If you want to feel old, Dr. Chase was played by the same actor who was Carrie's jazz playing boyfriend on Sex and the City in episodes that aired 24 years ago.

Teddy's such a b----.

I did want someone to tell her that she can't have it both ways.  You can't agree to an open marriage then get angry when your husband sleeps with someone else!

Remember when Teddy and Owen went on the run with their kids because Owen did something illegal? Those were good times. Teddy is such a neurotic hypocrite. We know the hospital has a psychiatric department because Jo checked herself in. It's time for Teddy to do the same.

Owen being all relaxed and happy because he got laid made me laugh.

That guy with the icepick in his chest was an idiot. They said don't move so of course he moves. It's not like he sneezed. Dude was too stupid to live.

Watching Bailey fawn over Chase was embarrassing.

I completely forgot about Kwan and his weird romantic situation.

Maybe I missed part of the conversation (and I've already deleted the episode from my DVR), but how did the guy get stabbed?  He met a girl (but can't remember much about her), they talked for 17 minutes and then he fell on an icepick?  What did I miss?

Also she doesn't get to get mad at him pointing out that she wanted to open the marriage so she could sleep with Whatshername. Just because she couldn't go through with it when the opportunity arose doesn't mean what he said isn't true.

And it's partly Millin's fault for showing him the picture. He got all excited when he saw it was the right person. (Which...how did she find her? She was asking for details like hair color and stuff. What exactly did she use to narrow down to this particular person? )

He was tending bar (at the event the woman was attending), slipped somehow, and landed on the ice pick.

Thanks for the explanation!  (I think that might have been just about the moment when I knocked over a full glass of ice water onto my coffee table and had to concentrate on mopping up the mess -- and didn't think to go back and re-watch what I had missed.)

I really wanted Simone to tell Bailey about her old attending from beginning. It wasn’t gossip or a minor issue, between his treatment of her and letting a previous black patient linger in pain, he was clearly foul. And maybe spilling the truth would’ve helped plant a seed and wisened Bailey up to his fraudulent ways. Also, watching Bailey try to balance what Simone told her and the medical results she hoped for would’ve been a lot more interesting than what happened. The scammer scammed and so far got away with it. Really hoping there’s an exposure is on the horizon. Because I want to see him stripped of his medical licence.

I didn’t recognize him right away but when I did that was exactly what immediately came to mind! The saxophone and that stupid hat.

I kept thinking that Simone really needed to have a talk with Bailey and tell her exactly what happened in her previous residency. Chase is a racist, sexist SOB. The nerve of him saying Bailey’s not so great—I really wished Simone had yelled “Oh yeah? She cleaned up your mess and successfully resected the tumor after you gave up!” after him as he left.

Both male patients came across as idiots. The kid knows he could die at any sudden motion yet tries to jump up when Millin finds the girl? I think Teddy should really blame herself for this one. Her telling Millin to find her was exactly what led to this outcome, and she only decided he should “fight for her” (or however she put it) because of her own issue with Owen.

He’d said she was interested in bugs. Millin must have used that because she found her in an entomology club.

I really hope Millin doesn’t go tell this girl what happened. Incredibly bad idea. She talked to the guy for all of 15 minutes and they didn’t even exchange numbers. Telling her will just make her feel like she’s the reason he died.

Completely sick of Owen and Teddy. Especially Teddy since she was being a hypocrite with Owen and a complete bitch to Ben.

Owen and Teddy give me a headache. Everytime they vaguely get stable, one of them has to ruin it (though that's Teddy more often than not). Owen secretly assisting patients commit suicide. Owen running between Teddy and Amelia. Owen sort of running between Teddy and Christina. Teddy naming their kid after her girlfriend. Teddy cheating on Owen repeatedly with Koracick (including on their wedding day). Teddy almost cheating at the conference reminiscing about the ex-girlfriend. Now she's opened the relationship solely to get her rocks off and because she was unhappy in the marriage and has the nerve to get angry because he actually went through with it. They are both pompous, competitive with each other, impulsive when their feelings are hurt or unresolved, and are two of the few on the show who regularly lash out at others at work because of their personal mess. But, Owen usually can at least make a choice and stick with it. She's exactly like him but is indecisive and angry at every one else because she can never make up her mind about what she wants. Even if she doesn't like that her went through with HER opening of the marriage, she cheated with Tom a million times in the most disrespectful ways and he forgave her! So insufferable and entitled.

Owen and Teddy were supposedly best friends. They have barely acted like it since she left the show the first time. Weren't they introduced as some kind of dark George and Izzie (best friends with one longing for the other)? Is this what George and Izzie would've been like if they got and stayed married way too long? I thought the show realized that was a bad idea.

Sorry for the raging stream of consciousness, but why can't they get hit by a bus, have a helicopter fall on them, get stabbed chasing a predator, or die in a plane crash?
