Han & Holden reach the cheese shop first.  It's a Route Info.

The task here is to identify nine French cheeses and recite the names to a fromagier at a nearby restaurant.

They smartly split them up five to four, with Han doing five since she knows French more than Holden does.

Sheesh, Holden.  Don't offend the cheese guy.  "That could kill a horse?"  Really?

Han & Holden try to name them, but Han thinks that it's one that she didn't try.

Brett & Mark reach the Roadblock, and Mark takes it.

Third match: Jonathan vs. Josiah.

Jonathan wins!  He and Ana are out of there in third!

Fourth and last match: Josiah vs. Mark.

Even if Mark and Brett win, and Josiah and Alyssa have to wait 10 minutes, they could use their Express Pass on the cheese and get back ahead.

Of course we get a commercial break before seeing who wins this last match.  Of course!

Ten minutes isn't game ending especially if they have to taste and identify French cheese and that might trip up some teams

I can understand some confusion about whether they "raced" through Germany, but damn, the UAE and Indonesia are not part of Europe!

Not confusing. Phil said specifically it was a non-elimination leg. Just because there was no penalty doesn't make it any less so. The show has the authority to change how a NEL works. It may be less consequential now than it used to be, but if Phil says it's NEL then it's NEL.

Brett & Mark will take the penalty.

Carson & Jack are lost again.  They get directions, though, and turn out to be a little ways down for the shop.

They go to taste the cheeses.

Carson & Jack take Han & Holden's strategy.  Carson takes four, Jack takes five.

Han & Holden try again, but miss one.  They go and try again.

If I were Alyssa & Josiah, I'd use the Express Pass here.  But they seem to be doing it.

Alyssa has the right idea to use the Express Pass, but Josiah doesn't want to, for some reason.

Josiah wants to make one attempt at the cheese first, which is a reasonable compromise.

Brett & Mark reach the cheese shop, and they start learning the cheeses.

Everybody is equalized.

Jonathan & Ana take a try.  They fail.

Carson & Jack fail immediately on their latest try.

So do Jonathan & Ana.

But Han & Holden finally pass!  They're in first place heading to the next stop.

Next stop: Strasbourg Cathedral.

Oof!  They must climb all the way up by stair!
