been buying XXL or XXXL tees, tops and sports bras for comfort and because I don't like tight fits that show every bulge as the Slaton sisters show. But then Lane B and Torrid size 0X is big on me.

Of course, brands and store sizes are different, as is the shape of the garment. I have bought smalls and mediums in the bigger, boxy shapes recently.

I have been liking Tammy much more this season. Her happiness to do more now is endearing.

Of course, this is her honeymoon period with her new girlfriend and other friends, but she deserves every happiness.

I  sincerely hope she has outgrown her anger (self-hatred for her bigger size before?)  that she showed in pre- surgery days.

Her quiet demeanor listening to Amy talk about her fears  was amazing.

The ring Brian gave Amy can be found on Amazon--one is $20 and one is $5.  I wonder if he sprang for the pricey one. 🤔

eta:  Not that the price of an engagement ring matters, but he lives in a very nice house and could probably afford a couple of hundred dollars for a nicer ring.  But, on the other hand, he knows Amy's taste.  She's apparently thrilled with it.

I can't wait to see inside his house!  I'm such a snoop!  I'd also like to see it after Amy's been living there a while.  It wasn't that long ago that she was pulling dead rodents out of the cupboards and had cockroaches climbing up the walls.

Bonus scene of Chris and Brittany bringing groceries in, taking them down to their cellar…and Chris talking about how out of breath she is from going up and down the stairs (me, tooo Brit!) …and, holy Cow they have a whole store down there!!  Is that common? Is she a couponer? They had shelves of food, like 8 jars of pickles, etc. I have one jar, and I’ll buy another one when it’s empty lol

Anyway, they talked about Chris postponing his surgery so Brittany can get hers. He said next to their kids, she’s the most important person to him, and it’s more important she gets healthier.

next bonus scene was her discussing with the doctor which surgery (sleeve, bypass or SADI) would best resolve her diabetes, and he suggested SADI (like Misty got)

They showed Tammy saying she’s tired of covering up for Amy’s mistakes. When has she done that? What mistakes?
