seacliffsal April 6 Share April 6 I can't even follow the storylines anymore as I'm so confused by '6 months' 'present day' '4 months' etc. I will stick out the season though as I'm like that-I will follow through for some kind of closure. The only lead I still really like and root for is Birdie, but I don't need to see a huge love triangle develop. I did like that the realtor got the contract because she had the PTA list... 8 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152785-s01e07-germination/#findComment-8627603
bunnyface April 7 Share April 7 Okay, so if I'm following this correctly, and God only knows if I am, Gary The Gross Realtor is not who they killed, right? Because he showed up in a scene after the murder (a blue scene). Right? Maybe? 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152785-s01e07-germination/#findComment-8628330

Hell if I know, but I am grateful you are still trying to track it because I'm totally confused. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152785-s01e07-germination/#findComment-8628352
Absolom April 7 Share April 7 I don't even try any more. I let it run and figure six months after the season ends, I won't even remember I watched the show so no big thing. I just pay attention to selected scenes now like the PTA mom thing to sell the house. 3 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152785-s01e07-germination/#findComment-8628362
possibilities April 7 Share April 7 In a way, I'm impressed that I can still enjoy the show when I really don't know what is going on half the time. Each scene sort of makes sense, but the timeline is a total mystery and thus the narrative does not work at all. 4 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152785-s01e07-germination/#findComment-8628896

And I am pretty sure Alice's husband isn't the one they killed because she does seem to love him so I can't really imagine her being so chill about that. I don't even know who is left though. It better not be a stranger. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152785-s01e07-germination/#findComment-8630789
bunnyface April 10 Share April 10 In my head, that leaves the kid, which I can't see Birdie doing, and the husband-in-law of the guy into Alice, which I think would be okay, and the high school douche, which is okay too. Can't think of anyone else. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152785-s01e07-germination/#findComment-8630925
tennisgurl April 10 Share April 10 Alice just being like "fuck it, we're watching movies" was pretty great, possibly the most I've liked her. Very understandable all things considered, and of course that annoying mom is all for it. I truly have no idea what is happening anymore at all, not in a mystery kind of way and more in a confusion way, I have no idea when anything is taking place I cant follow the time jumps, but I am weirdly still enjoying the ride. I don't at all think its going to last after this season, but I am invested enough to want to see how it ends. I liked Catherine aggressively performing as she fake sold a house, and that she got the win because of her PTA connections. Its really fun to see Michaela and Connor from HTGAWM competing against each other again, I kept waiting for them to cut to Annalise Keating watching them looking very unimpressed. 3 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152785-s01e07-germination/#findComment-8631813
blackwing April 11 Share April 11 I agree with everyone that I am hopelessly confused on the timeline. The whole "present day", "six months later", "six months earlier".... way too confusing. I thought I figured out that when they do "six months later" it's about having to dig up the body because of the impending construction, and then the very next scene is always "six months earlier" meaning we go back to present day. But I truly have no clue. If they wanted to do the jumping timelines, they should have used actual dates. Like "April 17" for present day and "October 10" for the future scenes. Would have been a lot more clear, at least to me. This show is taking way too long to tell us who is dead. Clearly the cop that came into the garden store and asked Brett "hey do you know a _____" mentioned the name, and it's annoying that the show cut that off and didn't let us hear it. I'm already confused enough as it is, why can't they just tell us? Can't think of anyone else. Birdie's kid, Brett's ex's husband, Alice's student are all possibilities. Catherine's husband and Alice's husband are possibilities. But I think this episode introduced another possibility, which is the husband of the Garden Club lady with the flinty voice. I think he is the mayor? I don't know why the show would think any viewer would care if it was the mayor. If it's not someone with a close connection to one of the four leads, that's a cop-out. Was there definite confirmation that it's a man? I want to say I think Catherine and Birdie seemed to ambiguously refer to driving "their car" as opposed to "his" or "her" car? If it's a woman perhaps it's Alice's mother-in-law. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152785-s01e07-germination/#findComment-8632443
bunnyface April 11 Share April 11 I don't see a media thread for this, so not sure where to put it, so putting it here. I just saw this story. I hope this doesn't mean they end it on a cliff-hanger and then move to streaming, which I won't watch. Ugh. https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/grosse-point-garden-society-season-2-faces-cancellation-at-nbc-but-there-is-good-news/ar-AA1CJeAv?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=7a1a08921a1641c1c7efe15f574c9e2c&ei=84 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152785-s01e07-germination/#findComment-8632524
Absolom April 11 Share April 11 I think the may move is more of a teaser or false hope. Dead last in the ratings doesn't usually indicate a move to streaming, but more to the garbage bin. I don't see any fan movements demanding it be continued either. It's more like please identify the deceased and then please bury the show and the time shifting concept. 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152785-s01e07-germination/#findComment-8632694

But also I too have literally no idea what is happening ever so I might be making this up or confusing it with something else.
