possibilities April 26 Share April 26 How many episodes are there? I expected this one to be the finale, but I guess not! I didn't understand why it was such a secret that the kid was adopted and why he was angry at his parents about it. I also didn't really understand why Catherine was expecting her kids to be devastated by their grandparents getting divorced. I'm sure they've seen divorced people before. Her planting the idea in their heads that their grandparents might stop loving them was bizarre and stupid. I highly doubt they were thinking that. And even for her, it was weird. She's a grown ass adult. I know she was projecting her own child self onto her kids, but still-- it seemed to me waaaaay over the top. I felt bad for the dog being left in the care of the mother in law who didn't like her. They seem to be making us want it to be Brett's ex's new husband who is the corpse. Or else Alice's husband's mom. I felt bad for the dog being left in the care of the mother in law who didn't respect actually thought it Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153275-s01e10-seasons/#findComment-8645935

It can't be him because they hinted at him being alive when the ex got mad at Brett for scaring the private dick and the cop who was asking questions to Brett after the murder would know that Brett who know who is ex wife is married to. It would not be some stranger. And it can't be Alice's husband mom because they also hinted that it was a man. It is going to be some nobody we haven't met yet. 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153275-s01e10-seasons/#findComment-8646560
seacliffsal April 27 Share April 27 So, the 'joke' is on Catherine that she wouldn't sell her parents' house to a young couple who wanted to put in a pool but ended up selling it to someone who's going to tear it down. Alrighty. I don't care for Alice, but it's on her that she got a puppy knowing that her lease doesn't allow dogs. I find it hard to believe that they had the other dog for 7 years and the landlord never found out. I don't understand why she and Doug would want someone else sleeping in basically the same room as they in order to take the dog out at night. It wasn't a surprise to me that Birdie is pregnant. Loved this show for the first couple of episodes, but I just can't even bother to try to figure out the timeline with all the time jumps. Just tell the story. 3 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153275-s01e10-seasons/#findComment-8646889

Didn’t Brett’s wife’s husband lose his job last episode?? Now he has clients? Why would the MIL agree to get up with the dog? Because she wants a baby? Makes no sense!! This show is all over the place and not very good. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153275-s01e10-seasons/#findComment-8647676
blackwing Monday at 09:56 PM Share Monday at 09:56 PM One of the many many problems with this show is that it is very uneven. It's like each episode is written by a different writer who really didn't care what the person who wrote the previous episode wrote, they just want to put their own spin on it. Reminds me of that exercise in junior high school where everyone starts a story and then each successive day the books are passed to the left and the next person continues the story. There are so many plot points and storylines on this show that things seem to be really hot and important and then suddenly they get dropped. Like whatever happened to Gary? He was the main villain of the first few episodes. He had the affair with Catherine, got found out, then Catherine's husband had his guys beat him up and throw him out of a van in his underwear. Now he doesn't seem to exist anymore. The Garden Club President ate the last 4 or so episodes, and seemed to have taken over as Chief Villain from Gary. But now seems to have been relegated to unimportance. Cop didn't show up this time. Instead, we have now introduced a new storyline with Catherine's parents divorce and sale of their house. I'm trying to figure out, why do we care? These two can't possibly have anything to do with the central plot point, which is the murder. Alice's mother-in-law has now become the Chief Villain. Brett's ex's husband seems to have become a red herring. I can't keep any more plot items in my head and I just want it to be over. Only three episodes left and supposedly next episode we will finally find out who is dead. Super irritating that it took us so long to get there. I don't even know if this episode revealed at the end the latest "bathed in a blue light" character that cannot be the dead body. I think Alice was doing it as punishment to her mother-in-law for her years of interference. She said that it was a test run for when they had a baby. Alice was taking glee in making her mother-in-law do everything, including writing in the poop journal. Don't understand how or why she wouldn't think the woman would get her revenge. I don't think it's that unreasonable that the landlord never found out they had a dog. Perhaps the landlord lives out of state and never visits the house. If there was any work that needed to be done (HVAC servicing, etc), I doubt any of those workers would think anything of there being a dog in a single family house. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153275-s01e10-seasons/#findComment-8647980

Gary is selling shoes at the mall. He is a great salesman since he sold everybody in town a pair of those green sneakers like "quiche" was wearing. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153275-s01e10-seasons/#findComment-8648441

Then he realized Birdie was his bio mom, which I can see being kind of upset with her too because tbh I always thought it was a little weird she randomly decided to come to his town and interact with him so maybe he did, too. 15 hours ago, blackwing said: One of the many many problems with this show is that it is very uneven. I know the promo said we'll find out in the next ep who they killed but I don't buy it lol. I hope so though. I am not following really closely anymore, mostly just hanging out for the dead body. But something was said about "somebody in the building" reported the dog. First of all, I thought where they were living looked like a converted garage. It didn't look like an apartment building, per se. Also, I don't think anyone in the "building" cares about there being a dog there one way or another which is why they had the other dog for 7 years. Hateful MIL is the one who reported the dog to the absentee landlord. And probably made a complaint that couldn't be ignored, like the dog was aggressive or something. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153275-s01e10-seasons/#findComment-8649315
